To discover the characteristics of the Praise Psalm used qualitative rather than experimental research methods. This qualitative method can also be used for reflective speculators. With four steps: analyzing the passage according to its elements, the second step is to recognize the language style of poetry and stories that are historical, the third reveals the original meaning of Hebrew poetry, the fourth looks for the characteristics of the Hebrew satra of the author's motives and goals. So that preserved by this method can be formulated characteristics from the Psalm of Praise. There are three important things to remember in the Psalm of praise is, first the Psalm of praise begins with an invitation to worship The Lord, The second psalm of praise continues by giving a description of the reasons why God is worthy of praise. Third is the psalm praise usually includes and sometimes ends with a further invitation to praise God therefore the proper title is the characteristics Psalm of Praise so that the awkwardness of distinguishing the interpretation of different types of psalm can be well cleared.

Background: Increased intakes of ready-made and fast foods paralleled with decreased homemade food consumption have been associated with increased rates of obesity. Researchers have shown associations between cooking self-efficacy (SE) and cooking frequency (CF) with dietary quality and weight status. Some cooking interventions have shown positive associations with dietary outcomes, such as increased fruit and vegetable intake and decreased fast food consumption. There is still much unknown about SE and CF, especially among youth. Objective: Determine baseline SE and CF and the associations with dietary quality and body mass index (BMI) of youth enrolled in iCook 4H. Methods: Youth (n = 228, ages 9-10 years) completed online surveys assessing SE, CF, dietary quality, and demographics. Anthropometrics were collected to calculate BMI-for-age percentiles and weight categories. Descriptive statistics were completed for CF, SE, BMI categories, and demographics. Differences in CF and SE by sex, race, and participation in government assistance programs were determined through independent-sample t tests. Pearson correlations were used to assess the association between dietary quality and CF and SE. Associations between CF and dietary quality were assessed further through 2-way analyses of variance (ANOVAs) that included CF and sex and CF and race as independent variables. Associations between SE and CF and BMI were assessed through ANOVAs. Results: Thirty-seven percent of youth were overweight or obese. Females reported significantly higher CF than males ( P = .042). Cooking frequency was positively associated with dietary quality ( P < .001), but BMI was not associated with dietary quality. SE was not associated with dietary quality or BMI. Conclusion: Based on results, CF was positively associated with dietary quality among youth. More research is needed to assess how different types of cooking relate to diet and BMI. Interventions are needed to determine whether increasing CF leads to better diet outcomes.

This study aimed at exploring the impoliteness strategies in governor election debate 2017. The objectives of the study were to describe, to explain how types of impoliteness strategies used and to expose the reasons. This research applied descriptive qualitative method. The data were the utterances of the governor candidates in two different debate sessions which were analyzed by using Culpeper Impoliteness Theory. The findings revealed that there were three out of five impoliteness strategies found in both debates, namely bald on record impoliteness, positive impoliteness and negative impoliteness. The governor candidates used the bald on record in three realizations, positive impoliteness in seven realizations and negative impoliteness in three realizations. There are some reasons of using the impoliteness strategies, namely to vent negative feelings, to mock others, to show disagreement, to show power, and to clarify something. However, the main reason to use the impoliteness strategies was to show power. Moreover, it is also revealed that both two different types of impoliteness strategies and two different realizations were used at the same moment. Keywords: election debate, governor candidates, impoliteness strategies

This study presents students’ conceptions about the consequences and significance of the French Revolution. The data were collected from Swiss ninth graders (15 to 16 years old; N=22) by means of group discussions and problem-centred interviews. The data were evaluated using a reconstructive qualitative method. The students’ historical thinking is dominated by a belief in progress and paramount presentism. The adolescents feel entangled in the history of the French Revolution, it has a symbolic and present-future significance (Cercadillo). Thus, they construct historical significance in an exemplary way (Rüsen). These explanatory patterns are anchored in the everyday conceptions of the students and not in an academic understanding of history. Therefore, teachers should cognitively model learners’ thinking by showing how historians narrate and construct the historical significance of the French Revolution, by making this second-order concept explicit and by giving them the opportunity to explore different types of narrative (Rüsen).

The present study attempts to examine verbal/nonverbal impoliteness in the classroom interaction and outside it in one of the movies, namely, The Marva Collins. Impoliteness, which is significantly studied within pragmatics, is a negative attitude towards particular behaviors. It always presumes to have emotional concerns for at least one participant who has caused it. This study is an attempt to examine verbal/nonverbal impoliteness in The Marva Collins movie. The study aims to investigate the different types of impoliteness strategies used in the four selected scenes and find out whether the speaker’s status has anything to do with the types of impoliteness. Besides, the functions performed are also examined by following a qualitative method of research. To achieve the aim of the study, the researchers adopt Culpeper’s model of impoliteness (1996, 2005). The study has concluded that positive impoliteness is the most dominant type of impoliteness, followed by withholding politeness. Moreover, the characters in The Marva Collins mostly employ affective impoliteness rather than the other functions of impoliteness. It is indicated to let the speaker imply the duty of the hearer to produce a negative emotional state. As a final point, Culpeper is the workable model used in analysing the data of this study.

To be interested about the teacher's action necessarily requires the analysis of his speech, his ways of doing things, his postures... This article examines the non-verbal aspect of this action, namely the teaching gesture in that it contributes to access to meaning in a foreign language. Our approach is comprehensive and ethnographic, using mainly the qualitative method, but also relying, incidentally, on quantitative data in order to highlight the frequency and intra-individual variation of the co-verbal gestuality used by the teacher in primary school. The data was collected by non-participant observation and filmed recording of the sessions of the same teacher in two classes of different institutional levels, and the gestures were classified according to the model of Mc Neill (1992) regarding their type and that of M. Tellier (2006, 2008) for their function. The results reveal that the teacher’s gestuality is a personal construction, a varied use of the different types of gestures and that what make the difference between the two levels are both the form and the recurrence of the gestures adopted. Given the scarcity of work in the Algerian context, this study is a contribution to analysis of the teacher’s pedagogical gesture in the French classroom in interaction with his learners in order to make this modality profitable and to take it into account in the formation of trainers. Keywords: Co-verbal gesture, gestural rate, institutional level, teachers’ action
