This classroom action research was motivated by the students’ low scientific process skills, learning motivation, and cognitive learning outcomes in natural science. One of the reasons is the lack of teachers’ ability in choosing appropriate learning approach and using of Kit or learning science equipments in natural science learning. Thus, the implementation of Environmental approach with science Kit Seqip to students of class V at SD Negeri 13 Salak Sawahlunto city is one of the ways to solve this problem. The objective of this research is to describe the improvement of the students’ scientific process skills, learning motivation and cognitive learning outcomes in natural science at class V at SDN 13 Salak Sawahlunto by using Environmental approach with science Kit Seqip. The instruments of this research were the observation sheets of students’ scientific process skills and teachers’ activities, the test sheets of students’ cognitive learning outcomes, and the questionnaire sheets of student’ learning motivation. The results showed that there was a significant improvement of students’ scientific process skills, cognitive learning outcomes and learning motivation in natural science class V by using Environmental approach with science Kit Seqip from the first cycle to the second cycle.words.

Teachers as learning agents must be able to present the learning process contextually by involving the active participation of students. Some students learn best when they have the opportunity to interact with real objects through inquiry activities that will help students deepen their understanding of a concept. Inquiry learning is one that can be adapted to students' abilities, can build cognitive structures, and can motivate students to think critically. This research is classified as descriptive research. The subjects of the research were students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Barabai as many as 78 students in the 2015/2016 academic year on the mushroom group material. The research data were in the form of observations on students' critical thinking skills which were analyzed descriptively using categorical methods, namely very good (≥ 3), good (2-2.99), not good (1-1.99). While cognitive learning outcomes were obtained through tests and success was determined based on KKM = 67 with classical completeness 85%. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills were at least good, namely formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, conducting experiments, and making conclusions, while formulating problems, and analyzing data still needed improvement. Meanwhile, students' cognitive learning outcomes have not yet achieved minimal completeness. Keywords: critical thinking skills, learning outcomes, inquiry AbstrakGuru sebagai agen pembelajar harus mampu menyajikan proses pembelajaran secara kontekstual dengan melibatkan langsung peran serta siswa secara aktif. Sebagian siswa belajar dengan baik apabila mereka mendapat kesempatan berinteraksi dengan benda-benda nyata melalui aktivitas penyelidikan yang akan membantu siswa memperdalam pemahaman suatu konsep. Pembelajaran inkuiri merupakan salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat diadaptasikan dengan kemampuan siswa, dapat membangun struktur kognitif, dan dapat memotivasi siswa untuk berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Barabai sebanyak 78 siswa tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 pada materi pokmok jamur. Data hasil penelitian berupa hasil observasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan kategorikal yakni sangat baik (≥ 3), baik (2-2,99), kurang baik (1-1,99). Sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh melalui tes dan keberhasilan ditetapkan berdasarkan KKM = 67 dengan ketuntasan klasikal ≥ 85%. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sekurang-kurangnya sudah baik, yakni merumuskan hipotesis, merancang percobaan, melakukan percobaan, dan membuat kesimpulan, sedangkan merumuskan masalah, dan menganalisis data masih perlu perbaikan. Sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa belum mencapai ketuntasan minimal. Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir kritis, hasil belajar, inkuiri

One of the reasons is the lack of teachers’ abilityin choosing appropriate learning approach and using of KIT or learning science equipments in natural sciencelearning process. Thus, the implementation of Brain Based Learning approach with science KIT is one of theways to solve this problem. The objective of this research is to describe the improvement of the students’scientific skills, cognitive learning outcomes, and learning interest in natural science at class IV SDN 34Kuranji Padang by using Brain Based Learning approach with science KIT. This Classroom Action Researchwas conducted in two cycles. Students’ learning outcomes test and learning interest questionnaire werecarried out at the end of the cycle. The subjects of this research were 19 fourth grade students in SDN 34Kuranji Padang. The instruments of this research were the observation sheets of students’ scientific skills andteachers’ activities, the test sheets of students’ cognitive learning outcomes and the questionnaire sheets ofstudent’ learning interest. The results showed that the percentage of students’ scientific skills improvementfrom the first cycle to the second cycle for observing indicator from 44.73% into 81.57%, 55.26% for askingquestion indicator into 78.94%, 55.25% for communicating indicator into 84.20%, and 49.99% fortrying/experimenting indicator into 86.84%. In addition, the students’ learning outcome in cycle one was57.89% improved into 89.47% in the second cycle regarding its accomplishment percentage. Meanwhile, thestudents’ learning interest in cycle one was 59.10% improved into 81.51% in the second cycle regarding itsaccomplishment percentage. It indicated that there was a significant improvement of students’ scientificskills, cognitive learning outcomes and learning interest in natural science class IV by using Brain BasedLearning approach with science KIT.

Local wisdom-based science learning modules are one of the science learning models that are oriented to the integration of the values of community local wisdom into science learning material. The aim of the study was to develop a science learning module based on the local wisdom of Sembalun Village to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of junior high school students. The research is a development research with a 4-D model design consisting of 4 stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Research instruments included local wisdom observation sheets, expert validation sheets, learning comprehension observation sheets, cognitive learning outcomes tests, and student response questionnaire sheets. Data collection techniques used is local wisdom observation techniques, validation, observation, tests, and questionnaires. The results of the study stated that the interview results obtained a total score of 62% with good categories. The modules that have been developed are then validated by 2 expert lecturers, with an average score of 3.70 with valid / non-revised categories. Implementation of learning (RPP) with an overall average score of 89.9% with a very good category. Cognitive learning outcomes of students in the small scale readability test with the N-Gain value of 0.36 with the medium category. Response of students with an overall average score of 3.47 in the good category. The results of the study can be concluded that the local wisdom based science learning module can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of VII class Mts Al-Banun students.

The purpose of this study is to describe the grant of science based learning media Kinect to support the improvement of students’ learning outcomes from cognitive aspect. This research is an educational development research which is adapted from the development model according to Borg Gall. The research was conducted in four main stages, that are (1) needs analysis, (2) instructional design, (3) media development, (4) validation. Instruments used in this research are assessment sheets by validator, student response questionnaires, pretests, and post test. After being validated, the media was tested to ten students, so that the results obtained of student responses and the effectiveness of improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. The result of the development is Kinect-based science learning media. From the results of research and development stage as well as experiments that have been done can be concluded that the product can improved student learning outcomes in cognitive aspect

The study of the correlation between learning motivation and metacognitive skill on students’ cognitive learning outcome simultaneously in classes taught by different learning strategies is still lacking. A correlational research was conducted to investigate the contribution of learning motivation and metacognitive skill simultaneously on cognitive learning outcome of 142 students studying biology in classes experiencing different learning strategies at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, State University of Makassar, Indonesia. The learning motivation was measured by using motivation questionnaire adapted from Keller (1983), and metacognitive skill was measured integrated with cognitive test. The findings showed that contribution of learning motivation and metacognitive skills simultaneously on cognitive learning outcomes in PBL-RQA, PBL, RQA, and conventional learning strategies was very high. The contribution of metacognitive skills on cognitive learning outcome was much greater than the contribution of learning motivation. This finding research was contrary with the previous studies. Based on the facts related to metacognitive skills, learning should consider seriously the empowerment of metacognitive skills by implementing appropriate learning strategies. Further researches are needed to reveal the correlation between learning motivation on cognitive learning outcomes in different populations and measuring instruments. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan korelasi menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik <em>random sampling</em>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan<em>: </em>(1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara keluarga harmonis dengan hasil belajar IPA (t<sub>hitung </sub>= 25,479 &gt; t<sub>tabel </sub>= 1,967, r<sub>hitung</sub> = 0,948 &gt; r<sub>tabel</sub> = 0,108) dengan sumbangan sebesar 66,5%; (2) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar tinggi dengan hasil belajar IPA (t<sub>hitung </sub>= 10,649 &gt; t<sub>tabel </sub>= 1,967, r<sub>hitung</sub>  = 0,879 &gt; r<sub>tabel</sub>= 0,108) dengan sumbangan sebesar 25,9%; (3) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara keluarga harmonis dan motivasi belajar tinggi secara simultan dengan hasil belajar IPA (F<sub>hitung = </sub>1986,354 &gt; F<sub>tabel</sub> = 3,023, r<sub>hitung </sub>= 0,961 &gt; r<sub>tabel</sub>= 0,108) dengan sumbangan sebesar 92,4%. Hasil sumbangan yang besar menurut peneliti karena merupakan penelitian parsial yang terfokus pada tiga variabel. Berdasarkan analisis dan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara keluarga harmonis dan motivasi belajar tinggi terhadap hasil belajar IPA kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021 secara bersama-sama maupun terpisah.</p>

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan asesmen kinerja dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan dua siklus. Data keterampilan proses sains dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument lembar observasi, sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument tes dengan 20 item soal. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran juga diukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan (RPP). Data penelitianian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) keterlaksanaan RPP pada siklus I mencapai 68% dengan kategori baik, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai 100% dengan kategori sangat baik; (2) keterampilan proses sains pada siklus I mencapai 55% dengan kategori cukup tinggi, dan pada siklus II mencapai 75% dengan kategori tinggi; dan (3) skor rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada siklus I mencapai 66 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 40%, sedangkan siklus II mencapai 77 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 90%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan asesmen kinerja dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada kelas VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. The Implementation of Performance Assessment in Biology Practicum Activities to Improve Students' Science Process Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of performance assessment in improving science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of seventh grade students of MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. The subjects of this study were 20 grade VII students of MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) using two cycles. Science process skills data were collected using an observation sheet instrument, while students' cognitive learning outcomes were collected using a test instrument with 20 items of questions. The implementation of learning was also measured in this study using the implementation observation sheet (RPP). The researcch data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed (1) the implementation of the lesson plans in the first cycle reached 68% in the good category, while in the second cycle it reached 100% in the very good category; (2) science process skills in the first cycle reached 55% in the fairly high category, and in the second cycle it reached 75% in the high category; and (3) the average score of students' cognitive learning outcomes in the first cycle reached 66 with classical completeness of 40%, while the second cycle reached 77 with classical completeness of 90%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of performance assessments can improve science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students in class VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek.

Motivation is something that comes from within an individual that can influence individual activities to achieve goals in his life. Learning motivation influences learning objectives and impacts on learning outcomes. This journal aims to find out whether learning motivation influences students' natural science learning outcomes in Makassar Unismuh Middle School. The number of students in this study was 50 people. Data retrieval is done through learning motivation questionnaires and science learning outcomes tests. This study uses SPSS 24 to calculate the relationship or correlation between motivation and learning outcomes. This study resulted in a very significant relationship between motivation to learn and learning outcomes.Keywords: Learning Motivation, Learning OutcomesMotivasi adalah sesuatu yang berasal dari dalam diri individu yang dapat mempengaruhi kegiatan individu guna mencapai tujuan dalam hidupnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh media video terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA, (2) pengaruh media video terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA, (3) pengaruh media video terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar kognitif peserts didik pada pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. .Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V se gugus 04 Palangka Raya. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala motivasi dan tes.
