Background: Natural products are commonly used for treating health problems. These products may be associated with adverse events, which are defined as "noxious and unintended response to a medicinal product" by the European Medicine Agency. Objectives: To identify studies describing at least one adverse event (or with potential to promote an adverse event) related to the use of natural products, as well as to describe the involved product(s) and adverse event(s). Methods: A pre-systematic review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses criteria. Keywords: "natural product(s)" and ["adverse drug reaction(s)" or "adverse effect(s)"]. Screened databases: PubMed, SciELO, DOAJ and Google Scholar. Inclusion criteria: papers describing at least one adverse event associated with the use of natural products and published between 2017 and 2019. Exclusion criteria: Repeated studies, reviews and papers written in other languages than English, Portuguese, French or Spanish. Results: 104 studies were identified (20 PubMed; 0 SciELO; 2 DOAJ; 82 Google Scholar), but only 10 were selected (4 PubMed and 6 Google Scholar): 1 in-vitro study; 2 non-clinical studies, 1 study reporting in-vitro and clinical data and 5 studies were cases reports. Globally, 997 reports of adverse drug reactions with natural products were identified, mainly non-severe cases. Conclusion: Since a limited number of studies was found, we conclude that adverse events due to natural products may be underreported, or natural products may have a good safety profile. This review contributes for assuring the safety of natural products consumers, by evaluating the knowledge/information on the potential adverse events and interactions of these products.

The worldwide prevalence of obesity has dramatically increased, mostly in children and adolescents. The Emotional Eating theoretical model has proposed that the failure in emotional regulation could represent a risk factor for establishing maladaptive overeating behavior that represents an inadequate response to negative emotions and allows increasing body-weight. This systematic review investigates the relationship between overeating and both emotional regulation and emotional intelligence in childhood and adolescence, considering both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies. Moreover, another goal of the review is evaluating whether emotional regulation and emotional intelligence can cause overeating behaviors. The systematic search was conducted according to the PRISMA-statement in the databases Medline, PsychArtcles, PsychInfo, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Sciences, and allows 484 records to be extracted. Twenty-six studies were selected according to inclusion (e.g., studies focused on children and adolescents without clinical conditions; groups of participants overweight or with obesity) and exclusion (e.g., studies that adopted qualitative assessment or cognitive-affective tasks to measure emotional variables; reviews, commentary, or brief reports) criteria detailed in the methods. Cross-sectional studies showed a negative association between emotional regulation and overeating behavior that was confirmed by longitudinal studies. These findings highlighted the role of maladaptive emotion regulation on overeating and being overweight. The relationship between these constructs in children and adolescents was consistent. The results indicated the complexity of this association, which would be influenced by many physiological, psychological, and social factors. These findings underline the need for further studies focused on emotion regulation in the development of overeating. They should analyze the mediation role of other variables (e.g., attachment style, peer pressure) and identify interventions to prevent and reduce worldwide overweight prevalence.

This study aims to find the surrounding indigenous pesantren through the kyai leadership style in educating students. The method used is a systematic review through review articles using inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. Article searches were accessed from internet searches in the database, namely: proquest.com, Scincedirect and google scholar with the keywords leadership style, Kyai leadership, and santri education. Data analysis was done by collecting articles that met the inclusion criteria collected and examined systematically. Search for literature published from 2015 to 2020. The results of the study showed that the kyai's leadership style in educating students was a leader who had unique characteristics and became an example for his students and had a duty to carry out the task of developing this nation and country. The figure of a kyai who was sincere, simple and tenacious in educating and disciplined in carrying out his duties, this was all reflected in the characteristics of a teacher in Islam, namely, as Murabbi, Muallim, Muaddib and Mudaris. Therefore, the kyai is an exemplary and charismatic figure who is able to influence both within the pesantren and outside the pesantren or in society, so that the students will be similar to the leader of the pesantren, namely the kyai when they have graduated.

Objective: To perform a systematic review of articles that evaluated the scientific production on SARS-CoV-2 through bibliometric analyzes. Methods: Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar databases were used. After applying the pre-established inclusion criteria, 30 articles were included. Results. The total number of articles found in the bibliometric studies on SARS-CoV-2 varied widely from 153 to 21,395 articles and an average equal to 4,279 (± 5,510). A total of 17 countries published within the scope of this study, but only six published more than one article, emphasizing authors from Chinese institutions (17%). Scopus was the most used database in bibliometric studies (50%, n = 15). The articles used 72 different keywords with emphasis on: COVID-19 (15%), SARS-CoV-2 (12%) and 2019-nCoV (9%). Conclusion. We are facing an unprecedented scenario of information about SARS-CoV-2 and this has required a collective scientific effort reflected in the daily publication of hundreds of studies (articles, pre-prints, clinical guides, protocols). Bibliometric methods are being increasingly used by the scientific community to systematize this information. Therefore, the systematic review carried out in this study provided an overview of the bibliometric literature on the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Objective – To examine how the Key Mediating Variable (KMV) model of Morgan and Hunt’s Commitment-Trust Theory of Relationship Marketing can be used to look at the relationships between librarians and faculty as reported in the literature. Relationship marketing stresses customer retention and long-term customer relationships, rather than focusing on the product. To also identify: 1) the methods reported in the literature to evaluate relationships between librarians and faculty; 2) the elements reported in the literature that lead to commitment and trust in librarian-faculty relationships; and 3) the elements reported in the literature that prevent commitment and trust in librarian-faculty relationships. Design – A systematic review. Setting – A university in the United States. Subjects – 304 journal articles on librarian-faculty relationships were read and analyzed for variables included in the KMV model of relationship marketing. Methods – The authors searched 20 databases to find publications in various disciplines. Their search strategy included, but was not limited, to the following keywords: faculty, librarian*, relationships, library users, information professionals, liaisons, academic, university, college*, collaboration, and perceptions. They initially selected 389 references based on the occurrence of search terms in the title or abstract, as well as the presence of related subject headings. The authors then read the abstracts and included/excluded references based on the following criteria: Inclusion criteria: Academic libraries or special libraries. English language, any instance of collaboration or cooperation, subject term or mention of relationship, the words trust or commitment or antecedents or outcomes from the model included in the abstract. Exclusion criteria: blogs, books, emails, or any article that could not meet the subject inclusion criteria (p. 14). Additional articles were identified by scanning the bibliographies of the articles selected at the abstract stage, searching the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and Google Scholar, as well as conducting a cited reference search in Web of Science and Google Scholar. Among the 304 journal articles that the authors selected, read and analyzed, only 13 of these satisfied the last inclusion criteria of the systematic review in that they contained “a high presence of the KMV model’s antecedents and outcomes” (p. 15). Many articles concentrated on a service or project that librarians worked on with faculty and did not discuss the librarian-faculty relationship. Main Results – 77 out of the 304 analyzed articles discussed research methodologies. The methods used in these articles to evaluate relationships between librarians and faculty were: surveys (53%); literature reviews (26%); interviews (18%); and focus groups (5%). The 13 articles containing variables from the KMV model indicated the following positive antecedents as leading to commitment and trust in librarian-faculty relationships: communication (7/13 articles); shared values (7/13 articles); and relationship benefits (7/13 articles). The negative antecedent that hindered commitment and trust in librarian-faculty relationships was reported as opportunistic behavior in 4 articles (e.g., librarians seen as having an ulterior motive when they market their services to faculty). Cooperation (12/13 articles); functional conflict (2/13 articles); and uncertainty, i.e., faculty uncertain about the teaching ability of librarians (2/13 articles), were found to be the outcomes of relationships between librarians and faculty. Conclusion – The authors found that “a focus on communication, shared values and benefits of the relationship would build stronger ties and foster commitment and trust with teaching faculty” (p. 17). Whereas the literature shows that collaborations between librarians and faculty are important to librarians’ work, very few studies have actually examined the librarian-faculty relationship. Future studies should explore in-depth the basics of relationship building between librarians and faculty.

Aging of the skin naturally occurs with increasing age due to several factors involving the reduction of collagen, elastin and many other proteins which help maintain strength and integrity of the skin. Several strategies and treatments were developed to fight and slow down this unstoppable ongoing natural process, however, many of the widely available products may not be as efficient as advertised. The aim was to discuss and investigate the truths and myths about skin anti-aging products and strategies by reviewing the previous studies conducted on this subject. Google scholar database was explored to search for articles related to the current subjects starting from 2010 till 2021. The included searching terms were a combination of anti-aging strategies and efficacy, anti-aging products and myths, anti-aging products and usage of women and perception and attitude of women and anti-aging strategies. The inclusion criteria included original articles conducted on anti-aging products and strategies and full text articles. A total of 40 articles were obtained, only three articles were eligible for the inclusion criteria. The three studies included a total number of 192 participants. Some anti-aging products were found to improve skin health and improve the level of coarse and fine wrinkles and lines. However, their efficacy was limited and doesn't act as magic.

This study, which is based on a systematic review, focuses on the literature published in the field of cyberchondria in 2021 (January-September) and aims to offer suggestions for further research. In the study, the data obtained by scanning the word ‘cyberchondria' in Science Direct, Sprink Link, PubMed, Sage Journal, and Google Scholar databases were used. When accessing data, two inclusion criteria were set: First, the study's title included ‘cyberchondria.' Second, the release year was 2021. Doing this was important in three ways: The first was the existence of systematic analyzes in previous years. Therefore, the inclusion of 2020 and earlier in the study could have included the risk of duplication of existing literature. The second was to answer the question of what extent the cyberchondria is being discussed today. The third was to reveal the distinctiveness of the findings/inferences to be uttered in this book.

The age factor plays a key role to the successful rates of ARTs protocols. The practical answer to this problem would be the acceptance of an egg, donated by a younger woman, who wants to undergo ovary stimulation, thus offering her cell to a female recipient. This review aims to investigate the psychological adjustment of parents who have used gamete donation, as well as its effect on the psychological adjustment of children in case of disclosing the children’s donor origin. The PubMed and Google Scholar databases were searched for peer reviewed papers, focusing on parents’ psychological adjustment after gamete donation. Key search inclusion criteria included all papers published in English (between 2005 and 2019) relating to investigate the psychological adjustment of parents after gamete donation, as well as its effect on the psychological adjustment of children in case of disclosing the children’s donor origin. These families are possibly expected to be affected by the circumstances of the birth, especially in case of gamete donation or surrogacy, in terms of parents’ thoughts, feelings and behavior towards the child.

Emotional eating is associated with an increased risk of binge eating, eating in the absence of hunger and obesity risk. While previous studies with children and adolescents suggest that emotion regulation may be a key predictor of this dysregulated eating behavior, little is known about what other factors may be influencing the link between emotional regulation and emotional eating in adolescence. This multi-method longitudinal study (n = 138) utilized linear regression models to examine associations between childhood emotion regulation, adolescent weight status and negative body image, and emotional eating at age 17. Emotion regulation predicted adolescent emotional eating and this link was moderated by weight status (β = 1.19, p < 0.01) and negative body image (β = −0.34, p < 0.01). Higher engagement in emotional eating was predicted by lower emotional regulation scores among normal-weight teens (β = −0.46, p < 0.001) but not among overweight/obese teens (β = 0.32, p > 0.10). Higher scores on emotion regulation were significantly associated with lower emotional eating at high (β = −1.59, p < 0.001) and low (β = −1.00, p < 0.01) levels of negative body image. Engagement in emotional eating was predicted by higher negative body image among overweight/obese teens only (β = 0.70, p < 0.001). Our findings show that while better childhood emotion regulation skills are associated with lower emotional eating, weight status and negative body image influence this link and should be considered as important foci in future interventions that aim to reduce emotional eating in adolescence.
