The research aims at improving EFL students’ vocabulary through Alphabetical Cards. The subject of this classroom action research was 40 students. The research was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data of this research were obtained from the results of the test and observation sheet, questionnaire, field notes, during the implementation of the action. The findings of the research showed that Alphabetical Cards was effective in improving EFL students’ vocabulary. The effectiveness of Alphabetical Cards was shown by the improvement of students’ score. The findings revealed that in cycle 1 there were 18 students who achieved minimum criteria of achievement. It means that the classical achievement was 45%. In cycle 2, it showed that there were 36 of 40 students who achieved the minimum criteria of achievement. It means that the gain achievement was 90%. Gain achievement is based on the number of students who get the score at least the criteria of success (70). Both of the gained and individual achievements have met the criteria of success. It can be concluded that the alphabetical cards is very effective to improve the students’ vocabulary.

The paper aims at explaining how primary pupils are taught vocabulary through Alphabet Cards. The subject of this classroom action research was 20 pupils. The research was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data of this research were obtained from the results of the test and observation sheet, questionnaire, field notes, during the implementation of the action. The findings of the research showed that Alphabet Cards was effective in developing primary pupils’ vocabulary. The effectiveness of Alphabet Cards was shown by the improvement of pupils’ score. The findings revealed that in cycle 1 there were 12 pupils who achieved minimum criteria of achievement. It means that the classical achievement was 60%. In cycle 2, it showed that there were 17 of 20 pupils who achieved the minimum criteria of achievement. It means that the gain achievement was 85%. Gain achievement is based on the number of pupils who get the score at least the criteria of success (70). Both of the gained and individual achievements have met the criteria of success. It can be concluded that the Alphabet cards is very effective to develop the pupils’ vocabulary.

ABSTRACT The research aims at utilizing cooperative learning in teaching reading skill for Islamic college students. The research was classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject were taken from PAI 5 which contained 30 students. The data of this research were obtained from the test, observation checklist, and field notes. The findings of research showed that cooperative learning was effective in developing students’ reading skill. The findings revealed that there were nineteen students who achieved the minimum criteria of achievement in cycle 1, which percentage was 63.3%. In cycle 2, it was found that there were twenty five students who achieved the minimum criteria of achievement, which percentage increased to 83.3%. Both of the classical and individual achievements have met the criteria of success. Besides, students were active in joining classroom activities and completing their classroom tasks. Therefore, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning was effective to develop the students’ reading skill. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan pembelajaran kooperatif dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian diambil dari kelas PAI 5 yang terdiri dari 30 mahasiswa. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil tes, lembar observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan membaca mahasiswa. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ada sembilan belas mahasiswa yang mencapai kriteria pencapaian minimal pada siklus 1, dengan persentase 63,3%. Pada siklus 2, ditemukan bahwa ada dua puluh lima mahasiswa yang mencapai kriteria pencapaian minimum dengan persentase 83,3%. Persentase klasik dan individual telah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan. Selain itu, mahasiswa aktif mengikuti kegiatan kelas dan menyelesaikan tugas kelas mereka. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan membaca mahasiswa. How to Cite: Marzuki, A., G. (2016). This research was about the use of team product to improve students’ creativity in writing at SMKN 2 Lingsar in academic year 2018/2019. This research used Classroom Action Research. The data in this research was taken from the mean scores of students’ achievement and the score percentages. The subject of this research was X grade students of SMKN 2 Lingsar, which consisted of 19 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The instruments of this research were test, questionnaire, and observation sheet. The mean score of students’ creativity in writing in the first cycle was 52 with percentage (40%) of the students still low creativity than the researcher done the second cycle. The mean score and percentage of students’ achievements was higher than criteria of success (70). The result indicated the mean score of the students’ creativity in writing was 77, 1 with percentage (84, 21%) for students who passed the minimum criteria of success (KKM). It was indicated that the use of team product method can improve students’ creativity in writing.

This research aims at enhancing EFL students’ speaking skill through the use of language games. The research was designed in the form of Classroom Action Research. It was conducted in two cycles and six meetings. Each cycle consisted of plan, implementation, observation, and Reflection. The researchers employed an observation checklist, field notes, questionnaire, and test to collect the data. The main criterion of success of this research was that the students’ scores on the speaking test should achieve a score of 70, and it must be achieved by 75% of the total number of students. The second criterion was that the lecturer’s classroom performance should meet the “Success” category. The results of the first speaking test showed that from 24 students in the classroom, 15 students got scores of 70 or higher. It was equal to 62.5 %. In cycle 2, the total number of students who got scores of 70 or higher was 21. It was equal to 87.5 %. The result of this research indicated that the use of language games can develop the students’ speaking skills

The background of this research was the poor ability of writing Javanese Alphabet in Javanese Language subject of the fourth grade students in SD N 1 Alasmalang. The purpose of this research was improving the ability of writing Javanese Alphabet through cooperative learning model of round table type using flashcard media. This classroom action research was conducted in two phases, which were cycle I and cycle II that included twice meetings in each cycle. The subject of this research were 20 students of  the fourth grade students in SD N 1 Alasmalang  in academic year 2018/2019, which consisted 11 males and 9 females. The instruments used were test and non-test. The classroom action research that was proposed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart involved planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The observation result in the learning process of cycle I and cycle II showed that the students’ ability of writing Javanese Alphabet was improved. The result of the cycle 1 achieved 59,5% with enough criteria and  the cycle II was improved into 80% with good criteria. The students’ ability of writing Javanese Alphabet had achieved the indicator of success that was determined with good criteria at least 75% from the minimum criteria of mastery learning (KKM), which was 70. From the findings, it can be concluded that Round Table using flashcard media was able to improve the ability of writing Javanese alphabhet.

For EFL students especially the students of English Letters Department at Pamulang University, mastering English is something challenging. There are several problems which they face in learning English. One of the most crucial problems is pronunciation. Hence, appropriate teaching methods such as using phonetic transcription are needed to help the students to improve their pronunciation. This research focused on using phonetic transcription to improve the pronunciation skills of the fourth semester students of English Letters Department of Pamulang University. It was aimed to reveal if the utilization of phonetic transcription was able to improve the students’ pronunciation. It was also aimed to figure out how phonetic transcription improved the students’ pronunciation. This research implemented Classroom Action Research which was carried out from February until April 2020. There were two cycles in this research and each cycle consisted of three meetings. In collecting the data, the writers used field notes, interviews and tests. The average of the students’ score in the pre-cycle and cycle 1 were 59,86 and 66,07 which were still lower  than 75 as the target. In the cycle 2, the average of the students’ score was 75,56 which was higher than 75. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that phonetic transcription was able to improve the students’ pronunciation. Phonetic transcription had role in improving both segmental and supra segmental features of the students’ pronunciation.

Discuss about the area where I live, based on the results of observations done in class IV SD Swasta Budi Murni 2 it was found some problems, they were: has not implement the varian model thus the learning is concerned on that teacher that make students fat unmotivated to study got bored. The problem to the result of students learning. Thus it needs to conduct a classroom action research. Classroom action research consists of four steps namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection which conducted into two cycle with one meeting in every cycle. The subject of this research in students of SD Swasta Budi Murni 2 Class IV in the academic year 2018/2019 with the number of the students are 48. The technique of collecting date use lest and observation.The results of the observation skills of teachers cycle I gained an average percentage score of 70.91% with good criteria. Cycle II obtained the average percentage score 86% with good criteria as well. The data showed an increase in the skills of teachers. The results of the observation activities of students cycle I gained an average of 68 with sufficient criteria. In cycle II, increased with the acquisition of a score of 88 with good criteria. Thoroughly of classical results on prates by 29.17% with an average of 67.5 class, on cycle I Thoroughly of classical learning of 47.91% with an average 73.43 class, and in cycle II Thoroughly of classical learning of 95.83% with an average of 95.45 class. The data showed an increase in student learning results.

The problem in this research was: (1) low of creativity in 5-6-year-old children in TK Sandhy Putra Medan, (2) education system that focuses more on academic ability such as reading, writing and counting, (3) lack of facilities that can develop the creativity of children, (4) Children are less motivated by teachers in developing their creativity. This research aims to determine the creativity development of 5-6-year-old children by using the exploration game “sand play" in TK Sandhy Putra Medan. This type of research was classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, whereby each cycle is performed 2 times a meeting. In each cycle is done through 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection tools used are observations. The subject of this study was 5-6-year-old children in TK Sandhy Putra Medan, a total of 20 children consisting of 11 daughters and 9 boys. While the object of this research is developing the creativity skills of children aged 5-6 years in the TK Sandhy Putra Medan. The instrument in this research is the observation sheet for the development of children's creativity with the following indicators: great curiosity, high originality, imaginative, diligent and not easily bored learning, dare to take risks, and full of initiation.

This study aims to determine the improvement of listening ability in grade V students in Lengkong State Elementary School using audio media. The type of research used is a case study with Classroom Action Research (collaborative Classroom Action). The form of collaborative classroom action research with colleagues as observers. The subject of this research is the students of grade V of State Elementary School Lengkong which amounted to 18 people. The object of this research is the ability to listen to folklore. The research design used was Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. Data collection methods used in this study are: 1) test, 2) observation, and 3) field notes. Data analysis technique is done descriptively qualitative. The results showed that learning to listen to folklore using audio media can improve the ability of listening to folklore. Based on the results of the pretest cycle 1 students on average get the score of listening ability to students in the first cycle, the students get an average score of 50, then on cycle II score The average class increased to 87.5, this shows there is an increase in listening ability in grade V students on the material Responding to events that occur around orally.
