Capital mobilization is a traditional business of commercial banks and is one of the core foundations for the development of a bank. Capital mobilization is the main input in the operation of a bank, and this is also the basis for generating output for credit activities as well as other banking activities. This study aims to determine the main factors that affect the decisions of individual customers to put savings deposit in Vietnamese commercial banks. Survey data collected from 403 individual customers were analyzed to provide evidence. The results from the multiple regression analysis by using SPSS software revealed that all scales in this study were reliable, and there were six components impacting the savings deposit decision of individual customers from the strongest to the weakest in the following order: the form of promotion, bank brand, service quality, interest rate policy, and employee knowledge and attitude. Besides, the fnding showed customers who have high income tend to have a stronger decision on savings deposits in commercial banks. The main fndings of this article provide some empirical implications for marketers in banks and serve as a suggestion to improve these factors in order to retain and attract individual customers’ savings deposit decisions

This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting non-performing loans of commercial banks in Vietnam for the period 2007 - 2018. The study applies the Bayesian approach and the Random-walk Metropolis-Hastings algorithm to evaluate the impact of micro and macro factors on non-performing loans of commercial banks. The dependent variable is non-performing loans, which is measured by the ratio of non-performing loans divided by total outstanding loans; the independent variables in terms of bank characteristics are non-performing loans of the previous year, profitability, bank size, bak loans, and bank capital; the macro variables are inflation and GDP growth. Research data was collected from financial statements of 30 Vietnamese commercial banks and the General Statistics Office of Vietnam from 2007 to 2018. To increase the reliability and efficiency of the model as well as reasonable Bayes inference, a convergence test of the MCMC chain was performed. The result of this study shows that non-performing loans of the previous year, bank size, bank loan, bank capital, and inflation have positive impacts on bank non-performing loans. In addition, bank profitability and GDP growth rate are factors that have the opposite effects. Based on the research results, the author proposes policy implications for the decision-makers to help banks reduce non-performing loans and promote banks to operate effectively and more efficiently.

The main purpose of the article is to model the main factors affecting non-performing loan incurred in the process of lending to clients in Vietnam's commercial joint stock banks during the period of 2009 - 2017. The theories and empirical research studies for the macro and micro factors affecting nonperforming loan are mentioned in the research paper. Using the qualitative research method and the quantitative research, the article analyzes the practical credit situation of the whole banking system in Vietnam and non-performing loan ratios of selected banks. In addition, the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) is used in the study to model the major factors impact on non-performing loan. The final results showed that the paper has constructed two models with the result as followed, the first model has six statistically significant variables while the second one has only five variables statistically significant.

The article assesses people’s satisfaction about the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in Cai Lay district Tien Giang province (Vietnam). The data used in the article was collected in 2020, conducted a household survey according to a pre-designed questionnaire, with a total of 292 surveyed households. The information collected is processed using SPSS software and use the method of regression analysis to build models of the main factors affecting people’s satisfaction with the results of the program. Values of variables in the model are build according to Likert scale with 5 levels (very dissatisfied = 1; dissatisfied = 2; neutral = 3; satisfied = 4; very satisfied = 5). The regression results show that the main factors affecting the satisfaction of the people as the “transport system”, “production reorganization”, “market access”, “career change” and “labor training”.

The significant shifts in urbanites’ lifestyles have been the catalyst behind the increased in the consumption of foreign foods and beverages in Malaysia; particularly those made in western nations. Notably, Malaysia’s total import for food had risen significantly from RM26.7 billion in 2009 to RM42.6 billion and RM 45.4 billion, in 2014 and 2015 respectively. These days, urban Malaysian Malays are being inundated with various foreign Halal food products in local markets however, these can also leave them in a rather risky circumstance as the likelihood that some of these foreign food products are not suitable (i.e. Haram) for their consumptions, is relatively high. Halal food issues (namely those foods originated from non-Muslim countries) have created lots of anxieties within the Malaysian Malays’ society. Hence, this study aims to examine factors affecting willingness to accept foreign Halal foods by urban Malaysian Malays. Convenience sampling technique was used to obtain responses from 450 urban Malaysian Malays in designated areas within the Greater Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley region. The results demonstrated urban Malaysian Malays willingness to accept foreign Halal foods were significantly affected by trust but displayed no relationships with subjective knowledge and attitude. Also, the insignificant attitude- willingness relationship signified the presence of the attitude-behavior gap. The study’s outcomes may perhaps offer new understandings on urban Malaysian Malay markets particularly for global brand owners and marketers.
