The success of a school, of course, cannot be separated from the roles of teachers and employees. With the presence of teachers who meet predetermined quality standards, the school's productivity will increase and its quality can be maintained. Therefore, the school is required to be able to select a more objective recruitment of prospective employees. A process that is not objective will lead to inaccuracy in selecting prospective employees. To overcome this problem, a candidate recruitment application system is needed that can select prospective employees as needed. This research took place in private high schools in Jakarta. The system development method used in this research is the waterfall. The application developed in this study consisted of three users, namely the principal, assessors and prospective employees. This study produces an application that can be used by the private high school in selecting prospective employees according to their needs.

Abstract Background From among the global public health concerns, smoking remains one of the most crucial challenges. Especially for adolescents, the increase in the use of electronic cigarettes is controversial, as its use may lead to established smoking. In Japan, where a unique tobacco regulation system exists, the heat-not-burn tobacco market has been growing. However, the prevalence and association of combustible cigarettes and new tobacco-related products have not yet been closely investigated among Japanese adolescents. This study aimed to clarify the prevalence of smoking among adolescents, including new types of tobacco-related products, and to compare the characteristics of their users. Methods The 2017 Lifestyle Survey of Adolescents is a nationally-representative survey collected in Japan. From the national school directory, 98 junior high schools and 86 high schools were randomly sampled throughout Japan. The students completed an anonymous questionnaire at school. We calculated the prevalence of use for each type of tobacco product. Then, the use of a combination of products and the characteristics of different types of products were examined. Results In total, 64,152 students from 48 junior high schools and 55 high schools were included the analysis (school response rate = 56%, M age = 15.7 years, 53.9% boys). The age-adjusted rate of ever (current) use of electronic cigarettes was 2.1% (0.7%) in junior high school and 3.5% (1.0%) in high school; that of combustible cigarettes was 2.6% (0.6%) in junior high school and 5.1% (1.5%) in high school. The rate of heat-not-burn tobacco use was lower relative to other products: 1.1% (0.5%) in junior high school and 2.2% (0.9%) in high school. An examination of the combined use of the three products identified a high number of dual users. Comparisons between different types of users indicated different backgrounds for combustible cigarette users and new product users. Conclusions The prevalence of new tobacco-alternative products is growing in popularity among Japanese adolescents. Dual use is common, and many adolescents use new products only. Moreover, e-cigarettes might attract a broader range of groups to smoking. Continuous monitoring and research are needed to investigate their influence as a possible gateway to tobacco smoking.

This study aims to identify students' misconceptions on Newton's Law using the Five-Tier Newton's Laws Test (5TNLT) instrument. The process of identifying misconceptions is carried out as one of the first steps to overcome student misconceptions. The method used in this study uses the 4D model (Defining, Designing, Developing, and Disseminating). Participants involved in this study consisted of 327 students (198 female and 129 male), who came from 2 public high schools and 1 private high school in Bandung. Based on the research, it was found that the 5TNLT instrument developed by the researcher could be used to identify misconceptions and causes of students' misconceptions on Newton's Law. All items on the 5TNLT instrument are valid and reliable enough to measure student misconceptions. The highest percentage of misconception categories is shown in the MC-PT (Misconception from personal thoughts) category, which is 50.21%, while the smallest percentage is shown in the MC-I (Misconception from the internet) category, which is 14.82%.

The time is ripe to strengthen the mathematics capacity of inner-city high schools, creating wider access to powerful and exciting mathematics courses for public high school students in America's cities. A particular national weakness is that a significant percent of urban secondary schools offer no calculus course. Access and availability to a curriculum comparable to that offered in virtually every suburban and private high school is denied these students.

The charitable endeavors of Muhammadiyah in the Bangka Belitung Region in the field of education from the levels of Elementary Schools, Junior High Schools, and High Schools and Vocational High Schools are spread to all districts/cities. However, the discussion about Muhammadiyah education in Bangka Belitung is very minimal. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This study took the sample of the oldest and best senior high school as an illustration of Muhammadiyah education management in Bangka Belitung. The results showed that Muhammadiyah Education experienced various obstacles to the threat of closure, however, they were able to rise from adversity. Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang High School as the oldest school departed from a school that boarded at Muhammadiyah Middle School and later became one of the most popular schools in the era of the 1990s to accommodate students up to 18 classes, but later it fell free and was almost closed due to the lack of students. Several times the change of school principals has not improved, a new hope is obtained when the management of this school is submitted to the STKIP Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung to become its lab school. Now with new facilities and management, the number of students is increasing, slowly but surely this school is starting to improve itself. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah Toboali High School, South Bangka Regency, which was established in 1994, almost lost public confidence, due to a large number of students who failed the National Examination for the 2006/2007 school year. The situation changed along with Supiandi's leadership, his persistence in managing the school, and finally, the trust in the community returned. Now the number of students has reached nearly 500 students

According to data Basic Healt Research (Riskesdas) in 2016, as many as 22,7% women of reproductive age more than 15 years indicate anemia. Anemia that often occurs is iron deficiency anemia, the incidence reaches 50% of the total anemia. There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and incidence of anemia in adolescent. This study was an observational analytic with a cross sectional approach. This study was conducted in private high school Santa Lusia Medan. The population of this study were adolescent girl with a total sample 74 using total sampling technique. The research material in the form scales and height measurements to measure boddy mass index, quesioner for iron consumption patterns and consumption habits of Fe tablet and hemoglobin levels were examined using haemometer digital. Data analysis used chi square test (α=0,005).The results of the research are variabels related to anemia incidence are body mass index (sig=0,019), iron consumption patterns (sig=0,017), Fe tablet consumption habit (sig=0,045). Conclusion this study is factor causing anemia in adolescent girls is the pattern of iron consumption. Adolescent girl who have irreguler iron consumption pattern have an oppurtunity to experience anemia of 4,250 compared to adolescent girl who have reguler iron consumption patterns.

In activists' circles as in sociology, the concept "safe space" has beenapplied to all sorts of programs, organizations, and practices. However, few studies have specified clearly what safe spaces are and how theysupport the people who occupy them. In this paper, we examine one sociallocation typically understood to be a safe space: gay-straight alliancegroups in high schools. Using qualitative interviews with young adults inthe United States and Canada who have participated in gay-straightalliances, we examine the experiences of safe spaces in these groups. Weunpack this complex concept to consider some of the dimensions along whichsafe spaces might vary. Participants identified several types of safespace, and from their observations we derive three inter-related dimensionsof safe space: social context, membership and activity.
