Abstrak: Upaya pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) di sekolah tidak cukup hanya menyediakan infrastruktur dan konten saja, akan tetapi perlu disiapkan sumber daya manusia pengguna melalui upaya pembudayaan. Pembudayan TIK di sekolah berarti proses mengubah perilaku semua insan di sekolah dan pihak terkait lainnya untuk memanfaatkan TIK menjadi suatu kebiasaan. Budaya TIK di sekolah dapat diwujudkan dalam bentuk gagasan, aktivitas, dan artefak. Kebiasaan pemanfaatan TIK ini dilakukan baik untuk keperluan pembelajaran, administrasi, komunikasi, dan kegiatan lainnya dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah. Walaupun TIK hasil suatu inovasi, namun dalam pembudayaan perlu menggunakan pendekatan top down dan bottom up, sehingga saling melengkapi dan melahirkan joint planning yang dapat mengakomodir kebutuhan, permasalahan, dan potensi sekolah. Pembudayaan TIK dilakukan secara holistik. Adapun strateginya dilakukan secara terprogram, dimulai dari yang sederhana dan mudah, sosialisasi dan bimbingan pemanfaatan secara variatif dan kontinyu, memberikan recognation/apresiasi, serta melibatkan sasaran mulai dalam setiap tahapan. Proses komunikasinyadilakukan mulai dari tahapan awal, tahap pembinaan, tahap pelembagaan, dan tahap reward.Kata kunci: pembudayaan, teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, pemanfaatan TIKAbstract: Utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) in school needs more efforts than just by providing infrastructure and content. Other effort is preparing human resources (users) by cultivation. Cultivation of ICT in schools means changing the attitude of people and other parties at school in ICT utilization to become habit. ICT culture in schools presents in the form of ideas, activities, and artifacts. The ICT utilization habit is conducted for learning, administration, communication as well as for other purposes that support the improvement of education quality in school. Even though ICT is the result of innovation, its cultivation in schools needs to use both top-down and bottom-up approaches, so that the two approaches can be complementary and bring about a joint planning that is able to accommodate needs, problems, and potentials of school. ICT cultivation is conducted holistically, performed programmatically, starting from the simple and easy, socialization and guidance of utilization diversely and constantly, recognition/appreciation, and involving targetsin each phase. The communication process is conducted in the early phase, development phase, institutional phase and rewarding phase.Keywords: Cultivation, information and communication technology, utilization of ICT

Salah satu usaha untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan yaitu memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) untuk pendidikan. Pemanfaatan TIK untuk pendidikan juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk sekolah di daerah 3T (Terpencil, Tertinggal, dan Terdepan). Pemanfaatan TIK untuk daerah 3T menggunakan prinsip 1) empowering (pemberdayaan), 2) button up (tumbuh dari bawah), 3) sustainability (keberlangsungan), 4) pendekatan pembelajaran modern, dan 5) partnership (kemitraan). Setelah dilakukan kajian hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan TIK untuk daerah 3T dengan berdasarkan kelima prinsip tersebut menunjukkan mampu mendorong guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, memotivasi siswa untuk rajin ke sekolah, dan mengajak partisipasi masyarakat untuk menyekolahkan anaknya yang lebih tinggi.Kata Kunci: Pemanfaatan, TIK, pendidikan, daerah terdepan, terpencil, dan tertinggalAbstract: This article aimed to offer a thought and solution to solve the uneven quality of education in Indonesia. One of efforts to increase education quality was done by utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) for education. ICT could also be utilized for schools in remote, undeveloped, and frontier areas. The utilization of ICT for those regions was under the principles of 1) empowerment, 2) bottom-up, 3) sustainability, 4) modern learning approach, and 5) partnership. The result of the study showed that the utilization of ICT under those five principlies was able to encourage teachers to increase learning quality, to motivate students to be diligent, and to persuade community to send their children to higher level of school.Key Words: utilization, ICT, education, frontier areas, remote areas, undeveloped areas.

In the era of Society 5.0, the role of communication technology was further enhanced so that it made it easier for humans in various aspects, such as economic, social, cultural, educational, health, business, and so on. However, the sophistication of information and communication technology causes interpersonal to interact less rarely face to face and face to face because it is more comfortable interacting through cyberspace through social media. This research was conducted to illustrate how social communication from understanding anxiety in the digital age. In conducting interactions, each individual can experience communication fears where individuals tend to experience anxiety because too much information is received. The group can be one of the very positive spheres of communication. The object of this research is Basmala members, who have various backgrounds as members of Islamic spiritual groups who uphold religious values. This research uses a qualitative research method with an ethnomethodology type that looks at how the disclosure of reality in people's lives and how individuals receive, learn, apply information provided in the community. Basmala is an Islamic spiritual organization whose members are students. As a religious organization where the culture and activities of the organization also have characteristics that can lead to the basic rules of religion that are expected to familiarize its members to deal with differences in the communication process to overcome the causes of communication apprehension

The rapid development of information and communication technology offers solutions in effective and efficient organizational management. The implementation of information technology becomes an important aspect in the competition in the digital arena. This study aims to examine in-depth about how the application of HRIS in STPBI. The research results showed that the implementation of HRIS at STPBI is used as a strategic activity in optimizing HR functions. The transformation and implementation of HRIS has several supporting and inhibiting factors. These supporting and inhibiting factors are combined in the development of HR in line with the theoretical and literary concepts used in this study. Through integrated work synergies in the field of staffing, transparency and availability of information is very helpful in decision making. The implementation of HRIS at STPBI is based on the paradigm of a balance between supporting factors and inhibiting factors.

This qualitative case study aims to review and analyze the condition of the information and communication technology (ICT) facilities for the implementation of the computer-based national examination (UNBK), the principal's strategies in implementing UNBK, and the obstacles in implementing UNBK at one of junior high schools in Kota Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. Data were collected by interview, observation and documentation. The result of data analysis revealed the lack of facilities for the implementation of UNBK in the school. The principal's strategies in implementing UNBK in the school cover various aspects, such as facilities and infrastructure, human resources, and pupil affairs. Two obstacles emerged i.e., technical and non-technical.

The information and communication technology industry is growing worldwide, penetrating all sectors and services. Therefore, organizations are formulating different formulas and mechanisms to provide a competitive and challenging working environment to attract the best human resources around the globe to join their infrastructure build-up in terms of humanware. Egypt, as a developing country, has been investing heavily in building its information and communication technology infrastructure with a focus on human resources. However, many organizations are continually faced with various challenges to keep their key human resources due to the emerging offerings and opportunities at various levels locally, regionally and internationally. This chapter presents the findings of a research that was conducted in Egypt in 2001 with a primary objective to understand the overall level of job satisfaction among employees in the ICT sector in Egypt. The research aimed at identifying the major factors that affect their satisfaction and highlighting the driving forces leading to the “brain drain” of skilled ICT professionals to jobs overseas. The research assesses the major aspects affecting job satisfaction and ranks them by importance. Moreover, the empirical evidence illustrates the willingness of ICT professionals to seek job opportunities abroad, and the major forces leading to brain drain. Within the scope of the research, job satisfaction is studied as a function of four groups of job aspects, namely, economic, social, training and development, and psychological aspects. Economic aspects cover variables such as pay, rewards and benefits. Social aspects include relationships with colleagues, teamwork and working conditions. Training and development covers the amount of training received by employees and their access to technologies. Psychological aspects include factors such as interest and scope of work, challenges and disciplinary procedures. The survey was conducted among ICT professionals employed in key ICT companies operating in Egypt, as well as companies in other sectors including financial institutions including organizations from the private sector, governmental organizations and multinational firms. The research is important to assess the problems faced by many organizations in Egypt due to the brain drain of its skilled ICT professionals to jobs overseas due to clearer career paths and advancement opportunities, better access to new technologies and higher pay. Respectively, the findings of the research represent important guidelines for various organizations to be able to retain its ICT skilled professionals in Egypt and similar environments.

The implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in higher education institutions plays an important role in realizing the competitive advantage, especially in the realization of the three pillars of higher education. In order for the implementation of ICT in higher education institutions to be effective, adequate support from infrastructure, human resources, and leader and organizational commitment is needed. The research focuses on and aims to describe the effectiveness of ICT implementation in student academic services, covering ICT policies and programs, ICT implementation strategies, ICT implementation, and the effectiveness of ICT implementation in student academic services. In addition, it attempts to formulate a hypothetical model of ICT implementation in student academic services. The research adopted the analytical-descriptive method through qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentary analysis. Afterwards, the data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, inference drawing, and verification. The research took place in Bandung Institute of Technology. The findings show that: The ICT policies and programs are based on the implementation of the three pillars of higher education (education, research, and community service); the strategies give emphasis on coordination patterns; ICT implementation in academic services is realized through e-learning (online, blended learning, video conference), academic information system, and digital library; the effectiveness of the ICT implementation is analyzed based on the realization of the program at the level of unit (decision-focused approach), performance achievement (goal-oriented approach), and student satisfaction (user-oriented approach) in terms of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. It is recommended that ICT implementation in academic services should be able to realize the competitive advantage of the implementation of the three pillars of higher education, which is in accordance with the institution’s vision, missions, and strategic goals, supported by the availability of infrastructure, human resources, funds, managerial and organizational commitment, and periodical evaluation and monitoring.

ABSTRAKBerbagai permasalahan saat ini dihadapi oleh perpustakaan. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, serta rendahnya minat baca merupakan permasalahan yang harus segera di atasi. Rendahnya minat baca masyarakat saat ini merupakan ancaman serius yang sedang dihadapi oleh bangsa Indonesia. Indeks membaca di Indonesia masih sangat rendah sehingga berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kualitas sumberdaya manusia yang dimiliki. Perpustakaan sebagai lembaga yang bertugas dalam upaya peningkatan minat baca perlu melakukan terobosan baru sehingga minat baca masyarakat dapat meningkat. Perpustakaan kafe merupakan perpustakaan yang menggabungkan desain antara perpustakaan dengan kafe dengan tetap mengedepankan tujuan dan peranan perpustakaan. Tujuan pengembangan perpustakaan kafe ini adalah untuk dapat memberikan kesan baru pada perpustakaan berupa tempat yang nyaman, menyenangkan sehingga dapat menarik minat masyarakat untuk berkunjung, membaca koleksi yang tersedia sehingga mampu meningkatkan minat baca, yang akan berpengaruh dalam peningkatan kecerdasan bangsa dan Negara. Ruangan perpustakaan didesain seperti kafe dengan mengutamakan kenyamanan pengunjung serta penyediaan koleksi yang dapat menarik perhatian masyarakat untuk membacanya. Pengembangan perpustakaan kafe perlu memperhatikan lokasi, desain, koleksi, kerjasama dan jenis layanannya. Pengembangan perpustakaan ini merupakan upaya untuk mengoptimalkan tugas pokok dan fungsi dari perpustakaan, meningkatkan minat baca masyarakat serta sebagai media interaksi sosial masyarakat ABSTRACTA lot of problems being faced by the library nowadays. The growth of information and communication technology, and the low interest in reading must be overcome. Low reading interest in today's society is a serious threat being faced by Indonesia. Reading index in Indonesia is still very low and therefore contributes to the quality level of its human resources. Library as an institution in charge of the effort to increase reading interest need to make new breakthroughs for it. Library cafe is a library that combines the design of a library with a café while still promoting the purpose and role of the library. The purpose of developing  a cafe library is to give a new impression of a library as a comfortable and fun place to attract people to visit and read the available collections so as to increase their reading interest, which will take effect in improving national intelligence. Library room is designed like a cafe which emphasizes comfort  for visitor as well as provision of a collection that can attract people to read it. The library café development must take into account  its location, design, collection, cooperation and kinds of services. The development of this library is an attempt to optimize the duties and functions of the library, to increase public interest as well as to serve as a social media of interaction

Pesantren is an oldest education system and considered as an Indonesian cultural product. Along with the change of era that experienced by Indonesian society, pesantren education also has development. With that background, compiler interested to distinguish various models of pesantren in this millennial era. The research method used study literature with a qualitative approach. From this research, can be concluded that the current globalization in the millennial era made its generation not far from the use of technology, the internet, social media and others. This encourages Islamic boarding schools to modernize by looking at the needs of "markets" that require competent human resources. There were many models of millennial Islamic boarding schools. Various developments are carried out, one of them is mastering language, entrepreneurship, ICT (Information and Communication Technology), and other current competencies. This modernization, not only have a positive impact but also problems like pesantren is harder to be able to fulfill its main function, which is to produce tafaquh fiddin people.
