East Lampung Regency has a coastal area of East Lampung with 316 ha. One of the coastal tourist areas owned by East Lampung Regency is Shells Mas Beach. This beach has a fairly long coastline where there are a lot of bivalves, but the inventory of the types of bivalves on the beach. The purpose of the research is to analyze both the species diversities of bivalves and physical also chemical conditions of the waters. The research methodology used purposive sampling method analysis of species abundance data, diversity index, and index dominance. From the result of the bivalve diversities on the coast, bivalve the most common found are is Matra grandis,it is found out that there is no dominating bivalve amongst them due to below normal dominating rate that is 0,08-0,16 to be considered low level (00,00<C≤0,30); middle with diversity index 2,18–2,70 (2<H’≤3); high with index diversity 0,85–0,94 (E>0,6). The highest abundance value at station 1 is 4787.01 ind/m3 and the lowest species abundance value at station 3 is138.75 ind/m3. From the results of the chemical physics measurements, it shows that it still is in the range of sea water quality standards. The Bivalve diversity relationship shows a positive correlation to the parameters of salinity, grain size, and sediment TSS. Meanwhile, it shows negative correlation for parameters DO, pH and temperature.

ABSTRACT Indonesia's territory has high water resources such as fauna diversity. One animal example from the Phylum Echinodermata Class Asteroidea. This is supported by the presence of sand, seagrass and coral reef habitats. Asteroidea is a inhabitant of shallow waters and is commonly found in seagrass beds and coral reefs. This study aims to analyze the diversity of sea star species in Bahowo Beach, Bunaken District, Manado City, North Sulawesi. The sampling method used in this study is the line transect and squared method. Analysis of the data used is Relative Abundance (KR), Diversity Index (H '), Evenness Index (e), and Wealth Index (R). The results of the study found 5 species with a total of 73 individuals. Diversity index value is H '= 1.23 and shows the results of moderate diversity. Keywords: Diversity of Types of Sea Stars in Bahowo Beach, Bunaken District, Manado City, North Sulawesi.  ABSTRAK Wilayah Indonesia memiliki sumber daya perairan yang tinggi seperti keanekaragaman fauna. The observation of dissolved oxygen level and Apparent Oxygen Utilization (AOU) in Lembeh Strait Waters was conducted in January, February, June and July 2016. The objective of this research is to know the condition of dissolved oxygen and Apparent Oxygen Utilization (AOU). The results of the analysis showed that dissolved oxygen levels in the surface layer and near the bottom ranged from 6.00-6.56 mg/l and 5.59-6.17 mg/l. Based on the values of temperature and salinity obtained from this study, solubility, oxygen saturation degree and AOU value at the surface layer were calculated. In the surface layer the AOU values are positive, ranging from 0.10-0.72 mg/l, while near the bottom, negative and positive AOU values were balanced, ranging from -0.23-0.42 mg/l. The concentration of dissolved oxygen in the Lembeh Strait waters has not shown negative impact on the aquatic environment and is still in accordance with sea water quality standards for marine biota. Keywords: Dissolved oxygen, apparent oxygen utilization (AOU), Lembeh Strait. The quality of coastal ground water on small islands has characteristics that are influenced by environmental and area factors. Yeben Island is a small island with an area of 0.57 km2 with priority coastal and marine tourism areas in the islands of Raja Ampat. This study aims to (1) analyze levels of ground water quality parameters and (2) analyze water samples against water quality standards. Groundwater samples taken as many as 4 samples from the study location. The location of water samples is in the morphology of the coastal plain. The analysis of each physical and chemical parameter of each groundwater sample is carried out by comparing the value of drinking water quality standards. The results are presented in a comparison table of quality standards and a graph of scaled values.Based on the results, the laboratory shows that it exceeds the quality standard of physical elements and chemical elements including fluoride, hardness, sulfate and organic substances. In general, the quality of water is poor. Poor ground water quality occurs due to the influence of sea water intrusion.

This study was aimed to riview the quality of sea water in terms of phytoplankton diversity index as the impact of aquaculture shrimp ponds in Madayin village, Sambelia District of East Lombok. This study was conducted in March to June 2018. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method as 6 sampling points was 3 points (stations 4, 5 and 6) were taken from the outlet of sewage shrimp, 1 point (station 3) were taken from estuary, and 2 points (stations 1 and 2) were taken from the sea. Water samples was taken 50 liters and was filtered using 25μm plankton nets. Filtered water put into bottles samples then was preserved by formalin 4%. Phytoplankton analysis was carried out in Biology Laboratory FPMIPA Faculty of Mataram University. Results showed that the diversity index (H) ranged from 2.055 to 2.257, this value indices were moderate/medium. Equitability index (E) value of ranged from moderate to high where the stations 1 and 3 were moderate (0.5 <E <0.75) while stations 2, 4, 5 and 6 were high (E> 0.75). All stations showed that there were no dominance of phytoplankton species. Based on the results, the condition of Madayin coastal was moderate to good condition, no significant ecological pressure.

Water quality generally indicates the quality or condition of water associated with a particular activity or need.  The influx of organic and inorganic pollution into Daruba waters can cause the water quality meets degradation of biological of function. This reseach aimed to determine the quality analysis of the waters of the Daruba. Sampling was carried out in September to oktober 2020 across five reseach stations, then the result of laboratory of water quality parameters were carried out descriptive. The result measurements and laboratory tests of chemical physics parameters show the condition of Daruba waters based on water quality standards on KEPMEN-LH No. 51 Tahun 2004, most of which have exceeded the water quality standards for marine biota.

Tunikata is an animal shaped like a tube and its body is covered by a mantle (tunic). These organisms have functions and impacts for ecology, pharmacology, people and the economy. However, the various important roles of the tunicate are not matched by information on abundance and diversity in Indonesia in general and the island of Bali in particular. Therefore, this study aims to determine the abundance, species composition and the diversity of tunikata in the waters of Jemeluk and Penuktukan, Bali, where each of these waters has a different coral reef morphology reef flats (Jemeluk) and reef slopes (Penuktukan). Data retrieval is done with a 25x2m2 belt transect and parallel to the shoreline. Determination of location of observation based on purposive sampling method. Analysis of the data used using the abundance formula, species composition and the Shannon-Wiener diversity index. The results showed that the abundance of tunikata in Jemeluk waters did not differ significantly between stations where the highest was found in stations 1 and 3, the lowest at station 2. But the abundance of tunicates in waters Penuktukan significantly different between stations where the highest in three and the lowest station on Station 1. There are nine kinds of tunicates on both waters where species Didemnum molle and Atriolum robustum is the type most commonly found. The highest diversity of tunicate species in Jemeluk waters is found in stations 1 and 3 and the lowest is at station 2, while the highest Penuktukan is located at station 1 and the lowest is at station 3. In general, the index of biodiversity in both waters is categorized as low.
