Rare earths (REs) play an important role in modern life, and have been the focus of global attention in recent years. As a result, the number of scientific publications has grown enormously, increasing the need for understanding the knowledge base of various research streams and their emerging branches. The economic analysis of REs has also augmented steadily. Nevertheless, the relevant literature is rather fragmented concerning the thematic topics. To respond to this, a systematic review in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) and a bibliometric analysis were developed to offer a systematic and holistic literature review of the economic research on REs. This review incorporates studies of REs regarding aspects of supply, price, export policy, international trade, relationship with clean energy, and sustainability. The database of this review includes a set of 85 systemically selected state-of-the-art articles from five databases, including Web of Science, Science Direct, Springer, Proquest, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) that were published after the rare earth crisis, covering empirical and theory research conducted in different countries with different resource endowments. The results show that the majority of the economic research studies have been conducted in the past six years. Furthermore, among the six categories, the most popular research trend is sustainability. Some possible opportunities for future research are also illustrated in this paper.

The teaching management of higher education institutions (HEIs) has traditionally focused on processing compliance with regulated curricular conditions rather than normalizing the learning and knowledge developed to be transferred to society. The motivation of knowledge management in HEIs should be oriented to the strengthening of knowledge preservation strategies. In recent decades, this model has been a growing interest on the part of academics and academic institutions at the international level. The main objective of this study is to analyze the research trends on knowledge management in HEIs worldwide during the period 2000-2019. Bibliometric techniques were applied to a sample of 1,836 articles from scientific journals selected from the Scopus database. The study documented a rapidly growing knowledge base, mostly written by academics located in developed societies. This chapter provides a point of reference for future research on this topic, as well as revealing the intellectual structure of this interdisciplinary field.

Abstract Environmental and urban sciences have shown that brownfield problems have a significant impact on human behavior and its environment. Understanding the sustainable planning and redevelopment of brownfields can therefore help governments and financial partners to consider sustainable urban policies as a key priority. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research publications on the sustainable redevelopment of brownfields through the Scopus database since 1990. The redevelopment of brownfields having an essential role in urban sustainability, so research trends on sustainable redevelopment brownfields in previous literature are revealed. To our knowledge, the bibliometric analysis of the term sustainable redevelopment of brownfields is not yet an accentuated field of research. To do this, this study aims to fill this gap by offering a broad overview of the bibliometric analysis of the literature relating to this term. Brownfield and contaminated land are used as a keyword in the article titles taken from the Scopus database on September 07, 2021. A total of 7197 scientific articles (Scopus) were reviewed to show how the research on " brownfields or contaminated land” has emerged and developed. Social media analysis (VOSviewer) was used for data visualization and Harzing's Publish or Perish is used for metrics and citation analysis. The results showed an increase in the growth rate of the literature on sustainable brownfield redevelopment since 1990, particularly from 2011 to 2020. Research related to the sustainable redevelopment of brownfields has involved various authors and is published in various languages. There are 160 authors from 126 countries and 160 institutions. The China is the largest contributor to this study, followed by the United States and United Kingdom. The Chemosphere Journal has published the most articles on the sustainable redevelopment of brownfields. Background: Possible applications of photoelectrocatalysis in the field of environmentally sustainable processes have inspired an exponentially increasing number of papers in the last decades. Less frequently, bibliometric analyses are presented, which are especially useful when a considerable amount of data is involved: metadata can be viewed from micro to macro perspective and may suggest ideas for future research. Objective: The objective of this study is to derive information on the research trends and to individuate possible gaps in specific topics, as well information on the authors and their related countries and institutes, and to quantify possible cooperation patterns between them. Methods: In addition to the classic data analyses immediately available on the database, such as the trend of the number of publications per year and the list of the most active authors or countries, the bibliometric analysis has been carried out using the VOSviewer software. Co-authorship and co-citation analyses have been performed, as well as co-occurrence of the keywords explicitly indicated by the authors. Results and Conclusion: Based on the publications in the SCOPUS database, the present work analysed the metadata relating to scientific articles published in the last two decades, dedicated to the research on photo-electrocatalytic processes and their possible application on wastewater treatment. Based on the list of the references present in the examined papers, the co-authorship analysis and the co-citation analysis also allowed the identification of the authors and the publications which have been most influential on the research on the examined topics. Indication has been obtained on the trend of the main topics investigated in time, as well as the current gaps in terms of content-wise and geographic cooperation.
