Language is used to convey messages and thoughts to the other person. Indonesian is used as a national language as well as a unifying language. In accordance with the mandate of Article 36 of the 1945 Constitution, "State Language is Indonesian". In addition, the position of Indonesian as a National Language was made on October 28, 1928 on the day of the "Youth Oath" which had functions as: a symbol of national identity, a symbol of nationality, communication tools and a unifying tool of different tribes; religion; race; customs and culture. In the current era of globalization, we must master languages other than Indonesian to communicate with other nations, and support our language skills in learning. But we must be able to preserve Indonesian as our primary language, a language that must be used frequently in relationships. Not infrequently foreign languages are more favored than using our own language. Most teenagers are even more proud of using foreign languages fluently. In the use of a foreign language, it certainly has an influence on the existence of Indonesian language, besides that, the quality of learning that exists in Indonesia. Each influence will certainly produce positive and negative impacts.

AbstractHumans are social beings. As social beings interacting is something that is needed in the life of life. Of course interacting requires language to convey messages and thoughts to the other person. In Indonesia there are many regional tribes so that there are also various languages that Indonesia has. This makes Indonesian language a national language as well as a unifying language, a symbol of national pride, communication tools and a unifying tool of the nation that is different in ethnicity, religion, race, customs and culture. However, it can be seen that the phenomenon of Indonesian language in the community is fading with the times, especially among students. The fading of Indonesian language is due to habituation from a young age using a foreign language, so that sometimes they are not aware of this national language. Seeing the phenomenon happen makes me motivated to discuss the problem. Researchers are interested in describing "The Use of Foreign Languages Against Indonesian Language Among Students" so that the expectations of researchers with this article readers especially students are able to maintain Indonesian as a national language in accordance with the mandate of the UUD 1945.

Recent years, most universities and colleges have been reforming the English as a foreign language (EFL) curriculum system in China. Some reformed EFL curriculum into English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses, for instance, while some conducted a graded teaching model in EFL teaching. However, the effect of this reform was not so good, especially at science and technology institutes. Therefore, in view of different opinions to classification of foreign language teaching, the classification scheme of English teaching was improved and rebuilt at first, based on the analysis of the learners’ feedback from the perspective of learner’s needs on the current EFL curriculum system of China’s science and technology institutes under graded teaching model. And then a new EFL curriculum system of China’s science and technology institutes under graded teaching model was designed based on learning-centered approach to course and curriculum design to promote the development of EFL teaching and China’s ESP courses and accordingly meet nation’s needs for cultivating international and integrated high-quality talents of foreign languages.

As users of bahasa, Indonesian people should be proud to use bahasa as a communication tool. However, from the various facts that occur, this is not the case. The pride in bahasa has not been embedded in every Indonesian. Respect for foreign languages is still visible in some Indonesian communities, because they assume that foreign languages are higher in degree than bahasa. In fact they seemed to feel unwilling to know the development of bahasa. In this era of globalization, bahasa identity needs to be fostered and socialized by every Indonesian citizen. This is necessary so that the Indonesian people are not carried away by foreign cultural influences that are clearly inappropriate and do not even match Indonesian language and culture. Therefore, the Indonesian people must be able to distinguish between positive influences and negative influences on the development of Indonesian. The purpose of this article is to find out the impact of foreign language influence on bahasa in the era of globalization as an opportunity and threat.

The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is progressing very rapidly. Due to the strong era of globalization where computers and the dynamic internet become facilities that have dominated various life activities, so educational activities also require the availability of these facilities. Google Translate becomes one of the translation machines that can be used by academics in translating literature written in foreign languages. Google Translate is one of the media that can make it easier for someone to translate text from various languages into the desired language. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative approach with this literature study method aimed at describing the process of translating foreign language texts and pronunciation into appropriate Indonesian. The media can be used to translate text, both by word, phrase, clause, sentence, and even discourse. However, it is often found errors and irregularities in the translation of the entered text. The results of this study are that academics are greatly helped by the existence of the Google Translate application as a learning medium. Despite the lack of this application, learning academics still have a positive perception of their use. They believe that the results of the translation will remain accurate as long as they can match the context.
