Pada lansia terjadi perubahan neurologis secara fisiologis mengalami penurunan jumlah dan ukuran neuron pada sistem saraf pusat yang mengakibatkan lansia tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan tidur normalnya. Salah satu terapi meningkatkan kualitas tidur pada lansia adalah melakukan pijat tengkuk menggunakan virgin coconut oil . Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pijat tengkuk dengan VCO terhadap kualitas tidur pada lansia. Metode:Desain penelitian yang digunakan pra eksperimental dengan One-group Pretest – Posttest Design, teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non Probability Sampling yaitu dengan purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu, 33 responden dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 15 responden adapun  kriteria inklusi dalam penelitian ini klien dengan gangguan tidur tanpa menggunakan obat penenang atau obat tidur, Klien yang kooperatif dan bersedia menandatangani informed concent, kriteria eksklusi Klien yang memiliki kesadaran composmentis Pelaksanaan penelitian untuk mengukur kualitas tidur diukur dengan Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) dari. pengukuran kualitas tidur lansia dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan intervensi. instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pittsburgh sleep quality index. Intervensi pijat tengkuk dengan Virgin Coconut Oil ini dilakukan 2 kali dalam satu minggu selama 4 minggu. setelah dilakukan uji normalitas data diperoleh hasil 0,28 yang berarti data berdistribusi normal sehingga analisa menggunakan paired T-test.  Hasil:Hasil penelitian menunjukan kualitas tidur pre tes rerata kualitas tidur sebesar 7,9 dengan standar deviasi 1,4 dan post tes didapatkan rerata kualitas tidur sebesar 4,5 dengan standar deviasi 0,83. Berdasarkan analisa data menggunakan uji paired T-test diperoleh nilai p value = 0,000 <α (0.05) yang artinya ada pengaruh pijat tengkuk dengan Virgin Coconut Oil terhadap kualitas tidur pada lansia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, diharapkan lansia dengan masalah kualitas tidur agar rutin melakukan pijat tengkuk dengan VCO  secara teratur dan berkesinambungan. In the elderly, physiological changes occur physiologically decreasing the number and size of neurons in the central nervous system resulting in the elderly unable to meet their normal sleep needs. One of the therapies to improve sleep quality in the elderly is to massage the neck using virgin coconut oil (VCO). This study aims to determine the effect of cervical massage with VCO on sleep quality in the elderly. The research design used was pre-experimental with One-group Pretest - Posttest Design and the number of respondents was 20 people. The results showed sleep quality before being given progressive muscle relaxation therapy obtained an average sleep quality of 7.9 with a standard deviation of 1.4 and after being given progressive muscle relaxation a mean sleep quality of 4.5 with a standard deviation of 0.83. Based on data analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, p value = 0,000 <α (0.05) is obtained, which means there is an effect of nape massage with VCO on sleep quality in the elderly. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that the elderly with sleep quality problems can routinely perform neck massage with VCO regularly and continuously.

Kualita stidur adalah suatu keadaan tidur yang dijalani seseorang yang menghasilkan kesegaran/ kebugaran saat terbangun. Dampak karena kualitas tidur yang buruk adalah stres yang meningkat dan sering lupa. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan 86,4% lansia mengalami kualitas tidur yang buruk dan 13,6% memiliki kualitas tidur yang baik di Balai Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha pada tahun 2018. Salah satu penatalaksanaan untuk meningkatkan kualitas tidur adalah dengan melafalkan dzikir. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh melafalkan dzikir terhadap kualitas tidur lansia di Balai Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive samplingdenganjumlah 21 responden yang sesuaidengankriteriainkulsidanekslusi. Intervensi dilakukan selama 7 hari berturut-turut. Evaluasi skor kualitas tidur menggunakan kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Analisa bivariate denga nmenggunakan uji paired t test. Hasil penelitian rerata kualitas tidur pada pengukuran pretest lebih tinggi (7,00) dibandingkan dengan rerata postest (5,90), yang memiliki arti bahwa kualitas tidur lansia setelah melakukan dzikir menjadi lebih baik.Hasil dari analisis ujipaired t testpengaruh melafalkan dzikir terhadap kualitas tidur lansia didapatkan nilai signifikan dengan p-value = 0,000 (α<0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh antara dzikir dengan kualitas tidur. Kata kunci: melafalkan dzikir, kualitas tidur, lansia THE EFFECT OF RECITING DHIKR ON THE QUALITY OF ELDERLY SLEEP ABSTRACTSleep quality is a state of sleep by someone who produces freshness or fitness when awakened. Poor sleep quality will have an impact on the body of the elderly. Impact because of poor sleep quality is increased stress and often forgets. The results of the research conducted showed that 86.4% of the elderly experienced poor sleep quality and 13.6% had good sleep quality at the TresnaWerdha Social Service Center on 2018. One of the management to improve the quality of sleep is to recite dzikir. The purpose of the study was to identify the effect of reciting dhikr on the quality of elderly sleep in the Tresna Werdha Social Service Center.This research method uses a quasi experiment design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 21 respondents who were in accordance with the criteria for inclusion and exclusion. The intervention was carried out for 7 consecutive days. Sleep quality score evaluation using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using paired t test. The results of the average sleep quality at pretest measurements were higher (7.00) compared to the posttest average (5.90), which means that the quality of elderly sleep after doing dhikr is better. The results of the paired t test analysis of the effect of reciting dhikr on the quality of elderly sleep obtained a significant value with p-value = 0,000 (α <0.05). Gangguan  pemenuhan  kebutuhan tidur sering kali menjadi masalah yang dialami lanjut usia sehingga mengalami penurunan kualitas tidur. Menurunnya kualitas tidur bagi lansia yang tidak ditangani dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya permasalahan lain seperti gangguan memori dan mood, depresi, resiko terjatuh, hingga menurunnya kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan relaksasi otot progresif terhadap kualitas tidur lansia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Minaula Kendari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre Experimental Design dengan pendekatan one group pre test-post test design. Populasi adalah seluruh lansia yang terdaftar di Panti sosial Tresna Werdha Minaula tahun 2017 sebanyak 95 orang dan sampel 49 orang, data diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner dan di uji menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kualitas tidur lansia sebelum latihan relaksasi otot progresif diperoleh rata-rata skor 6,18 dan setelah dilakukan relaksasi otot progresif diperoleh rata-rata skor 3,84. Hasil analisis statistik diperoleh nilai p value < 0,001. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh latihan relaksasi otot progresif terhadap kualitas tidur lansia di panti sosial Tresna Werdha Minaula Kendari.   Kata kunci: relaksasi otot progresif, kualitas tidur, lansia PROGRESSIVE MUSCLE RELAXATION EXERCISE ON QUALITY OF ELDERLY SLEEP   ABSTRACT Disorders of meeting the needs of sleep are often problems experienced by the elderly resulting in decreased sleep quality. Decreased quality of sleep for the elderly who are not treated can lead to other problems such as impaired memory and mood, depressed, the risk of falling, to decreased quality of life. This study aims to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation exercises on the quality of elderly sleep at Tresna Werdha Minaula institution Kendari. This research is Pre Experimental Design with one group pre-test-post test design. Population is all elderly registered in Tresna Werdha Minaula year 2017 were 95 people and sample 49 people, data obtained using questionnaire and tested using wilcoxon sign rank test. The results showed that the elderly sleep quality before progressive muscle relaxation exercise obtained an average score of 3.84 and after progressive muscle relaxation obtained an average score of 6.18. The result of statistical analysis obtained p value <0,001. ABSTRACT  Insomnia sleep disorders that distrupt a person’s concentrartion causing insomnia or insufficient sleep, resulting in inefficient sleep. Cause stress if it continues to have an impact on anxiety, headaches, sexual decline in men, worsening vision, lack of concentration, fatigue, and anemia (Suci, 2014). The aim is to find out whether there is a relationship between progressive muscle relaxation exercises and sleep quality in the elderly at the Guna Budi Bakti Medan Foundation in 2020. This research uses quasy experiment method and uses one grub pretest posttest design, which uses two sample groups be interviewed before (pretest) and after (posttest) by filling out the questionnaire. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon signedrank test, that the value of Z = -4,256ᵇ with a p value of 0,000 <0.05, the Ha is accepted and the Ho is rejected. It was concluded that there was an improvement in the quality of sleep in the elderly by doing progressive muscle relaxation exercises. Hopefully this research can improve the quality of nurses working in institutions capable of applying progressive muscle relaxation exercises in the elderly. Menyebabkan stres apabila berkelanjutan berdampak pada kecemasan, sakit kepala, penurunan seksual pada pria, penglihatan memburuk, tidak konsentrasi, mudah lelah, dan anemia (Suci, 2014). Tujuan untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan latihan relaksasi otot progresif dengan kualitas tidur pada lansia di Yayasan Guna Budi  Bakti Medan tahun 2020”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasy Eksperiment dan memakai rancangan One Group Pretest Posttest, yaitu menggunakan 2 kelompok sampel diwawancara sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (possttest) dengan mengisi kuisioner (Soekijo Notoatmojo,2017).Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan wilcoxon signedrank test, bahwa nilai Z=-4.256ᵇ dengan nilai p value 0,000 <0,05 maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kualitas tidur pada lanjut usia dengan melakukan latihan relaksasi otot progresif. Semoga penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas perawat yang bekerja di panti mampu mengaplikasikan latihan relaksasi otot progresif pada lansia.

Patients with hypertension patients can have sleep disorders such as dizziness or headache,. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of spiritual emotional freedom tehnique (SEFT) and progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) on sleep quality in patients with hypertension in South Cilacap City. The research used quasi-experiment with two group pre-post test group. Respondents were patients with hypertension, with the criteria forthose who were active in health care programme, able to perform independent activities, consume of anti-hypertensive drugs, have done SEFT and PMR regularly for 7 days. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality twice, before and 7 days after interventions SEFT. Statistic analysis used Mann-Whitney test. 32 respondents included in the criteria. The quality of sleep before treatment SEFT was 43.8% poor, 56.3% very bad. After treatment SEFT was 25% rather good, 75% less good. The quality of sleep before treatment PMR was 43.8% poor, 56.3% very bad. After treatment PMR was 18.8% rather good, 81.3% less good. The analysis shown the sleep quality was difference between SEFT and PMR after intervention with p-value 0.002. The study shows there is difference between SEFT and PMR after intervention in hypertensive patients in South Cilacap

Background: Sleep is one part of physiological needs and it is a basic need which is needed by all humans to be able to function optimally. However, the elderly will often experience sleep disorders. Sleep disorders in the elderly will affect the quality of sleep. One of nursing intervention that can improve the elderly sleeping quality is progressive muscle relaxation therapy. This study aims to determine the differences of sleep quality before and after having progressive muscle relaxation therapy toward the elderly with sleep disorders.Methods: This research was conducted at the Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Social Home, Sicincin in 2019. The research was conducted for 2 weeks with one-week intervention. This research is a Quasy experiment using one group pre-test and post-test without control group design approach. This study used the sample of 16 respondents taken by purposive sampling. The analysis of data uses dependent T-test with a significance level of 95% (α 0.05).Results: The results of the study found that the average sleep quality of the elderly before being given the intervention was 13.63 and after the intervention it became 8.44 with p value of 0.000.Conclusions: The results showed that there were significant differences before and after the intervention. For this reason, it is recommended for the elderly with sleep disorders to be able to do progressive muscle relaxation therapy to improve sleep quality.

Physiological changes in the elderly can cause a change in the neural system that is a disorder towards sleep quality while changes in the musculoskeletal system are the occurrence of muscle strength decline. Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy is a therapy which can improve sleep quality and muscle strength. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy towards muscle strength and sleep quality of the elderly at House Technical Implementation. The research type used is quasi-experiment design with pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research were all elderly as many as 40 elderly people. The sampling technique used was Total Sampling which was then divided into intervention group which consists of 20 respondents and control group which consists of 20 respondents. The measurement tool used was PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) questionnaire for sleep quality and the MMT (Manual Muscle Testing) observation sheet for muscle strength. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) on sleep quality in patients with hypertension in South Cilacap City. Method : The research used quasi-experiment with pre-post test without control group. Respondents werw patients with hypertension in South Cilacap City, with the criteria forthose who were active in health care programme, able to perform independent activities, consume of anti-hypertensive drugs, have done PMR regularly for 7 days, and the exclusion criteria was patients with impaired osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality twice, before and 7 days after interventions PMR. Statistic analysis used wilcoxon test. 16 respondents included in the criteria. Result : The quality of sleep before treatment PMR was 7 people (43.8%) poor, 9 people (56.3%) very bad. After treatment PMR was 3 people (18.8%) rather good, 13 people (81.3%) less good. The analysis shown the sleep quality was difference between before and after PMR with p-value <0.001. Discussion : The study shows there is difference between before and after PMR in hypertensive patients in South Cilacap. PMR can be used to improve the sleep quality of hypertensive patients.

ABSTRACT : THE EFFECT OF PROGRESSIVE MUSCLE RELAXATION TECHNIQUES ON SLEEP QUALITY AND PHYSICAL FATIGUE IN THE ELDERLY AT THE FOUNDATION GUNA BUDI BAKTI MEDAN Background: The elderly experience various health problems, one of which is sleep disturbance and physical fatigue. The elderly require handling sleep problems so that optimal sleep needs are met. Ways to improve sleep quality and physical fatigue are progressive muscle relaxation that can overcome or reduce anxiety, reduce pain, reduce muscle and bone tension.Purpose: This study aims to know the effect of progressive muscle relaxation techniques on sleep quality and physical fatigue of the elderly at the Guna Budi Bakti Foundation in Medan.Methods: This research uses quantitative with a quasi-experimental design through the one group pre-test and a post-test design approach. The time of the study was in May 2020. The population is all elderly. The sampling technique uses a saturated sampling technique and a sample of 73 people. Data collection methods used in the form of questionnaires and observation sheets. Univariate data analysis is displayed in the frequency distribution table, and bivariate with statistics using paired t-test. Results: The results of the study get the majority aged 61-80 years, female gender, self-employed work, and Buddhism. Data results before the majority intervention of sleep quality are less, and physical fatigue is high. After majority intervention of sleep quality is sufficient, and physical fatigue is low. The effect of progressive muscle relaxation techniques on sleep quality and physical fatigue of the elderly, using the paired t-test obtained sig values. Analisa data univariat ditampilkan dalam tabel distribusi frekuensi, dan bivariat dengan statistik menggunakan uji paired t- test.Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan mayoritas berusia 61-80 tahun, berjenis kelamin perempuan, pekerjaan wiraswasta, dan beragama Budha. Hasil data sebelum intervensi mayoritas kualitas tidur kurang, dan kelelahan fisik tinggi. Setelah intervensi mayoritas kualitas tidur cukup, dan kelelahan fisik rendah. Pengaruh teknik relaksasi otot progresif terhadap kualitas tidur dan kelelahan fisik lansia, menggunakan uji paired t- test didapatkan nilai sig. ABSTRACT  Background: During pregnancy, pregnant women will experience a variety of changes in reproduction that are physiological and sometimes pathological. Sleep difficulties are generally more common in early pregnancy. Then this sleepless complaint will reappear at the end of pregnancy. Persistent sleep disorders will interfere with the physical and psychological pregnant women.                Purpose of this study is to know the effect of back massage on sleep quality of trimester III pregnant women  Methods: Research type experimental research, design pre experiment designs with one group pretest posttest design. Population in this research is trimester mother III at BPM Tiara Iswantika Wonosari District of Pekalongan Regency of East Lampung year 2018, sample taken counted 29 people with purposive sampling technique. Analysis in this research use paired sample t test.Results of statistical tests showed that the mean maternal sleep quality score on the measurement result using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire before (pretest) the back massage intervention was 6,28±1,461 and after (posttest) the back massage intervention was 5, 03±1,349 with an mean difference of 1,241±0,739. In result of paired sample t test showed back massage proved to have an effect on to sleep quality of pregnant woman trimester III (p-value 0,000 <a0,05). Kesimpulan: Dengan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan ibu hamil dapat melakukan terapi back massage untuk menurunkan ketegangan, merileksasi tubuh dan meningkatkan kualitas tidur.Saran Saat ini masih belum ada penyuluhan terkait back massage maka hendaknya bagi tenaga kesehatan dapat memberikan penyuluhan back massage kepada ibu hamil karena back massage telah menjadi bagian dari terapi penunjang dalam bidang kesehatan untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan terutama dalam meningkatkan kualitas tidur ibu hamil. Kata Kunci : Kualitas tidur, back massage

<p><em>Bad sleep quality causes fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and often drowsiness in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of aroma of lavender therapy on the quality of elderly sleep at Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang. This type of research is quantitative with pre-experimental design using One Group Pretest-Posttest Design design using T-test dependent test. Sampling technique in this research use purposive sampling 30 responden as intervention group. The research to do in Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang. The results of the study found that all elderly (100%) had poor sleep quality before lavender aromatherapy and only 40% experienced poor sleep quality after lavender therapy. The statistical test obtained p value = 0.000, where there is influence of lavender therapy to sleep quality of elderly in Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang. The smell of lavender therapy can improve the quality of elderly sleep. Officer Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang in order to provide lavender therapy every 2 times / week at bedtime so as to improve the quality of elderly sleep.</em></p><p> </p><p>Kualitas tidur buruk menyebabkan kelelahan, sulit berkonsentrasi, dan sering mengantuk pada lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aroma terapi lavender terhadap kualitas tidur lansia di Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain preekperimental menggunakan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design menggunakan uji T-test dependent. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling 30 responden sebagai kelompok intervensi. Penelitian dilakukan di Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan seluruh lansia (100%) mengalami kualitas tidur yang buruk sebelum diberikan aromaterapi lavender dan hanya 40% yang mengalami kualitas tidur buruk sesudah diberikan aroma terapi lavender. Uji statistik didapatkan nilai p= 0,000, dimana terdapat pengaruh terapi lavender terhadap kualitas tidur lansia di Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang. Aroma terapi lavender dpat meningkatkan kualitas tidur lansia. Petugas Wisma Cinta Kasih Padang agar dapat memberikan terapi lavender setiap 2 kali/ minggu saat menjelang tidur sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas tidur lansia.</p>
