The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of Wholesome Scattering Game in improving students’ writing skills on descriptive text and to find out whether there is a significant difference between students who were taught by using Wholesome Scattering Game and the students who were not. This research used quantitative approach focusing on experimental research which was conducted at SMAN 2 Sungaiselan in academic year 2019/2020. The researcher used purposive sampling technique and two classes were taken as samples, with 69 students (35 students for the control group and 34 students for the  experimental). The result of the test was analyzed by using statistical analysis of Paired sample t-test and Independent sample t-test. The finding showed that the students who were taught by using Wholesome Scattering Game got higher score than those who were taught by using non-Wholesome Scattering Game. It means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, while the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It could be concluded that there was a significant difference between students who were taught by using Wholesome Scattering Game and the students who were taught without using Wholesome Scattering Game.

The purpose of this study was to find out whether or not there was a significant difference in writing achievement between students who were taught through COPS strategy and that of those who were not. The sample of the study was 71 students of SMP N 1 Sungai Pinang Ogan Ilir. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample. Written test was used to collect the data which consisted of five topics. T-test was used to analyze the data. Based on the result, it was found that the t-obtained (6.450) was higher than t-table (1.950) and the àvalue (0.000) was lower than Pvalue (0.05), the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It meant that there was a significant difference in writing achievement between students who were taught by through COPS Strategy and that of those were not. Thus, COPS strategy can be used to teach writing skill.

The research consists of two variables, namely the independent variable (Instagram) and the dependent variable (writing ability). The aim of this research is to find out whether or not the use of Instagram is effective in teaching writing Descriptive Text. The population of this research was all grade ten students at SMAN 3 Bekasi, consisted of 370 students divided into 10 classes. The sample of this research was 74 students divided into 2 classes, taken from the population using Cluster Random Sampling Technique. This research used the Quasi Experimental Method, and the design was randomized post-test only control group design. To collect the data, the writers used instrument. The instrument consists of 10 question items in an essay. They were developed from the indicators of writing as specified in BluePrint. To get a good instrument, it was tried out to other classes outside the sample classes, and the instrument was analyzed in the item of its validity, reliability, difficulty index, and discrimination power by using Ms. Excel 2010. After it has been analyzed, it gained 5 items which were used to collect data for the research. The writers used a T-test to find out whether the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted or rejected. The result of this research presented that there was a significant difference of Instagram on students’ writing ability at SMAN 3 Bekasi. The significance (Sig.) score of T-test 0.000 is lower than (<) 0.05. Therefore, the research had a significant difference in Instagram on Grade Ten Students’ Writing Ability at SMAN 3 Bekasi. In addition, Instagram helped the students to develop their writing, and also, it can ease the teaching and learning process.

Objective of this research was to find out significant difference of reading achievement between students The objective of this study was to find out whether or not there was a significant improvement in students' skill in writing narrative texts after they were taught by using Genre-Based Approach. The method of this study was experimental design. The experimental group received a genre-based approach while the control group received the conventional method. The population was the eleventh-grade students of SMA Ethika Palembang. The sample was 60 students which was selected by cluster random technique . The data collection was a writing test. The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. It indicated that there was a significant difference in writing skill between the students who were taught using GBA and those who were not.  Based on the result of data, it was interpreted that all aspects of writing are increased after taught by using GBA Approach. The best-achieved writing aspect was style and quality expression. It assumed the use of words: phrases, sentences, and paragraphs in expressing the ideas were clear and effective in writing style. Further, the study provided evidence for the effectiveness of using the genre-based approach in improving the students' writing skill in narrative text.

English Environment Programs is one of method In Improving Speaking Ability At Polytechnic of National Informatics. This research aims at finding out wheather or not the use of English environment Programs improve the speaking ability. This research used Quasy experimental method with two group pre-test and post-test design. The result of the data analysis showed that the degree of freedom (df) was 43 (n1 + n2 – 2) where n1 = 30 and n2 = 15 so 30 + 15 – 2 = 43), the level of significant (α) = 0.05, the t-test value of students’ speaking ability= 3.765, and the t-table value = 2.021. The t-test value is greater than the t-table value (3.765 > 2.021), this showed that there is a significant difference of improvement between the Control group and Experimental Group. It means that the Alternative Hypothesis (H1) is accepted while the Null Hypothesis (H0) rejected. Based on the result above, the researcher concluded that the using of English Environment Programs can improve the speaking ability of the second year students of Polytechnic of National InformaticsKeywords: English Environment, Speaking, Effectiveness

This research aims at finding out wheather or not the use of English environment Programs improve the speaking ability. Abstract This research was aimed to find out whether or not the Draw Label Caption is effective toward students’ writing skill. The research was experimental research and the design used was pre-experimental with pretest-posttest design. The population of the study was the second year students of SMA Hang Tuah Mataram which consisted of one class (28 students). One class was chosen by using simple sampling technique and the result of test was distributed obtain the research data. In analyzing the data was used t-test formula. The findings showed that t-test was (4.875) > t-table (2.052) at the significant level = 0,05 (95%) and N=28 students. It means that, Alternative hypothesis (Ha) is using Draw Label Caption toward students’ writing skill at the second year students of SMA Hang Tuah Mataram in academic year 2019/2020 was accepted. It could be concluded that there was significant effect of Draw Label Caption toward student’s writing skill at second year student of SMA Hang Tuah Mataram.

Writing process involves thinking and creative skills. To stimulate the students’ thoughts to express their ideas, clustering technique is effective brainstorming activity to help the students explore their ideas and write consistently. Thus, the objective of this study is to find out whether or not there is any significant difference between the students who were taught in writing descriptive paragraph through Clustering Technique and those who were not. The population of this study was all of the eighth grade students of SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang in academic year 2016/2017. There were three classes that consist of 113 students. The samples of this study were VIII C as a control group and VIII B as an experimental group. This study was conducted by using quasi experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. Then, the data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The result of independent sample t-test shows that the value of sig. (2-tailed) was 0.00 < 0.05 in the level of significant 0.05. While, the value of t-obtained was 5.213 higher than the critical value of t-table was 1.665 with degree of freedom 76. It can be concluded that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. It means that there was any significant difference between the students who were taught in writing descriptive paragraph through Clustering Technique and those who were not.

Vocabulary is a knowledge of words and word meanings. To increase the student’s vocabulary, the writer chosen game. A game is an alternative way to teach. One of the alternative games is a charades game. So, based on it the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of charades game toward student’s vocabulary. This study was conducted at the first-grade students of SMPN 18 Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. This study used a quasi-experimental design that is used pre-test and post-test control group design. The population of study involved 40 students from two classes SMPN 18 Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. The writer took all of the students as a sample, and they are 20 students belong to the experimental group and 20 students in the control group. In this study, the writer used the vocabulary test consists of 20 items multiple choice covered with the indicator of vocabulary consist of spelling, pronunciation, and meaning. The result of this study, the students could understand spelling, pronunciation, and meaning and they could answer the test vocabulary easily through charades game. In this data, pre-test, and post-test as the research technique of data collection, then followed by analyzing the data using the t-test formula. The level of significance is at 0, 05%, t-test = 2,99 and t-table= 2,02, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that there was a significant difference between the student's pre-test and post-test scores. Thus, the writer concludes that the charades game on the student’s vocabulary affects.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan pengukuran antara anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode proyek dengan anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode ceramah pada anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Eksperimen Semu dengan desain non equivalen Control Group Design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara yang berjumlah 476 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan teknik cluster sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B3 TK Tunas Mekar I yang berjumlah 15 anak sebagai kelompok eksperimen serta anak kelompok B3 TK Tunas Mekar II yang berjumlah 15 anak sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data hasil pengukuran anak dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi menggunakan lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial dengan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh hasil uji-t yaitu thitung = 2,7905 dan ttabel dengan taraf signifikan 5% pada derajat kebebasan (dk) 28 adalah 2,0484. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa thitung>ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan HA diterima. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan pengukuran antara anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode proyek dengan anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode ceramah pada anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan metode proyek terhadap kemampuan pengukuran anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019.Kata Kunci : metode proyek, pengukuran, anak usia dini The aim of study is to know the significant difference of measurement capability between children who are given learning using of project method with children who are given learning using of lecture method in children group B Gugus Cempaka in Kuta Utara of Academic Year 2018/2019. The total amount of population of this research is 476 people. The sampling technique is using cluster sampling technique. The sample in this research is children of group B3 TK Tunas Mekar I which consists of 15 children as experiment group and children of group B3 TK Tunas Mekar II which consist of 15 children as control group. The data of children’s measurement is collected by observation technique using observation sheet. The data obtained is analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with T-test. Based on the result of data analysis, the result of t-test is tcount = 2,7905 and ttable with significant level of 5% at degrees of freedom (dk) 28 is 2,0484. The result of t-test show that tcount > ttable then H0 is rejected and HA is accepted. Thus, it could be know that, there is a significant difference of measurement capability between children who are given learning using of project method with children who are given learning using of lecture method in children group B Gugus Cempaka in Kuta Utara of Academic Year 2018/2019. Thus, it can be concluded that, there was signifikan influence of project method on children’s measurement capability of group B Gugus Cempaka in Kuta Utara of Academic Year 2018/2019. keyword : project method, measurement, early childhood

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of phonics approach in teaching reading for the seventh graders of SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel, East Lombok, and to what extent it is effective. This research was designed as  pre-experimental with read aloud test as the instrument to collect data. The sample of this research consisted of 36 students of SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel. The sample was taken through purposive sampling. In collecting the data, a pre-test and a post-test were given to the students. SPSS 17 for Windows and paired-sample t-test were applied to analyze the collected data. After, calculating the data, it could be known that there was a significant difference in the mean scores between pre-test and post-test, t(df=35) = 23.314 at p = 0.001, meaning that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In a nutshell, phonics approach was significantly effective in teaching reading for the seventh graders of SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel.
