AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil berpikir kreatif siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah Open-Ended  berdasarkan teori Wallas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga yang ditentukan dengan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan dibantu oleh instrumen pendukung berupa soal tes dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik validitas instrumen yang digunakan adalah uji triangulasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan mencakup transkrip hasil wawancara, reduksi data, analisis, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian Siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi bisa melewati tahap persiapan dan inkubasi dengan baik, tetapi melewati tahap iluminasi dan verifikasi dengan cukup. Hasil penelitian Siswa yang berkemampuan sedang bisa melewati tahap persiapan dan inkubasi dengan baik, tetapi melewati tahap iluminasi dan verifikasi dengan cukup. Hasil penelitian Siswa yang berkemampuan rendah melewati setiap tahap dengan kurang. AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the profile of the students’ creative thinking in solving Open-Ended problems based on the theory of Wallas. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects were three students from SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga who had high, medium, and low capability, determined by purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used were a test, interview, and documentation. The research instrument in this study was the researchers themselves and assisted by some supporting instruments in the form of test and interview guidelines. The technique used to measure the validity of the instruments was the triangulation test. The result of the research was the high-skilled and medium-skilled students could pass the preparation and incubation stages well, but passed the illumination and verification stages adequately. Meanwhile, the low-skilled student passed each stage, but could not complete the requirements of the stages.

<p align="center"><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong></p><p><em>This study examines the film “</em><em>Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” (Aach...I Fall in Love). This study aims to find out the visualization of the setting as a timepiece in the film “Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” through the size of the image. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The selection of samples in this study was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data collection is done by observation and interviews, while data analysis is done through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. Research focuses on setting as a timepiece visualized in the film “Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” through the size of the image. Abstrak: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel kelas VII MTs N 5 Magelang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa kelas VII MTs N 5 Magelang yang memiliki kemampuan awal matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Subjek penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes tertulis dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Subjek dengan kemampuan awal matematika tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif tinggi dimana subjek mampu mencapai aspek keluwesan, fleksibilitas, dan orisinil; 2) Subjek dengan kemampuan awal matematika sedang hanya mampu mencapai aspek keluwesan dan fleksibilitas; 3) Subjek dengan kemampuan awal matematika rendah  tidak mampu mencapai aspek keluwesan, fleksibilitas, dan orisinil. Abstrak: The type of this research s This qualitative research that aims to identify the ability of students' mathematical creative thinking in solving the problem of Linear Equations One Variable class VII MTs N 5 Magelang. The subjects of this research is 3 students of class VII MTs N 5 Magelang who have early high, medium, and low math skills. The subject of this research is taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques the form of written tests and interviews. Based on the results of the analysis can be concluded that: 1) Subjects with high early mathematical abilities possess high creative thinking abilities in which subjects are capable of achieving flexibility, flexibility, and original aspects; 2) Subjects with early math skills are only able to attain flexibility and flexibility aspects; 3) Subjects with low initial math skills are unable to achieve flexibility, flexibility, and original aspects.

This article aims to describe: the implementation of the SQ3R model to the ability to examine the characters contained in fiction texts in grade IV students of SDN Ganung Kidul 1 Nganjuk in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This article is an descriptive qualitative research carried out through five stages, namely: (1) data collection; (2) determination of the sample; (3) recording data; (4) reduction; and (5) drawing conclusions. Data sources in this article are journals and books relating to the learning of the SQ3R model on learning to examine the characters contained in fiction texts. These data provide an overview of the application of the SQ3R model on the ability to examine the characters contained in fictional texts. Furthermore, the object of the research is the learning model SQ3R with a subject of 22 students. The conclusion of the article shows that: this SQ3R model is very good to be applied to the basic competencies of Indonesian language class IV semester II, namely the ability to examine the characters contained in fiction texts.

This research was conducted to analyze how modernization affects the implementation of public service administration policies, especially in Kediri, East Java. As is well known, from time to time various aspects of life are required to undergo changes to a more modern direction. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Descriptive qualitative research is aimed at obtaining an overview of how modernization affects public service administration policies in Kediri. To obtain the necessary data, the authors used a purposive sampling technique so that the sample taken was more focused, assisted by a review of several related previous studies. The results showed that modernization, especially in the field of technology, was sufficient to influence public service administration policies in Kediri.

This study describes the Javanese language used by the presenters when bringing a wedding ceremony in the Sidoarjo area. Organizers have many variations of the language used at weddings with Javanese customs. The research method uses a qualitative research method approach where this research is in the Tambak Kemerakan village area, Krian sub-district, Sidoarjo district. The time of the research was carried out from May to July 2021. The data collection techniques in the study were in the form of documents, interviews and observations. The research instrument used a mobile phone and a list of questions to the presenters. The results of the study show that the use of language includes language variations, language variations based on lecturing functions, language variations in terms of formality using official language. Code switching in this study is an analysis of the language used when hosting weddings. And the occurrence of language code mixing in the form of Javanese krama alus switching to Indonesian and language interference in its morphological and phonological use.

This paper portrays the implementation of character education based on Javanese unggah-ungguh (etiquette) in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Karanganyar, using 24 students from 5th-grade who were mentioned as the alpha generation in 2020. Generally, this generation refers to children born after 2010 in this digital era. The unggah-ungguh is one of the Indonesian ancestral heritages that must be preserved, as though it may originate from Java, it strongly represents the culture of the country’s society. Six (6) characters of Javanese unggah-ungguh were used in this research as indicators, which are tata krama (manners), lembah manah (relent), andhap asor (humility), tepa slira (tolerance), grapyak (friendliness), and ewuh-pekewuh (reluctance). This study was descriptive qualitative research that focused on observing the realization of character education based on this culture, using observation, interview, survey, and documentation as the data collection instruments. As reviewed from the affective theory of Krathwohl Taxonomy, the education character based on Javanese unggah-ungguh has influenced three-component domains of affective attitudes, which are in the level of receiving or attending, responding, and valuing. Lastly, the result showed that implementing character education based on this culture has truly shaped a better personality for students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Karanganyar as the alpha generation.

This research aims to figure out the types of personification used in one of the famous albums namely Michael Jackson's Thriller and Invincible. The sources of data were 19 songs taken from Thriller and Invincible albums by Michael Jackson and the lyrics of the songs. The research design used was descriptive qualitative research with documentation analysis as the technique of data collection. The result showed that there were 65 personification expressions found in the albums. Those 65 personifications were categorized into four types of personification as proposed by Dorst et al. (2011) namely: conventionalized personification (33 expressions), novel personification (20 expressions), default personification (12 expressions), and personification-with-metonymy (0 expressions). The idea of conventionalized personification presents in the lyrics is to dig out the beauty and tranquility of nature to life. It also might address giving an object or animal-human characteristics to create interesting imagery to the ELT Students. Also, these songs are assumed as one of the various English materials in language teaching in the future since it has no sarcasm and motivating contexts throughout the lyrics themselves.

Background Purposive sampling has a long developmental history and there are as many views that it is simple and straightforward as there are about its complexity. The reason for purposive sampling is the better matching of the sample to the aims and objectives of the research, thus improving the rigour of the study and trustworthiness of the data and results. Four aspects to this concept have previously been described: credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. Aims The aim of this paper is to outline the nature and intent of purposive sampling, presenting three different case studies as examples of its application in different contexts. Results Presenting individual case studies has highlighted how purposive sampling can be integrated into varying contexts dependent on study design. The sampling strategies clearly situate each study in terms of trustworthiness for data collection and analysis. The selected approach to purposive sampling used in each case aligns to the research methodology, aims and objectives, thus addressing each of the aspects of rigour. Conclusions Making explicit the approach used for participant sampling provides improved methodological rigour as judged by the four aspects of trustworthiness. The cases presented provide a guide for novice researchers of how rigour may be addressed in qualitative research.

ABSTRACTThe objectives of this study are (1) to describe the rules of writing format in several journals in Indonesia, namely Rhetoric, Articulation, Salingka, Litera, and Literacy Pens and (2) find manifestations of the different writing formats and shell styles in the journal. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research are several scientific journals in Indonesia, namely Rhetoric, Articulation, Salingka, Litera, and Pen Literacy. The data collection technique used in this study is referring to obtaining data by listening to the use of the writing format in the journal and the style of the environment used. The results of the analysis and discussion of the differences in writing formats and confinement styles in the Rhetoric, Articulation, Salingka, Litera, and Pen Literacy journals can be concluded that there are differences in writing formats and confinement styles in each journal that are influenced by the policies of the journal parties concerned. This article is intended as knowledge for writers, especially beginner writers in writing journal articles to find out the format desired by a journal page. This is as a condition for a journal article to be posted on the journal's page. The results of journal articles indicate that there are differences and similarities between the five journals.

<p>Riddle game is one of the good techniques in teaching speaking. The objectives of this research are to describe the application of riddle game in teaching speaking, identify the advantages, identify the disadvantages and identify the solution of disadvantages of riddle game.</p><p>The researcher uses descriptive qualitative research. The sources of data taken from participants, social situation and document. In this research, the researcher uses purposive sampling. To collect the data, there are observation, interview and documentation. Data validity is triangulation. The data are analyzed by using condensation, display the data, verification and conclusion.</p>The result of this research are (1) the application of riddle game in teaching speaking is divided into three steps: (a) pre-activities (b) whilst-activities (c) post-activities (2) The advantages of riddle game in teaching speaking makes the students active in learning process, happy, increase their vocabulary, able to pronounce some words well and confident to retell the story (3) The disadvantages: makes the class crowded and riddle game has limited time (4) The solution of disadvantages of riddle game is the teacher can manage the time well and able to control the students well in order to make a good atmosphere of the class.
