Wine tourism destinations are growing in popularity not only for wine tasting experiences but also for the wineries' aesthetic and authentic rural appeal, which are increasingly valued and sought-after by a wider range of wine tourist markets. This study suggests and tests an empirical model where both various servicescape dimensions (i.e. physical environment, facilities, and personnel interaction) and perceived level of authenticity (i.e. object-based authenticity and existential authenticity) are considered as determinants of wine tourists' satisfaction and different types of behavioural intentions.Specifically, multiple regression analysis was conducted on a sample of 267 valid questionnaires collected from winery visitors in the region of Sardinia in 2015. Theoretical and managerial contributions on how to design and manage wine tourism experiences for wine tourist markets are discussed, and suggestions for future research are given.

Canada is unusual among advanced industrial democracies in having some provinces which regularly have greater voter turnouts for provincial than for federal elections. Provincial and federal turnouts by province in Canada are analyzed for the 1945-1998 period using multiple regression analysis, both for each set of elections and by comparing differences between the two. Federal turnout has declined over the years but provincial turnout appears to have increased slightly. Although the effects found here largely confirm previous findings about the relative effects of different types of variables found for the Canadian federal level only, several of the political explanations previously supported in cross-national research find less support. Instead, region, population density, months since the last federal or provincial election, and season of the year generally have greater and sometimes more consistent effects. This suggests the need for more studies of turnout in democracies at sub-central levels.

The present study attempts to provide empirical evidence on the relationship between the four facets of entrepreneurial supports and rural entrepreneurs business performance. The entrepreneurial supports considered in the study are entrepreneurship training, marketing support, business networking, and financial support. A survey among 183 rural entrepreneurs was carried out. Self-reported measures were used to obtain data pertaining to government entrepreneurial initiatives and rural entrepreneurs’ business performance. The multiple regression analysis was used to ascertain the proposed relationships and it was found that all entrepreneurial initiatives such as entrepreneurship training, marketing support, business networking and financial support were significantly related to business performance. Discussion on the findings is highlighted, so as the implications for practice and future research. Towards the end, the paper also highlights limitations of the study that could be taken into consideration by future scholars for further empirical enrichment.

The author predicts that the interaction between individual- and team-level autonomy influences team performance and that their combined effects are contingent on the level of task interdependence. Multiple regression analysis of data from 89 teams in a manufacturing setting confirm these expectations, demonstrating that team performance depends on the combination of individual and team autonomy. These findings suggest that the optimal combination of individual and team autonomy depends on the level of task interdependence in a team. Implications for future research, particularly in the areas of cross-level analyses and contingency theory, are discussed as well.

Research on leadership has suggested a possible relationship between style of leadership and being able to understand the viewpoints of others. The present investigation sought to determine the relationship between two measures of empathy and style of leadership. 127 undergraduate students, participating in small groups, were given Hobart and Fahlberg's predictive empathy measure, Barrett-Lennard's Relationship Inventory (perceived empathy), and Fiedler's Least Preferred Co-worker Scale (leadership style). A multiple regression analysis indicated that predictive empathy was a significant but moderate predictor of style while perceived empathy was not a significant predictor. The results were discussed in terms of future research and theory building.

This study was investigated by using multiple regression analysis method. The sample of this research is purposive sampling with total 6 years observation. The result of the research shows that SOEs conduct earnings management policy in two years before IPO and two years after IPO by income increasing. In order to get generalized results future research can use all listed state-owned enterprises until 2016, which is 20 companies with five years-period before and after going public.

We examined the moderating effect of team internal social capital in the relationships among professional heterogeneity, experience heterogeneity, and thinking heterogeneity (3 dimensions of knowledge heterogeneity) and team knowledge sharing. The study sample comprised 149 teams of employees of companies in China. Results of a multiple regression analysis showed that professional heterogeneity, experience heterogeneity, and thinking heterogeneity all had a significantly positive effect on knowledge sharing. Further analysis demonstrated that internal social capital moderated the effect of experience heterogeneity on knowledge sharing, as well as that of thinking heterogeneity on knowledge sharing. Implications of our findings and future research directions are discussed.

The main purpose of the current study was to examine how the coach-athlete working alliance, psychological resilience and perceived stress are uniquely associated with burnout among junior athletes in sport. A sample of 670 Norwegian junior athletes practicing a variety of sports participated in the study. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that the bond dimension of the working alliance, the protective factors ‘planned future’ and ‘structured style’, as well as perceived stress, all contributed uniquely to the explanation of athlete burnout. A dominance analysis identified perceived stress to have the strongest relative influence on athlete burnout among the set of variables investigated in this study. The findings are discussed in terms of applied implications and possible future research.

Research suggests that gaming can play an important role in dealing with life difficulties, but few studies have examined this directly. Building on recent research, the current study set out to develop a measure of gaming in difficult life situations (GDLS) and explored the role of emotion regulation and coping self-efficacy as predictors of this behaviour. A total of 667 gamers completed the online survey. Initial analyses demonstrated validity and reliability of the GDLS scale (α = .92), with players turning to gaming as a distraction from life difficulties, to feel a sense of achievement, to connect with others, and for in-game connection and simulation. Multiple regression analysis showed that younger age, more time spent gaming in general, and lower coping self-efficacy predicted GDLS, but emotion regulation was non-significant. The study presents novel insights and a new measure for future research in this area.

The purpose of this quantitative research was to identify whether there were correlations between U.S. automobile consumers’ perceived value and South Korean automobiles’ price, quality, fuel efficiency, design, and technologies. The sample size of the current study was 538. A questionnaire was used to collect data from automobile consumers in 50 states and in the District of Columbia. The results show that consumers’ perceived value were positively related to South Korean automobiles’ price, quality, fuel efficiency, design, and technologies. The result of a multiple regression analysis shows that South Korean automobiles’ quality, fuel efficiency, design, and technologies were significant predictors of consumers’ perceived value. On the other hand, price was only a marginally significant predictor of consumers’ perceived value. In the second multiple regression analysis which considers the participants’ gender, age, education level, and income level, results indicated that none of the four variables had any effect on consumers’ perceived value. Implications for South Korean automobiles’ pricing, quality control, and manufacturing strategy are discussed. Directions for future research are also proposed.
