Finding out the conditions of the geological past under which tar secretions were fossilised and primary bio-sedimentary deposits of protoamber were accumulated and amber-succinite placers formed in the marine environment is an important link in scientific research. Insufficient study of amber-succinite as an organic formation, which has gone through a difficult path of transition from wildlife to minerals, leads to irrational use and search for such valuable raw materials and its extraction is much less beneficial than planned. The authors have carried out a comprehensive systematization of accumulated knowledge on amber-succinite and other mineral types of mineral resins in Ukraine and the entire Baltic-Dnipro amber province. The article discusses the creation of a new map of mineral fossil resins in Ukraine. In addition to the known amber-bearing zones, deposits and occurrences of amber, the map carriespaleogeological and predicted loads, is closely related to the formation of both secondary placers of amber-succinite and primary biogenic-sedimentary deposits – resin bodies, transitional composition in the first half of the Middle Eocene (Buchakian time). In order to develop a reasonable forecast of the deposits, the authors identified the root source of amber-succinite placers, which is represented by biogenic-sedimentary deposits of resin bodies.  These deposits were formed in the Lower Middle Eocene during the Buchakian time on land of the Ukrainian Shield, most often within swampy accumulative depressions associated with ancient faults and structural tectonic traps. The conditions of the geological past, under which tar secretions were fossilized and primary biogenic-sedimentary deposits of the protoamber were accumulated, as well as the formation of amber-succinite placers, the first intermediate collectors in the coastal-marine, liman delta and deep-water parts of the paleoshelf, have been clarified. The work carried out by the authors resulted in predicted conclusions about the possibility of finding new areas promising for the discovery of industrial deposits of the most valuable type of fossil resins – amber succinite.

The impact of the urban effluents of Mytilene (Lesvos island, Greece) on the receiving coastal marine environment, was evaluated by studying the quality of the city effluents (BOD5, COD, SS, heavy metals) and the marine sediments (grain size, organic matter, heavy metals). It was found that the urban effluents of Mytilene contain high organic matter and suspended particle load because of septage discharge into the sewerage network. Furthermore, although the city does not host important industrial activity, its effluents contain appreciable metal load, which is mainly associated with the particulate phase. The city effluents are discharged into the coastal marine environment and their colloidal and particulate matter after flocculation settles to the bottom, where is incorporated into the sediments. Over the years, the accumulation of organic matter and metals into the harbour mud has created a non-point pollution source in the relatively non-polluted coastal marine environment of the island. Copper and Zn were the metals which presented the higher enrichment in the sediments of the inner harbour of Mytilene.

The sewage diffusion is an environmental material for protecting marine environment. It plays an important role in port engineering. Its effect under deep water was carried out between different diffuser design parameters based on the hydraulic model test, and YangKou port sewage marine disposal project phase II was taken as an example. For this project, jet angle was controlled to be 0 degree, and horizontal angle was controlled to be 0 degree. It not only can ensure that sewage fully diluted mixed, also can avoid the premature convergence and sewage lifting. It is feasible for selecting large angle nozzle under deep water and there are some technical bases have been provided for other sewage marine disposal project.

Knowledge of the threats posed to the oceans by human activity has expanded beyond marine pollution to encompass recognition of the risks posed to vulnerable marine ecosystems (VMEs) by overfishing, destructive fisheries practices, and invasive exploitation of living and nonliving marine resources. However, with the still-developing state of marine scientific research, the majority of activities at sea continue to occur with limited knowledge of their impacts on the marine environment. In this climate of uncertainty, environmental assessment assumes heightened importance. While governance structures will generally exist to facilitate environmental assessment in marine areas within national jurisdiction, these structures are still developing for marine areas beyond national jurisdiction (ABNJ).

The article considers the methodology of scientific research at enterprises, the main emphasis is placed on the issue of audit and innovation in improving enterprise management. Yes, today the world is in crisis in the economy due to the COVID-19 virus. However, appropriate measures are needed to get out of this situation as soon as possible. Universities pay special attention to research that provides new knowledge, helps in solving problems, decision-making, discovery, invention, conflict resolution. Without "theory", appropriate research, practice is impossible, as the article proves. Yes, an important factor that determines the success of the audit is the audit. Its absence causes a crisis in the company, which can lead to bankruptcy. Therefore, sufficient attention should be paid to the issue of audit in scientific research. Moreover, innovations contribute to the development of enterprises. However, it does not make sense to implement them without appropriate scientific and financial research - innovations must be relevant to the company, make a profit after their implementation, as well as stimulated by the state. However, it is equally important to take into account innovation, environmental friendliness and profitability. Food quality management depends not only on the company that produces them, processing technology, suppliers of raw materials (agriculture), but also on medical standards, recommendations, marketing, consumer market research, their features. Production in the world is becoming human-oriented, so it changes the guidelines, management not only in the enterprise but also in the regions and society. It is no coincidence that in international practice more and more often to determine the quality of life in the country instead of GDP use the happiness index, which includes along with the level of income and life expectancy. There is a need to "supplement" medical expertise with economic and environmental ones. We are talking about the "birth" of a new medical, economic and environmental examination of food products (MEEEFP). The higher the quality of food, the higher its competitiveness, better management in a saturated market, the quality of the environment and the quality of labor reproduction, increase life expectancy, GDP of the region and the country. This quality can be achieved only with the help of innovative technologies.

The Philippines, as a tropical archipelagic country, is particularly vulnerable to environmental changes affecting coastal and marine settings. However, there are limited studies investigating how these changes are perceived by the local populations who depend directly on the marine environment for their livelihoods, health, and well-being, and who are the most vulnerable to such changes. To explore these issues, we conducted an in-home face-to-face structured survey in 10 coastal communities in Palawan, Philippines (n = 431). As part of the survey, respondents were asked to comment on how important they believed a list of 22 drivers/pressures (e.g., “land-use change”) were in affecting their local marine environment. Statistical analysis of this list using Exploratory Factor Analysis suggested the 22 drivers/pressures could be categorized into 7 discrete groups (or in statistical terms “factors”) of drivers/pressures (e.g., “urbanization,” “unsustainable fishing practices” etc.). We then used ordinary least squared regression to identify similarities and differences between the perspectives within and across communities, using various socio-demographic variables. Results suggested that among the seven identified factors, four were perceived by the local communities as making the marine environment worse, two were perceived as having no impact, and one was perceived to be making the marine environment better. Perceptions differed by gender, education, ethnicity, and study site. A subsequent survey with 16 local coastal resource management experts, suggested that public perceptions of the most critical drivers/pressures were broadly consistent with those of this expert group. Our findings highlight how aware local coastal communities are of the drivers/pressures underpinning the threats facing their livelihoods, health, and well-being. Ultimately, this information can support and inform decisions for the management of local marine resources.

The coastal marine environment is fraught with risk for any exposed or minimally-buried seabed structure such as an outfall. Thus, conduits of this type should be inspected on a regular basis, whether by divers, remotely operated vehicles, or manned submersibles. Small deficiencies may be handled upon detection by the same person or system. Major problems will require a competent marine contractor and an elapse of time. The paper lists a number of outfall malfunctions of various scales and, in most cases, the remedial measures pursued. With care, a typical pipe of this type should function efficiently for many years.

Purpose. Study geochemical composition and parageneses ore elements in carbonate rocks articulation zones Pryazovskyi crystalline array Donetsk folded structure. Methodology. Complex statistical methods used SPSS / v19.0 for Windows package – namely, correlation and cluster analysis in determining the parageneses of ore elements in carbonate rocks. Results. The article studies carbonate rocks in which ore occurrences and areas of secondary mineralization distribution were previously established. Statistical data processing of semi-quantitative spectral analysis of samples was carried out. The statistical characteristics of the distribution of ore elements in primary carbonate (limestone, dolomite) and karst zones rocks are determined. An increase in the coefficients of variation and concentration of ore elements in karst formations has been established. It is concluded that an increase in the permeability of carbonate rocks in leaching zones is accompanied by the activation of hydrothermal-metasomatic reactions and contributes to the localization of ore occurrences of secondary mineralization (fluorite, quartz, sulfides). Leaching zones, next to zones of tectonic disturbances, served as the leading channels for hydrothermal solutions, under the influence of which substitution reactions of the main cations of carbonate rocks by ore element cations took place. Repeated activation of hydrothermal processes led to the formation of mudstones. Tectonic dislocations were accompanied by the formation of low-temperature associations of hydrothermal minerals. There are the higher-temperature associations of hydrothermal minerals in carbonate rocks on the areas of andesite-trachyandesite complexes igneous rocks distribution. Scientific novelty. It was established for the first time that the ore occurrences of the Donbass Junction Zone with the Priazovsky block of the Ukrainian Shield can be attributed to the hydrothermal mudstone formation, and their localization is determined by the presence of decompression zones in carbonate rocks. Practical significance. The regularities established can be used to predict leaching zones in carbonate rocks, where there is a decrease in the quality of carbonate raw materials.
