Covid-19 illness is a pandemic infectious disease caused by a new coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China. Nepal being a landlocked underdeveloped country is particularly vulnerable to the pandemic. Similarly, the dread of contracting the coronavirus is making people concerned about a global pandemic. It is vital to determine the impact of viral outbursts on mental health. Hence, this study aims to identify level of depression, stress and anxiety during lockdown among Nepalese residents. Cross-section web-based research design was undertaken at Bagmati province, Gandaki province and Lumbini province with four hundred twenty-two (n=422) (n=422) Nepalese residents by using a multistage proportionate stratified random sampling method. The Dass-21 tool was used to assess level of depression, stress and anxiety. Among 422 respondents only 5.9% had extremely severe level of anxiety, whereas 14.5% were moderately depressed, 77.5% did not have any stress during lockdown. There was statistically significant difference between depression and age (p=0.016), depression and sex (p=0.023). Also, there was a significant difference between stress and age (p=0.023), sex (p=0.0263) and education level (p=0.049).It is concluded that more than two-third of the respondentsere found to be in normal ranges for depression, stress and anxiety. Less than one-fourth of respondents had moderate to severe level of anxiety and depression.

The aim of this paper is to analyse the impact of working environment on job satisfaction of port trusts employees. A well structured interview schedule was used to collect the primary data and proportionate random sampling method was used to select the respondents. The study found that there is a significant difference between the satisfaction of employees of V.O.C. and Chennai port trusts with regard to working environment. The present study seeks to investigate the level of adjustment and social support of college going adolescents. Sample included 120 (simple random sampling method) randomly selected adolescents i.e. 60 boys and 60 girls college students from various pre-university colleges of Kalaburgi district of Hyderabad Karnataka. For obtaining the data on social support and adjustment, social support scale developed by Vaxu (1986), and adjustment inventory was developed by Sinha and Singh (1984) were used respectively. The statistical technique t-test and spearman rho coefficient of correlation was employed for comparing the two groups. The findings of the study showed that there exists significant difference in adjustment and social support between boys and girls. Whereas there exists no significant difference in respect to domicile between adjustment and social support. It also concludes that there exists positive and significant difference between adjustment and social support.

The Karkas mountainous region is a very interesting area for its big game wildlife and rare species in the Irano-Touranian biogeographic region. It is essential to study the plant communities and the impact of environmental factors, to protect and rehabilitate these ecosystems. The studied region is located in the Isfahan province, central Iran, with the area of about 92 100 ha. The aim of the study was to identify the plant communities of the Karkas Hunting-Prohibited Region. Vegetation cover was sampled using a stratified random sampling method and the entities were preliminarily segmented with the physiognomic-floristic-ecologic method. 10 × 10 m quadrates (100 m<sup>2</sup>) were used to estimate the species cover, litter, stone, gravel and bare soil percentages. Plant communities were classified using cluster analyses and denderogram construction. The results confirmed the importance of the climatic and topographic factors that affect the establishment of the plant communities. Plant habitats in the region are mosaics and cause ecoton formations, so diversities in species combinations increase. The species diversity of the communities was measured using the Shannon coefficient; it varied from 2.26 to 0.39. According to cluster analyses, there are 15 different plant communities, but when the second dominant species were considered, some communities were further divided into sub-communities.

Gadget are phones that have capabilities such as computers, usually have large screens and the operating system is capable of carrying out common applications. Throughout the world there are 76.9 billion gadget usage and will continue to increase. The impact of the use of gadget can have an adverse impact on adolescents, it is known that the mass media or in this case the internet has a big impact on behavior change, such as playing games, watching porn videos and having unlimited relationships with girlfriends. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the use of gadgets with the learning achievement of students of SMAN 2 Tembilahan in 2018. This research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all students of class XI and XII, with the sampling method carried out in proportionate stratified random sampling, as many as 117 samples, carried out on 28 Agustus 2018. The results of this study that use the majority of gadgets have a majority of unfavorable learning achievement as many as 41 people (56.2%) and the negative using the majority gadget also has a bad learning achievement of 52 people (71.2%). It is hoped that this research will be used as a reference for schools on the impact of gadget use, so that this research can later be used by students to improve learning achievement, and can provide additional information for further researchers by replacing or adding existing variables related to the description of gadget usage, learning in adolescents.

The present study aims to study depression and death anxiety among long route and short route truck drivers. The sample size (n=60) truck drivers 30 short-route drivers and 30 long route drivers were selected using random sampling technique. The data was collected using Thakur Death- Anxiety Scale and Beck Depression Inventory. Results shows that significant difference exist on measures of depression and death anxiety scales among long and short route truck drivers. Significant difference was found among death anxiety and depression of short route drivers and long route drivers and all truck drivers. High Pearson correlation was found among death anxiety and depression among truck drivers.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many hotels, restaurants and tourism activities to be temporarily closed. It has an impact on the financial performance towards the companies engaged in this sub-sector. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of Covid 19 towards the financial performance of companies engaged in the sub-sector of hotel, restaurant and tourism. Financial performance is measured using several ratios, namely liquidity ratios, solvability ratios, profitability ratios and market ratio. The ype of research is descriptive quantitave. The population in this study is 35 all companies in the sub-sector of hotel, restaurant and tourism listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2020 period. Samples are collected from 30 companies using purposive sampling method. Hypothesis testing is conducted using the Paired Sample t-Test. The empirical results show that, in the liquidity ratio, and market ratio there is no significant difference between the periods of before and after the first recorded Covid-19 case in Indonesia. Meanwhile, in the solvability ratio and profitability ratio, there are significant differences between the two periods.


Work motivation has been identified as an influential variable associated with turnover intention. However, only a few studies have examined its prediction on turnover intention. This study discussed the influences of work motivational factors (compensation, nature of job and interpersonal relationship) on turnover intention among Gen Y employees. The sampling method used in this study was stratified random sampling and the sample size was 108 employees in the manufacturing company. The results indicated that the level of work motivation among Gen Y employees is moderate, while the level of turnover intention is high. The result also shows that there is no significant difference of work motivation based on gender among Gen Y employees. The multiple regression results indicated that the three factors of work motivation such as interpersonal, compensation, and nature of the job did not have significant influence on turnover intentions of Gen Y employees. This research concludes with the recommendations for the employees and future works for researcher.


The global pandemic raised several social and economic challenges worldwide. Executing lockdown and closure of educational institutions became only options to mitigate these challenges, leading to educational barriers for billions of students worldwide. In such a situation, the acceptance, adoption and integration of ICT informally supported the learning process. However, policymakers, instructors and critics anticipated adverse consequences due to a fast shift from conventional to eLearning system. In this regard, the current research scrutinized the intervening role of gender in eLearning acceptance during Covid-19 outbreak. Additionally, this study also examines the impact of eLearning acceptance on students’ academic performance under Media System Dependency Theory. Data was gathered from n= 300 participants currently enrolled in n= 3 public sector universities in Islamabad, Pakistan. Results from quantitative data analysis indicated moderately significant gender differences concerning eLearning acceptance during the Covid-19. Similarly, findings also revealed a significant positive correlation between female students and conventional learning, male students and eLearning acceptance. Here the inferential statistics also highlighted the positive impacts of eLearning on students’ academic performance during Covid-19. The study concludes that gender is moderately hindering eLearning acceptance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Even though eLearning positively influences educational performance, stakeholders need to reconsider the current policies and ensure web-based as equally acceptable for all.


The Current study is concerned with “a study on effectiveness of training and development in its solutions (chennai)” in this study where the effectiveness of the employee are measured and studied. In this study the where 110 employees are taken out of 195 employees using random sampling method. Where the set of questions are given to the employees to get there feedback about the changes after the training. The organization provides various kind of training to the employee. In this study we are testing the effectiveness of the employee after the training and development3 . Where the 110 questions are distributed to employees and answers are collected for findings, suggestions and conclusions. The answers given by the respondents are analysed using chi-square and percentage method. After the finding where concluded that the objectives of this study and conclusions found in this study meets same point. Where the objective of this study is get satisfied. Abstract Aim The study aim is to determine the impact of the brachioradialis release during the open reduction and internal fixation of distal radius fractures using a volar approach Method Total of 40 patients was treated with Open reduction and internal fixation of intra articular distal radius fractures. Distal release of Brachioradialis was performed to 19 patients, while 21 patients had no release of BR during surgery. Radiological parameters including Radial height, Inclination and volar tilt were measured 1 month post-operatively, while functional outcomes assessed with modified mayo wrist scores and Quick-dash scores Results There is no significant difference between age, gender and pre-operative conditions indicating that both the groups (BR release and without BR release) have similar demographic characteristics. Pre-operatively both groups had disturbed values for radial height, inclination, and volar tilt. Postoperatively, the mean of both groups was closer to normal ranges for radial inclination and volar tilt; however, radial height was the least adequately restored radiological parameter for both study group (11.54 ± 1.35 for BR group versus 10.21 ± 2.29 for Non-BR group). Pain, functional status, and grip strength had similar values in both groups whereas BR group showed higher ROM and DASH scores with P values of 0.048 and 0.025 respectively. Conclusions Brachioradialis release enhances the reduction and operative fixation, restoring the necessary radiological and subsequent functional parameters in distal radius fractures with reported no complications.
