Tongging Hotel Resort With Neo Vernacular Approach

Indonesian’s nature has a combination of a tropical climate and is the largest and most island nation in the world. Indonesia also has many natural tourism sites that are already well-known abroad. One of them is Lake Toba. Lake Toba is the largest and deepest lake in Southeast Asia. These tourist attractions are also supported by a cultural heritage that is rich with many tribes and customs that spread throughout Indonesia. Resort hotels are one of the supporting facilities in the tourist area. The design of the Tongging resort hotel raises the theme of neo vernacular. The problem posed was "How to design Resort Hotels using the neo-vernacular architectural approach?". Using the neo-vernacular school aims to arouse the culture and customs of the environment. Because we know the Tongging area is a Batak tribe area, which is a very thick tribe with traditions and customs. The resort hotel design Tongging is designed using ornamentation and formations, which are more directed to the Siwaluh Jabu traditional house by using qualitative methods because it is rational and planned precisely with the location of the site. Tongging resort hotel can be a resort hotel that does not leave the local culture and can become an icon in the hope that it can still preserve the existing customs or culture.

Jatiluwih Tourism Attraction as part of the World Cultural Heritage is a tourist product consumed by tourists. Perception of tourists is important to be studied as a reference in the management of tourist attractions. Data collection techniques using survey methods are used to determine tourists' perception of Jatiluwih Tourism Attraction as part of the World Cultural Heritage. Questionnaires are used as research instruments to obtain information from tourists. After the data is collected, then the measurement is done using the Likert Scale. In determining the number of tourist samples used Slovin formula. Based on Slovin formula with a tolerance limit of 5%, the number of samples for foreign tourists as many as 204 people, and the number of samples for domestic tourists as many as 52 people. The total sample count was 256 people. Domestic and foreign tourists give the highest perception of employment opportunities for the community from the management of tourist attractions. Good perception of tourists is also given to the friendliness of the staff in providing service, naturalness and beauty of the scenery around the tourist attraction. The perception of tourists is not good given to the price of souvenirs, ease of access to the internet, availability of souvenirs with local characteristics, and smooth traffic around tourist attractions.

Many countries that have unique local gastronomy cultures develop and promote their regions for the purpose of economic effects for regional development instruments and to protect and sustain local culture and meet the demands of today's tourists. For the purpose of security and providing the sustainability of local culture diversities in the world, national and international organizations register and put under protection the local gastronomy assets. This occurs in various proportions. In order to compete with regional tourism, a variety of tourist attractions should be developed. Turkish cuisine one of three top cuisines in the world. The aim of this chapter is to emphasize the importance of marketing strategy on social media for the traditional Turkish cuisine and Turkish cultural cuisine.

Lake Toba is the largest lake in Indonesia, even in Southeast Asia. Lake Toba has excellent potential as a tourism area development in North Sumatra. On the outskirts of Lake Toba, especially Paropo, there are still many who do not have facilities for tourists, the large number of tourists who come to Paropo causes the Paropo area to need supporting facilities such as resort hotels as supporters of North Sumatra tourism development. Resort hotels are hotels located in tourist attractions, such as mountains, beaches, and lakes. The design of the Paropo resort hotel applies the Neo vernacular architectural concept. The problem with this design is "how to apply the neo vernacular architectural concept to the design of a resort hotel." The purpose of applying the concept of Neo vernacular architecture in buildings is one of the efforts so that it is inseparable from the surrounding culture and can also introduce regional culture to the tourists who come. Designing this resort hotel uses qualitative methods. This resort hotel brings the theme of Neo vernacular architecture that combines traditional Dairi/Pak-Pak architecture with modern architecture, where physical elements are applied/changed but also non-physical items such as cultural values, mindset, beliefs, layout, religion, etc. into the form of buildings and site design. The benefit of designing this resort hotel is the creation of resort hotels that can still preserve the elements of local culture with a layer of modernization and, if built, can develop the tourism area of Paropo to attract tourists.

Tuktuk Siadong located on Samosir Island has amazing natural potential and cultural characteristics that make Tuktuk one of the favorite destinations of tourists. To fulfill the growth and needs of tourists in Tuktuk anaccommodation in the form of a Resort Hotel is needed. This design begins with a literature study and is followed by a field survey to produce the data needed ina design concept. These concepts produced a Resort Hotel design themed Neo-Vernacular Architecture that developed the basic principles of Batak Toba architecture and applied them in design. Resort hotels that are designed to be lodging accommodations that have supporting facilities to serve tourists who come.

This study aims to know the development of halal tourism in Indonesia and how it affects the economic growth in Indonesia. Halal travel destinations are tourist attractions that provide Muslim friendly facilities from serving food, supporting environments such as halal hotel facilities, places of prayer, and non-halal products for sale in halal tourism areas. In the Qur'an, Allah S.W.T writes, go to historical places and take lessons from your journey. This study uses qualitative methods with data obtained from the results of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), GMTI, and the World Halal Travel and Tourism Index. The results obtained in this study found that halal tourism shows positive results and positive responses from domestic and foreign tourists, this can be seen from the data obtained by increasing GDP and top 10 halal tourism in OIC countries and many foreign tourists coming and enjoy halal tourist attractions that already exist in Indonesia. This can encourage the central government to immediately make halal tourism legislation in Indonesia, so that the halal tourism sector in Indonesia can be promoted and famous in the world Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perkembangan pariwisata halal di Indonesia dan bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Destinasi wisata halal adalah tempat wisata yang menyediakan fasilitas Musmil friendly dari penyajian makanan, lingkunan yang mendukung seperti fasilitas hotel halal, tempat ibadah, dan juga tidak ada produk-produk non halal yang dijual didaerah wisata halal. Didalam Al-Qurán Allah S.W.T menuliskan berpergianlah kalian ke tempat-tempat bersejarah dan ambilah pelajaran dari perjalanan yang kalian lakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan data yang diperoleh dari hasil Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), GMTI, dan World Halal Travel and Tourism Index. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah bahwa pariwisata halal menunjukkan hasil yang positif dan respon yang baik dari wistawan domestik maupun mancanegara, hal ini dapat dilihat dari data yang diperoleh dengan peningkatan GDP dan top 10 pariwisata hala di negara OIC dan banyak wisatawan mancanegara yang datang dan menikmati tempat wisata halal yang sudah ada di Indonesia. Hal ini dapat mendorong Pemerintah pusat untuk segera membuat perundang-undangan pariwisata halal di Indonesia, agar sector pariwisata halal di Indonesia dapat dipromosikan dan dapat dikenal di Dunia.

Various attempts have been made to achieve the goals of the management of Jatiluwih Tourist Attractions as part of the World Cultural Heritage, but there are some obstacles in its implementation. This research aims to develop strategies and programs in the management of sustainable Jatiluwih Tourist Attraction as part of the World Cultural Heritage. This study used qualitative methods supported by quantitative data through the use of Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis. Data collection was conducted through interviews, Focus Group Discussion, and document studies. The ISM (expert survey) questionnaire as a research instrument was used to obtain information about the contextual relations of each element in the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis involving 11 experts. The results of the study indicate that the management of Jatiluwih Tourist Attraction as part of the World Cultural Heritage requires strategies and programs for sustainability. The formulated strategies are management more structured to increase tourist visits and improve community welfare; increasing the competence of human resources to increase participation; infrastructure development and diversification of tourism products; and increasing support for the preservation of cultural heritage sites through increase community awareness, land use policies, and the involvement of all stakeholders. Programs are formulated based on the strategies set.

Resort hotels are hotels built on tourist attractions, mountains, beaches, and lakes. In this design, there is a problem, namely the Contour site, located at an altitude of 1675 masl; there is a very diverse local wisdom. The purpose of this hotel development course is as an accommodation facility from tourist activity, developing the Simalem Park area, preserving the local wisdom of North Sumatra. This resort hotel not only provides accommodation facilities, but it also has elements of local wisdom from seven tribes in North Sumatra. Of the seven tribes in North Sumatra, ethnic characteristics are designed as facades or ornaments, as a way to support sustainability and appreciate the local wisdom in North Sumatra. The theme is Respect To The Traditions which functions to revitalize local wisdom with a more visible appearance. Modern but do not forget the rules that existed in the past, as a design methodology. The results of this design were built in One Tree Hill resort hotel. This design was made as an analysis, concept, and solution for Simalem Park managers who planned to build a resort hotel in One Tree Hill.

With a tourism development discourse in Lake Toba, North Sumatra, the tourism minister is targeting up to 1 million tourists to visit Lake Toba in 2019. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a stay and relaxation that can support tourist activities in Lake Toba. At the moment there is no housing to stay and relax at the same time at Balige. Therefore, it is necessary to design a house to rest and relax in there. The Resort hotels in the Balige Nature Tourism Area are expected to be a destination for local and foreign tourists. The Resort Hotels in the Balige Nature Tourism Area are using the concept of "Ecological Architecture,’ where with the presence of this resort hotel the balance of nature and relationships between human, environment, and building are maintained in balance. The design of “Resort Hotel in The Balige Nature Tourism Area” is needed research to get an optimal design. Then, on the design of the project used a qualitative methodology. Resort Hotel Design in the Balige Nature Tourism Area can fulfill human needs for vacationing, relax and resting from all the daily activities in the city. The design of resort hotels can also support government programs that promote tourism in the area of Lake Toba.

Not only provide container, but gave the tourist attractions in batik. So, traveled as well as learn about batik. Containers to be built covers several activities related to batik. Batik is not only in terms of clothing, batik can be applied to the world of architecture such as the application forms of the motif into the building. Implementation into the building that is the basic form, the skin and the elements in buildings. The issue is how to design a form Sentra Batik design by applying the concept of Local Wisdom, which raises the shape of the building with a mix of local culture and foreign culture.
