Diabetes mellitus (Dm) is a disease associated with impaired immune function so it is more susceptible to get infections including Tuberculosis (Tb). Tb disease can also worsen blood sugar levels which can cause Dm disease. This study aims to analyze and determine the stability of the equilibrium point of the spread of Tb disease in patients with Dm with consideration nine compartments, which are susceptible Tb without Dm, susceptible Tb without Dm complication, susceptible Tb with Dm complication, expose Tb without Dm, expose Tb with Dm, infected Tb without Dm, infected Tb with Dm, recovered Tb without Dm, and recovered Tb with Dm with treatment factors. The result obtained from the analysis of the model is two equilibrium points, which are the non endemic and endemic equilibrium points. The endemic equilibrium point does not exist if , endemic will appear if . Analytical and numerical simulation show that the spread of disease can be reduced and stopped if treatment is given to the infected compartment.

The condition of high and uncontrolled high blood sugar levels in Diabetes Mellitus patients increases the risk of other diseases, such as; heart attacks, strokes, blindness, kidney failure, gangrene, and even death. Various studies state that there is a relationship between Murottal Al-Qur'an therapy with the stability of blood sugar. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of Murottal Al-Qur'an on Blood Sugar Levels of Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Rasyidin District Hospital, Padang City in 2019. Interventions were conducted during August until September 2019. The population was inpatients diagnosed with Type 2 DM in RSUD Dr. Rasyidin Padang at the time of the study. A sample of 32 people consisted of a case group (given Murottal Al-Quran therapy) and a control group, each with 16 people. Data collection was carried out through observation and examination of blood sugar before and after the intervention. Data were tested by paired sample T-test. The results showed that there were differences in blood sugar levels at both the case and control groups before and after the intervention. The average blood sugar level of the patient in the case group was more controlled, namely 173.94 mg / dl (GDS <200) compared to the control group, namely 226.69 mg / dl (GDS> 200 mg / dl). Murottal Al-Quran therapy can be used as an alternative to maintain blood sugar stability for people with diabetes.

AbstractDiabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the comorbidities most susceptible to COVID-19 infection. The morbidity and mortality rates for diabetic patients who are infected with COVID-19 are also very high. This is related to blood sugar levels, immunity, and DM complications. The study aimed to describe DM as a comorbid of COVID-19. The study applied a scoping review method, by searching for articles through PubMed and ProQuest. The inclusion criteria are articles published in 2019-2021, and the respondents are diabetic patients. The results show that the average age of diabetic patients who infected COVID-19 was 64.24 years old, and mostly (52.7%) were female. Type 2 DM is most infected compared to other types of DM. The ACE-2 receptor owned by DM patients is the entry point for the SARS-CoV-2 virus into the human body. Blood glucose levels are a factor in the severity of COVID-19 patients with DM. Moreover, it is necessary to consider the administration of antidiabetics in the setting of COVID-19 related to the risk of hypoglycemia or other side effects. The progression of COVID-19 in patients with co-morbidities of diabetes mellitus is influenced by the stability of blood glucose levels and length of suffering. Therefore, it is recommended to monitor blood sugar levels regularly. For diabetic patients, it is advisable to always maintain health protocols because hyperglycemia conditions can stimulate chronic inflammation and weaken the immunity system against infection. Keywords: Comorbid, COVID-19, Diabetes Mellitus, Scoping Review AbstrakDiabetes mellitus (DM) merupakan salah satu penyakit penyerta yang paling rentan terinfeksi COVID-19.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease that is a problem in public health. DM is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia (an increase in serum glucose levels) due to lack of the hormone insulin, decreased effect of insulin and or both. Diet or diet is an important determinant that determines obesity and insulin resistance, so the provision of health education is a way to maintain the stability of insulin in DM clients. This case study aims to get an overview of the implementation of health education in improving the eating habits of DM clients. The method used is descriptive in the form of case studies with the criteria that the subject is a family with diabetes mellitus health problems through health education intervention about diet. The results of the case study showed that there was a decrease in blood sugar levels, good motivation of the families in implementing the DM diet, and behavioral changes by 76% (good category) in subject I, as far as subject II behavior change was 80% (good category ) Based on the results of this case study it is expected that nurses through health cadres are able to monitor the implementation of DM diet in families with optimal DM health problems.
