Health data privacy is an important research stream due to the high impacts on the success of digital health transformation and implementation. Neglecting to safeguard data confidentially and integrity and mitigate risks associated with unauthorized access will lead to failures in materializing benefit from digital health. This study aims to present a bibliometric analysis of health data privacy and provide a platform for future directions. We conducted a literature search between 2010 and 2020 in the Web of Science (WoS) database, resulted in 1,752 records. As part of the bibliometric analysis, concept mapping of health data privacy researches was depicted by network visualization and overlay visualization. These two visualizations represent five research fronts and emerging topics (e.g., digital health, blockchain, the internet of things (IoT)). Finally, we chart directions for future research on health data privacy, highlighting emerging topics, and boundary-breaking alternatives (e.g., GDPR, contact tracing apps in the context of pandemics).

Purpose For sustaining a competitive advantage in the integrated world economy, it has become imperative for family firms to internationalise their operations in overseas markets. However, despite the growing set of literature, results are still inconclusive with respect to family firms’ internationalisation. Thus, this study aims to address this gap by systematically reviewing 142 articles (1991–2019) to help researchers in identifying and unfolding the unexplored themes in the underlying area. Design/methodology/approach For systematically reviewing articles, the study uses a three-step methodology following PRISMA guidelines, bibliometric analysis and thematic analysis. Descriptive statistics of 142 research articles are obtained through bibliometric analysis while thematic analysis is carried out to create themes or clusters of various factors relating to family firms’ internationalisation. Findings The current review uncovers the evolving trends in the research streams, most productive authors, top journals and articles, co-citation analysis, as well as the major themes surrounding the family firms’ internationalisation literature. Results from bibliometric analysis indicate that family firms’ internationalisation is an upcoming research area. Also, the review indicates an opportunity for scholars from developing nations to make significant contributions in the underlying research stream. Research limitations/implications Results from bibliometric and thematic analysis will help academicians and researchers in accumulating a holistic understanding relating to family firms’ internationalisation and understanding the upcoming trends in family firms’ research, thereby guiding the future research scope. Also, it will assist the family firms’ leaders and managers in understanding the important dynamics in overseas markets and various factors to be considered while planning their internationalisation. Originality/value Undertaking a systematic literature review presents readers with a state-of-the-art understanding of the underlying research topic. To the best of the knowledge, to date, the study is the first to conduct the review of literature through bibliometric analysis with the help of R Studio software in the field of family firms’ internationalisation. Also, the study is the first to review more than 100 research articles in the underlying area. Finally, the study proposes a comprehensive framework integrating the major themes and facets relating to family firms’ internationalisation.

BACKGROUND Digital health is growing at a rapid pace, and digital health literacy has tremendous potential to promote health outcomes, bridge the digital divide, and improve health inequalities. OBJECTIVE The purposes of this study are to conduct a systematic bibliometric analysis on the field of dig-ital health literacy and to understand the research context and trends in this field. METHODS A total of 1,955 scientific publications were collected from the Web of Science (WoS) core col-lection. Institutional cooperation, journal co-citation, theme bursting, keyword co-occurrence, author cooperation, author co-citation, literature co-citation and references in the field of digi-tal health literacy were analyzed using the VOSviewer and CiteSpace knowledge mapping tools. RESULTS The results demonstrated that the United States was the leader in number of publications and citations in this field. The University of California System was first in terms of institutional contributions. The Journal of Medical Internet Research led in number of publications, cita-tions and co-citations. Research areas in the field of digital health literacy mainly include the definition and scale of health literacy, health literacy and health outcomes, health literacy and the digital divide, and the influencing factors of health literacy. CONCLUSIONS We summarize research progress in the field of digital health literacy and reveal the context, trends, and trending topics of digital health literacy research through statistical analysis and network visualization. Our work can serve as a fundamental reference and directional guide for future research in this field.

In August 2020, India announced its vision for the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM), a federated national digital health exchange where digitised data generated by healthcare providers will be exported via application programme interfaces to the patient’s electronic personal health record. The NDHM architecture is initially expected to be a claims platform for the national health insurance programme ‘Ayushman Bharat’ that serves 500 million people. Such large-scale digitisation and mobility of health data will have significant ramifications on care delivery, population health planning, as well as on the rights and privacy of individuals. Traditional mechanisms that seek to protect individual autonomy through patient consent will be inadequate in a digitised ecosystem where processed data can travel near instantaneously across various nodes in the system and be combined, aggregated, or even re-identified.In this paper we explore the limitations of ‘informed’ consent that is sought either when data are collected or when they are ported across the system. We examine the merits and limitations of proposed alternatives like the fiduciary framework that imposes accountability on those that use the data; privacy by design principles that rely on technological safeguards against abuse; or regulations. Our recommendations combine complementary approaches in light of the evolving jurisprudence in India and provide a generalisable framework for health data exchange that balances individual rights with advances in data science.

Purpose The purpose of this bibliometric and systematic literature review is to survey and evaluate key study’s in tacit knowledge (TK). Through analysing and synthesizing based on the antecedents, decisions, outcomes-theories, context and methods (ADO-TCM) framework, this paper highlights research gaps and avenues for future research. It is important to recognize the antecedents, results and theories in the available literature as it offers enough evidence for encouraging the significance of TK. Design/methodology/approach This research paper follows a bibliometric analysis and systematic approach in identifying, analyzing and synthesizing pertinent literature in TK. A total of 59 research studies were carefully and systematically reviewed with the help of NVivo12 and excel software to code and analyse. Findings With the help of bibliometric analysis and framework-based systematic review, this research paper offers a retrospective view of the TCM framework in the amalgamation with ADO framework, bibliometric analysis and important themes of TK research. Originality/value This paper is different from existing reviews as the authors have to combine bibliometric analysis and framework-based systematic review approach to provide a more robust encapsulation of TK research. To the best of the knowledge, the present research is one of the first systematic reviews based on a framework relating to TK.

Digital health data is important to keep secure, and patients' perception around the privacy of it is essential to the development of digital health records. In this paper we present people's perceptions of the communication of data protection, in relation to their personal health data and the access to it; we focused particularly on people with chronic or long-term illness. Based on their use of personally accessible health records, we inquired into their explicit perception of security and sense of data privacy in relation to their health data. Our goal was to provide insights and guidelines to designers and developers on the communication of data protection in health records in an accessible way for the users. We analyzed their approach to and experience with their own health care records and describe the details of their challenges. A conceptual framework called "Privacy Awareness' was developed from the findings and reflects the perspectives of the users. The conceptual framework forms the basis of a proposal for design guidelines for Digital Health Record systems, which aim to address, facilitate and improve the users' awareness of the protection of their online health data.

Health data privacy is essential for the acceptance of digital health applications. Hence, privacy is a precondition for future healthcare delivery. This study compares the perception of the current state of health data privacy in officially registered and therefore regulated health applications (medical devices) according to the medical product act as well as non-regulated health applications (devices with medical functionality) in Germany. To this end, an empirical study based on a questionnaire is conducted (n=53). The results show that there are significant differences between the analysed health applications with respect to perceived data privacy. In particular, there is a significant difference of the levels of perceived security between both types of devices. Low privacy for one type of device may hamper trust in digital health applications in general as there are spill-over effects regarding the perception of data privacy. Thus, the study suggests that legal regulations for devices with medical functionality should be adapted to protect health data adequately.

The purpose of this paper is to scrutinize and classify the literature linking gaming for healthcare and management phenomena. An objective bibliometric analysis is conducted, supported by subjective assessments based on studies focused on the linking of gaming for healthcare and management fields. From the analysis and its evaluation, three clusters depicting literature linking gaming for healthcare and management phenomena are showed: management and governance public/private healthcare system; gaming and knowledge/strategic management; management health/medical insurance system using game theory. Moreover, the study shows the limits of existing literature on this topic and proposes future research topics. This is one of the first attempts to comprehend the research stream which, over time, has paved the way to the intersection between gaming for healthcare and management fields.

Background: Considering the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on health service delivery, the US Office for Civil Rights (OCR) updated the policies on health data processing, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Objectives: In this study, we investigated discourses on HIPAA in relation to COVID-19. Methods: Through a search of media sources in the Factiva database, relevant texts were identified. We applied a text mining approach to identify concepts and themes in these texts. Results: Our analysis revealed six central themes, namely, Health, HIPAA, Privacy, Security, Patients, and Need, as well as their associated concepts. Among these, Health was the most frequently discussed theme. It comprised concepts such as public, care, emergency, providers, telehealth, entity, use, discretion, OCR, Health and Human Services (HHS), enforcement, business, and services. Conclusion: Our discourse analysis of media outlets highlights the role of health data privacy law in the response to global public health emergencies and demonstrates how discourse analysis and computational methods can inform health data protection policymaking in the digital health era.

Background: Privacy enhancing techniques are developed in order to provide strong protection to cyberspace. These techniques aim to allow users to keep their identities hidden during the communication when they are sending email, making payments online, browsing the Web or posting to newsgroups. MixNet is the most practical solution for concealing identities of message and sender’s identities. Objective: It provides sender and receiver anonymity as well as message security. The main goal of MixNet is to overcome vulnerability and enhance the performance of communication. It can efficiently handle the messages of various length and produce desirable results with privacy. The main objective of this paper is to acquire information and concepts regarding MixNet. We also provide guidelines for future research and references. Methods : The designing of MixNet depends on what cryptosystem method is used. Symmetric and Asymmetric both are used. Other methods could be also used such as PIR, CSP and FDR model, RPC, Token-based approach or others. Result: In this paper we provide an overview of MixNet approaches and presented a survey on MixNet based techniques and different models. We also constructed the comparison tables as per our requirements for better understanding. For this purpose, we found a total of 120 articles related to the MixNet published between 1990 and 2018 from the most relevant scientific resources. However, only 86 papers were analyzed due to comprehensiveness and relevancy to this article. Conclusion: Focused on the security and privacy of communication and how it can be achieved. This survey also reveals research progress and research gap on MixNet.
