The purpose of this work was to study the main factor of breeding – the quality of stallions. The material for research was a database and catalogues of stallions of the Novoalexandrovsky draft breed, allowed for breeding use. The pedigrees of stallions for 5 rows of ancestors were analysed, linear combinations were established (stallion line × mare line), as well as the presence of inbreeding to the V degree. The genealogical structure of the breed is determined, and promising line continuers are identified. Analysis of linear facilities evaluated sires showed that 8 of them belong to the line (1390) Tantal (57,0 %) and three stallion lines (935) Koketlivy (21,5 %) and (909) Gradus (21.5 %). All rated stallions have complex inbreeding in moderate and remote degrees, mainly on Tantal, Koketlivy, Velbot. Analysis of breeding methods for stallions revealed that only one stallion was obtained in an intra-linear combination (1390) of Tantal, the rest were obtained in inter-linear combinations: (1390) Tantal × (909) Gradus (3 stallions), (1390) Tantal × (109) Gazon (3 stallions), (935) Koketlivy × (909) Gradus (2 stallions) and one stallion in combinations: (1390) Tantal × (200) Captain, (935) Koketlivy × (109) Gazon, (909) Gradus × (1390) Tantal, (909) Gradus × (596) Podenshhik, (909) Gradus × (200) Captain. An assessment of the dynamics of the number of breeding stallions in genealogical lines over the 25-year period of breeding work with the Novoalexandrovsky draft breed in Ukraine found a catastrophic reduction in the number of breeding stallions and narrowing the genealogical structure to three lines, while at the time of testing, the breed was structured into 9 genealogical lines. By comparing the exterior of stallions of different lines, that all of the representatives are typical of the heavy body structure, such as: strong constitution, small type head, long neck with an expressive crest, broad chest, long body, medium length of back and loin, correct length and slope of croup, well developed muscles. The limbs are strong with a sufficient circumference of the pastern but with disadvantages of structure: there are different hooves, stretch legs, sabre, clubfoot. The largest stallions by all sizes belong to the line (935) of the Koketlivy (p≤0.05) Thus, it is established that the reproduction composition of the Novoalexandrovsky draft breed is completed with standard stallions-producers of the three most promising genealogical lines. However, the negative dynamics of the population and the narrowing of the genealogical structure pose can be a significant threat to the disappearance of the last remnants of the breed.

The topic of this article is quality of life and ageing process specially focused on today young generations and their coming retirement situation. The main idea is that quality of life is increasing, that means longer, safer and better living condition; consequently positive ageing processes mean also reforming retirement sector. The hypothesis carried out in this paper is an alternative one. Despite of the positive trends, we describe how three main factor of nowadays life are, on the contrary, turning into worse condition the future of young generations and their coming life situation. Firstly we consider the socio-economic aspects, the impact on health and the implications connected with precarious work. Secondly we consider pollution and its effects on health, life quality and life expectation. Thirdly we pay attention about climate and environmental change and their effect on health, life quality and expectation. In conclusion, the retirement future of today young generations may be very different (worse) than expected. The paper in based on WHO, IPCC and European Agency for Safety and Health at Work data and reports.Key words: Young generations; Coming quality of life; Population ageing and future of retirement question.Parole chiave: Giovani generazioni; Qualitŕ della vita; Invecchiamento della popolazione e pensioni.

The main factor of determining the level of sanitary and hygienic indicators of the quality of milk produced is the hygiene of milking cows. The study of the role of hygiene of milking is of great importance for a correct understanding of the ways of solving the problem of obtaining high quality milk. Special attention of scientists and practitioners in recent years are focused on the development and implementation of highly effective detergents and disinfectants in the production of milk of cows. Many researchers and practitioners have directed their work to developing measures to prevent the entry of pathogenic microflora into milk during and after milking cows. In spite of many researches carried out, aimed at controlling the number of somatic cells in milk with the use of different products based on lactic acid, chlorhexidine and iodine, the problem of high quality milk production remains unresolved. In our work results of researches on the use of probiotic means for treatment of udders of cows are given. Processing the udder of cows with probiotic means before milking by Skin Cleaner, after milking by PIP Cow Teat Cleaner reduced the amount of somatic cells in cow milk 12,8-84,0%. The use of probiotic means Biomastim lowed somatic cell count of 18,4-51,9%. Microbiological contamination of milk using probiotic means for processing the udder before milking Skin Cleaner, after milking PIP Cow Teat Cleaner decreased 4,9- 70,4 times. The application of probiotic means Biomastim after milking on the teats led to the decrease in milk of cows QMAFAnM 5,0-6,6 times.

Through the dialectical method the objective of the article was to analyze the process of the elaboration of modern laws, considering their structure and main problems. There is a major structure and problems inherent in the modern law-making process described in the article. The structure of law-making comprises four parts: 1. Cognitive-analytical part; 2. Theoretical foundations of the legal norms and acts they dictate; 3. Validation of legal act or norm; 4. Monitoring of relevant rules and legal acts. The main legislative task is to draft legal norms that stimulate the active development of all parts of the State and society through a deep perception of all related processes, including those involving standard-setting. It is concluded that the main factor affecting the quality of legislation is the lack of a uniform legislative basis for the issuance of legal acts. There seems to be a real need to develop a uniform legislative act on the law-making process. The Code containing general and specific parts of each law must be developed.

Experts are often asked to represent their uncertainty as a subjective probability. Structured protocols offer a transparent and systematic way to elicit and combine probability judgements from multiple experts. As part of this process, experts are asked to individually estimate a probability (e.g., of a future event) which needs to be combined/aggregated into a final group prediction. The experts' judgements can be aggregated behaviourally (by striving for consensus), or mathematically (by using a mathematical rule to combine individual estimates). Mathematical rules (e.g., weighted linear combinations of judgments) provide an objective approach to aggregation. However, the choice of a rule is not straightforward, and the aggregated group probability judgement's quality depends on it. The quality of an aggregation can be defined in terms of accuracy, calibration and informativeness. These measures can be used to compare different aggregation approaches and help decide on which aggregation produces the "best" final prediction. In the ideal case, individual experts' performance (as probability assessors) is scored, these scores are translated into performance-based weights, and a performance-based weighted aggregation is used. When this is not possible though, several other aggregation methods, informed by measurable proxies for good performance, can be formulated and compared. We use several data sets to investigate the relative performance of multiple aggregation methods informed by previous experience and the available literature. Even though the accuracy, calibration, and informativeness of the majority of methods are very similar, two of the aggregation methods distinguish themselves as the best and worst.

The study is devoted to the development of information technology for forecasting based on time series. It has been found that it is important to develop new models and forecasting methods to improve the quality of the forecast. Information technology is based on the evolutionary method of synthesis of the forecast scheme grounded on basic forecast models. The selected method allows you to consider any number of predictive models that may belong to different classes. For a given time series, the weight coefficients with which the models are included in the resulting forecast scheme are calculated by finding the solution to the optimization problem. The method of constructing the objective function for the optimization problem in the form of a linear combination of forecasting results by basic forecasting models is shown. It is proposed to find the solution to the optimization problem using a genetic algorithm. The result of the method is the forecast scheme, which is a linear combination of basic forecast models. To assess the quality of the forecast, it is suggested to use forecasting errors or forecast volatility calculated as the standard deviation. Forecast quality criteria are selected depending on the context of the task. The use of forecast volatility as a quality criterion, with repeated use of technology, will reduce the deviation of forecast values from real data. The structural scheme of information technology is developed. Structurally, information technology consists of two blocks: data processing and interpretation of the obtained values. The result of the application of the developed information technology is the production rules for determining the predicted value of the studied quantity. Experimental verification of the obtained results was performed. The problem of forecasting the number of religious organizations in Ukraine based on statistical data from 1997 to 2000 has been solved. The autoregression method and the linear regression model were chosen as the basic forecast models. Based on the results of using the developed information technology, the weights of the basic models were calculated. It is demonstrated that the obtained forecast scheme allowed to improve the average absolute percentage error and forecast volatility in comparison with the selected models. Keywords: information technology; time series; forecasting; evolutionary technologies; forecast volatility; synthesis of the forecast scheme.

The need to compare individuals is discussed briefly. It is suggested that the composite quality of an individual is best defined as the weighted sum of a number of measurable characteristics of the individual. A statistical procedure for comparison of weighted average quality is derived from application of the principle of the linear combination of variables. A digital computer program is available.

The present paper deals with the estimation of population mean of the study variable using the linear combination of known population values of coefficient of skewness and quartile deviation of auxiliary variable. Two modified ratio estimators for estimation of population mean of the study variable involving the above linear combinations are being used. Mean squared errors and biases up to the first degree of approximation are derived and compared with the proposed modified ratio estimators. The proposed modified ratio estimators perform better than the existing ratio estimators. The empirical study has been carried out in support of the results.

ABSTRACT Specialty coffees can be differentiated in various ways, including the environmental conditions in which they are produced and the sensory composition of the drink. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of altitude, slope exposure and fruit color on the sensory attributes of cafes of the region of Matas de Minas. Sampling points were georeferenced in four altitude ranges (< 700 m; 700 ≤ x ≤ 825 m, 825 < x < 950 m and ≥ 950 m) of the coffee crop; two fruit colors of var. Catuaí (yellow and red); and two slope exposures (North-facing and South-facing). Coffee fruit at the cherry stage were processed and submitted to sensory analysis. The sensory attributes evaluated were overall perception, clean cup, balance, aftertaste, sweetness, acidity, body and flavor, which made up the final score. The scores were examined by ANOVA and means were compared by the Tukey test (p ≤ 0.05). From the sensory standpoint, coffee fruits of both colors are similar, as well as the coffees from both slope exposures when these factors were analyzed separately. However, at higher altitudes, Yellow Catuaí produces coffees with better sensory quality. Similarly, coffees from North-facing slopes, at higher altitudes produce better quality cup. The altitude is the main factor that interferes with coffee quality in the area. All factors together contribute to the final quality of the beverage produced in the region of Matas de Minas.

Leaf edge browning is the main factor affecting fresh-cut lettuce marketability. Dipping in organic acids as well as the low O2 modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), can be used as anti-browning technologies. In the present research paper, the proper oxalic acid (OA) concentration, able to reduce respiration rate of fresh-cut iceberg lettuce, and the suitable packaging materials aimed to maintaining a low O2 during storage, were selected. Moreover, the combined effect of dipping (in OA or in citric acid) and packaging in low O2 was investigated during the storage of fresh-cut iceberg lettuce for 14 days. Results showed a significant effect of 5 mM OA on respiration rate delay. In addition, polypropylene/polyamide (PP/PA) was select as the most suitable packaging material to be used in low O2 MAP. Combining OA dipping with low O2 MAP using PP/PA as material, resulted able to reduce leaf edge browning, respiration rate, weight loss and electrolyte leakage, preserving the visual quality of fresh-cut lettuce until 8 days at 8 °C.
