This research is based on the problem faced by the students such as: difficulty inunderstanding the generic structures of descriptive text and the difficulties in developingparagraph. The purpose of this research was to improve the students’ writing skill by usingNeuro Linguistics Programming (NLP) strategy at VIII grade of SMPN 11 Mandau Duri. Theresearch design was Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisted of two cycles. The datawere collected by using test, field note, observation sheet, and interview. Then, the datacollected were analyzed by using scoring rubric of writing descriptive text. The result showedthat students’ ability in writing descriptive text could be improved. It could be seen frombased score of students writing skill was 38 (failed) improve to 51 (failed) in cycle 1 to 70(Pass) in cycle II. It was caused by some factors, those were the teacher gave motivation,created enjoyfull experience, comfortable class and used various media. In conclusion, theuse of NLP strategy has many beneficial.

The present Classroom Action Research (CAR) initiated when the researcher found the students at the eighth-grade students of SMP Juara Pekanbaru had low writing skills. This problem could be identified from their base scores below the standard minimum score (GPA). It was 64,06. The purpose of this research was to try to develop the students’ writing skill and to know the factors that influenced the changing of students’ writing skill. This research was conducted from March up to May 2019 in two cycles consisted of ten meetings. The participants of this research were 27 students of the Andalusia class. In improving the students’ writing skill, a narrative text was used as a learning media. The instruments used in this research were writing test, interview, field note and also observation list to help understand the phenomenon. This research showed that the students got the score 72,22 in cycle 1 dan 84,49 in cycle 2, especially on organization with an increase of 4,47. It could be seen that scrambled pictures media could improve the students’ writing skill.

This research was based on the students’ problems in writing descriptive text, especially in terms of organizing the generic structure, determining adjective to describe people or things, and mastering vocabulary. The purposes of this research were to improve the students’ writing skill in descriptive text and to find out the factors influencing the students’ improvement through Attribute Chart strategy at grade 7.2 of SMPIT Al Birru Pekanbaru. The design of this research was Classroom Action Research. The instruments used were the writing test, observation checklist, field note, and interview. The participants involved  in this research were the students at grade 7.2 which was consisted of 16 students. The result showed that the students base score was 51.8,  and the score in cycle 1 was 70.4. It means the students’ score was improved in cycle 1. Furthermore this improvement was influenced by 4 factors. These factors were obtained based on the result of field note. Moreover, the results of field note were: students’ motivation, students’ interest, students’ exciting with the new topic, and the students’ activeness in the learning process. In conclusion, the use of Attribute Chart strategy in writing descriptive text can improve students’ writing skill at 7.2 grade of SMPIT Al Birru Pekanbaru.

The focus of this article is on the analysis of student’s writing before and after the implementation of Read-to-Write Approach. Read-to-write approach is one of strategies of how to write by reading the articles what other writers have written. This study aimed to find out how the students’ writing skill can be improved through the implementation of read-to-write approach. This research used the instruments of writing tests including pre-test and post-test. The finding showed that students’ writing skill could be improved through the implementation of read-to-write approach during one cycle classroom action research which consisted of four meetings. Actually, this article searched deeply to find out how the differences between the writing results of the student after and before the implementation of read-to-write approach. The analysis was conducted by using analytic scoring rubric. This research investigated the students’ writing skill on Recount Text at Session 2016 A English Department of STKIP PGRI West Sumatera. Some of them had difficulties in organization, content, grammar, mechanic, and vocabulary. Then, they really need lecturers’ guidance in every step of their writing process. Therefore, the independent writing should be applied in each part of their writing process. As consequence, the researcher applied Diary Writing as the focus of research to solve this problem. The purpose was to find whether Diary Writing can improve students’ writing skill on Recount Text. The method of research is a classroom action research (CAR).  This research was conducted in one cycle, which has six meetings. Researcher used writing test, observation checklist, and field note, as the instruments. The findings of the research showed that the students’ writing skill of Recount Text improved through Diary Writing. The implications related to this research, the lecturers are suggested to use Diary Writing to help students to be independent and creative writer and for the next researcher to use Diary Writing in others kinds of texts.

The objective of this study is to know whether the use of flashcards can improve the vocabulary mastery of Junior High School Students in Indonesian. The research design used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in which it was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research instruments used are observation checklist, test, field note, and documentation. In the implementation of improving students’ vocabulary mastery by using flashcards the researchers stimulated students’ prior knowledge by asking question, introduction the topic, and introduction about the media.The implementation of the planning in the first cycle was not successful. In the second cycle, the result of the students’ evaluation test showed that 84% of the student passed the minimum score in the criteria of success, and 80% of the students did the activities designed in the second cycle. From the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of flashcards is successful in improving the students’ vocabulary mastery.Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Vocabulary, flashcard

This research is based on the students� problems in writing argumentative essay, especially in developing and organizing ideas, using good grammar and diction, and applying correct writing mechanics, such as the use of capital letter, spelling, and punctuation. The purpose of this research is to solve the students� problems in writing argumentative essay through collaborative writing strategy. The design employed in this research was classroom action research. The participants involved in this research were 23 students of English Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lancang Kuning Pekanbaru, Indonesia. The instruments used in this research were writing test, field note, observation checklist, and interview. Based on the result of the test, the students� score had reached the criteria of success set, and it was significantly improved from the result before the research conducted. The mean score of the mid-term test was 54.9, and the mean score of the cycle test was 74.3. In addition, based on the data gained from the field note, observation checklist, and interview, it was found that the students were active, creative, and enjoy the learning process. In conclusion, the use of collaborative writing strategy can solve the students� problems in writing argumentative essay as well.Keywords: writing skill; writing aspects; argumentative essay; collaborative writing strategy; �classroom action research.

This research was held during the internship at SMPK BPK PENABUR Cimahi by taking the material taught in English lesson for 8th grade students at first semester. The objective of this research is to find out the improvement of writing imperative sentence using Project-Based Learning approach. The use of Project Based Learning approach suited with the Kurikulum 2013, which has been used by this school since 2013. The method used Classroom Action Research (CAR), which held on two cycles for seven meetings. Each cycle covered the step of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data was collected from test and observation. The data from test showed that treatments are successful in improving writing imperative sentences skill for the students. The improvements covered two points, (1) improvement on their mean score. Mean score of pre-test was 54.967, mean score of post-test1was 64.467 and mean score of post-test2 was 80.033. (2) Improvement of their behaviors. Their activeness individually and participation in the group indicated that the Project Based Learning approach was the right approach to be applied in the classroom teaching. Keywords:  CAR, Project-Based Learning Approach, Writing Skill

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dua siklus yang terdiri dari: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa pembelajaran akidah akhlak dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa untuk setiap indikator yang diteliti. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa yang dimaksud adalah terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Siswa aktif merespon pertanyaan guru, mengemukakan alasan, menjelaskan kepada teman, mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok dan membuat kesimpulan Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Akidah Akhlak Abstract [Tittle: Improving Student’ Activity In Akidah Akhlak Course Through Problem Based Learning Approach]. This research was aimed to improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak through Problem Based Learning (PBL)at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi city.This was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was the third year students of MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi that consisted of 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet and field note. The data then was analyzed descriptively.The result of the research showed that the use of PBL approach could improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. After applying PBL approach, the students had a willingness to answer teacher’s questions, give opinions and plain them to the peers, present the result of the discussion and take conclusion. This classroom action research aims to improve students' writing skill of class X4 SMA Negeri 3 Bulukumba. The subjects of the study were the students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Bulukumba as much as 42 people. The object of research is the technique of direct object and peer editing, as well as the skill of writing the description. The action is done in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation / evaluation, and reflection. The research data is the data writing skill descriptions collected through the guidelines of writing descriptions and observation skills. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitative. The result of research shows that firstly, the process of learning with direct object technique that can improve the writing skill of descriptive paragraph of X-4 students of SMA Negeri 3 Bulukumba is by applying direct object technique in cycle I through planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection phase. In the first cycle of learning to write a descriptive paragraph is considered less than the maximum so that learning is continued into cycle II by designing the learning using direct object engineering and peer editing techniques. Second, the learning result of descriptive paragraph writing skill with direct object and peer editing technique has increased the average score of students who in cycle I only 81.3 increased to 88.1. In addition, there is also a significant change in attitude in students.

Abstract-This research related to the development of the potential of ecopreneurship students through project-based learning. The purposeof this research is caused by unrest demonstrated by students either in the process of learning which is very flat as well as assessment of the student's active role in the learning or suggested the practice as a form of character development. Researchers take a character-based entrepreneurial environment because the research location close to traditional and modern market. Problem formulated which examined is, related how the design, implementation, as well as the obstacles that occur in this research. The research method used is the classroom action research method using designs from Lewin according to Elliot. The design research of Lewin according to Elliot in each cycle begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation, field note, and documentation study. The instrument used is the observation sheet and rubric. Based on the research that has been done shows that project-based learning model can be an alternative model which could develop the potential of ecopreneurship grade VII-A MTS. Ar-Rohmah Bandung. This can be seen from the increase in the indicators of research after two cycles with a total of eight actions. The increase occurred on the indicators create, explore, creative, innovative, and confident. The results of this research can be an alternative to developing the social studies study that allows students to explore his creativity by doing a practice jump, so that learning becomes more meaningful for teachers as a student or as a character-forming the subject of the creation of the character.Keywords: project-based learning, the potential ecoprenership.
