Hence, qualitative data were collected from mother utilizing face-to-face interview.

The development of music, film, and other industry of entertainment is stated to contribute to the existence of slang words. There are so many slang words that become popular after they are included in the lyrics of songs. One of them is YOLO (You Only Live Once) which is popularized by Drake. In relation to that, this descriptive qualitative research attempts to find out the types and word formation processes of slang words found in the lyrics of Drake’s songs. By taking the model of document analysis by Bowen (2009) and Qualitative data analysis by Miles and Hubberman (1994), it is found out that there are 190 slang words existing in the lyrics of Drake’s songs. They are respectively categorized into Clipping type (62 slangs), Fresh and Creative type (44 slangs), Compounding type (44 slangs), Imitative type (36 slangs), and Acronym type (4 slangs).

We conducted an exploratory descriptive qualitative study on extant data of responses to the state’s open-ended question from their annual post-school outcomes survey: “ If you could tell your school one thing, what would you tell them (make a suggestion to help better prepare current students for life after high school)?” Respondents from one northwest state consisted of former students with disabilities who had been out of school for 1 year or their designee. We analyzed 1,493 statements using consensual qualitative research–modified (CQR-M) method: a modification of CQR in which large quantities of simple qualitative data are analyzed inductively. Findings clustered in four domains: advice, help, satisfaction, and awareness. Implications for stakeholders and recommendations for further research are provided.

Abstract Students in a University have many problems that can impact the success of their study. In order to help students for searching solutions, they have a lecturer as a student counselor. But the process of counselling u student and student counselor sometimes not working, there are barriers between them. Interpersonal communication is communication between at least two people, face to face and there are openness, emphaty, positiveness, supportiveness and equality in effective interpersonal communication.This is a descriptive qualitative research, using depth interview to key informan and informan to collect data. The interpersonal communication between student counselor and student had been used, but only in academic problem. Students haven’t believed their lecturer to talk about personal problem. According to that problem, counselors have to make their student comfortable to talk their personal problem. Key word : Effective interpersonal communication, student counselor, student problem   Terkadang mahasiswa menemui banyak kendala dan beragam baik akademis maupun masalah pribadi yang dapat mengganggu proses belajar mahasiswa dan akan menentukan tercapai tidaknya hasil pengembangan potensi dan hasil belajar yang optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukanlah peran dosen penasehat akademik untuk memberikan bimbingan, motivasi serta nasehat yang bersifat akademik kepada mahasiswa. Dari sudut pandang ilmu komunikasi, agar proses kepenasehatan akademik berjalan sebagaimana mestinya maka diperlukan sebuah pola komunikasi yang efektif dan efisien antara dosen penasehat akademik dan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori komunikasi antar pribadi yang efektif menurut ancangan humanistic dengan keterbukaan, empati, sikap positif, sikap mendukung dan kesetaraan. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menentukan key informan dan informan sebelumnya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam. Pola komunikasi antar pribadi dengan menggunakan ancangan humanistis belum dilaksanakan secara optimal, keterbukaan, empati, sikap mendukung, sikap positif dan kesetaraan pada dasarnya sudah dilakukan namun masih dalam tataran permasalahan akademis saja. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut penulis menyarankan agar komunikasi antar pribadi dilakukan lebih intensif, tidak hanya pada permasalahan akademis dan jemput bola perlu dilakukan oleh dosen PA terhadap mahasiswa. Covid-19 has changed many sectors of life, including education. Various countries have adapted to the online learning system as a response. However, online learning also came with price. Limitations for online meeting applications gave more freedom feeling to students. As a result, students did impolite and improper acts towards teachers and during online classes. In normal face to face class situations, students have more pressure on ethics therefore they think twice about doing improper acts, but the freedom of online learning altered that. The problem is, “What are the effects of online learning on students’ behavior?” So, authors aim to find the relationship between online learning and students’ behavior including ethics and morality. Thus, finding a possible solution as an effort to minimize the effect and possibly prevent unexpected things in the future. Authors used literature review and questionnaire to gather data and descriptive-qualitative research to analyze the data. Various data gathered and connected with each other, and proven that online learning gave more freedom for students and students themselves used it to do impolite and improper acts. The limitation of this research is that the number of respondents was 30, therefore it needs to be expanded on to a wider audience.

The purpose of research is to examine integrated Christian religious education among the disabled. The disability is for everyone who has a long period of intellectual, and mental disability. Limitations that have been imposed have a bearing on the difficulty of effectively interacting with those around them. Therefore, what happens in the lives of those who have disability is feeling neglected. As though no room in living life is what everyone is entitled to. This is what has become a problem until now. The onset of the problem requires Christianity education is not only present in the form of a formal educations but also in non-formal education. The non-formal education referred to is the family, and community ward Church. Hence the research method to be used is, a descriptive qualitative study method. Descriptive qualitative research is understood to describe a condition of its nature without manipulating the variables. This type of research is exploited with qualitative data and then descriptive. Like analyzing phenomena of phenomena and social circumstances. So based on that the findings that are available in the research are: the integration of Christian religious education is where all parties in either formal education are the family, and community churches capable of building the character and mentality of those with disabilities. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji pendidikan agama kristen yang terintegrasi terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Penyandang disabilitas adalah setiap orang yang mengalami keterbatasan fisik, intelektual, mental, dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Keterbatasan yang dialami memberi dampak terhadap sulitnya berinteraksi secara efektif dengan orang disekitarnya.  Terkait itu, maka yang terjadi dalam kehidupan para penyandang disabilitas ialah merasa terabaikan. Seperti tidak diberi ruang dalam menjalani kehidupan seperti hak setiap orang pada umumnya. Hal inilah yang kemudian menjadi masalah hingga saat ini.  Timbulnya masalah tersebut mengharuskan pendidikan agama kristen tidak hanya hadir dalam dunia Pendidikan formal, namun juga dalam Pendidikan non formal. Pendidikan non formal yang dimaksud ialah gereja, lingkungan keluarga dan masyarakat.  Oleh karena itu metode penelitian yang akan digunakan ialah, metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dipahami sebagai penggambaran suatu kondisi apa adanya tanpa melakukan manipulasi pada variabel yang diteliti. Jenis penelitian ini memanfaatkan data kualitatif lalu menguraikan secara deskriptif. Seperti menganalisis suatu kejadian, fenomena, dan keadaan sosial.  Maka berdasarkan hal itu, temuan temuan yang ada dalam penelitian adalah: hadirnya Pendidikan agama kristen secara terintegrasi, dimana semua pihak baik dalam Pendidikan formal ataupun non formal yakni: Gereja, keluarga dan masyarakat mampu membina karakter dan mental para penyandang disabilitas.

Use of photography and poetry offer a way for participants to express lived experiences through a visual and written means of self-expression. These forms of data collection can provide a rich, thick description of those often overlying on the peripherals of society. Traditional means of qualitative research such as interview and observation can at times create a barrier between the researcher and the participants because of the face-to-face interaction. Participants may be uncomfortable expressing authentic feeling during a formal interview process. By offering participants the opportunity to personally select descriptive photographs and articulate expression in their own voice through poetry, an authentic expression occurs.

AbstractThe article focuses on a method for collecting qualitative data. The method is the asynchronous email interview. The authors assess the advantages, challenges and best practices of the asynchronous email interview method. They base their assessment on the academic literature and their own experiences using this data collection method in qualitative research on women who had experienced perinatal loss. The asynchronous email interview will never fully replace traditional face-to-face interviews, but it could gain a solid position as a qualitative research method thanks to its unique benefits.

An online learning system that is currently being implemented at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan during the pandemic. In online learning, students are expected to continue to follow the learning schedule and collect assignments according to the time set. So that this online learning will foster the responsibility of students in participating in online learning. In the research process using descriptive qualitative research methods, by understanding social or human problems by analyzing words. The results of this study conclude that even though it is not possible to conduct face-to-face learning due to the covid 19 pandemic, SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan still carries out online learning well
