This study aims to provide an overview of the Performance of the Tourism Sector in Destination and Tourism Industry Development at the Katingan Regency Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Where is the technique of collecting data by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses qualitative data analysis procedures, namely extracting meaning, drawing, explaining and placing data on their respective contexts. The results of the research show in this research are the Performance of Tourism in Destination and Tourism Industry Development at the Katingan Regency Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports. But the need for community participation in tourism development and the synergy of government programs and related institutions will be even better in developing tourism in Katingan Regency, because considering tourism in Katingan Regency is still virgin or still natural with objects in the form of lakes, mountains, rivers, rocks and others that are still natural.

This study aimed to discover the development of tourism industry in several cultural events at Batam Regency, Riau Island Province. This is seen crucial as it deals with how the cultural event in tourism industry may affect the intensity of tourists’ revisit and tourism development. The data were obtained from interview and library research about the number of tourists’ visits on the cultural events and the increased number of the local revenue. The data were analyzed through qualitative data analysis. The results from the study showed how effective the cultural events to attract tourists’ revisit, develop the tourism industry, and local revenues. This research titled Tourism Village Development in Badung Regency (Case Study in Baha Tourism Village). The purpose of this research is to find out of the tourism development in Baha Village since this village is disignated as tourism village in Badung. The data are collected by observation, indeepth interview and literatur study. The obtained data were analyzed in qualitative data analysis. The results of this study after being analyzed using tourism area life cycle theory that the development of Baha Tourism Village is in involvement phase where the people who have taken initiative to providing the tourist atraction service and the tourism fasilities in Baha tourism village. Beside of that in it cooperation between the people and goverment is try to make the promotion tools like website. This aims is to facilitate the tourists to get information about tourist village of Baha. From this development has also spawned the tourism organizations with the name of “Kelompok sadar Wisata” or commonly abbreviated to be “POKDARWIS”

Purpose Information and communication technologies have been widely implemented and made radical changes for several decades in the hospitality and tourism industry. This rapid development also generates considerable data in social media. This trend opens the door to analyze unstructured data and gain increased attention of a qualitative research approach from hospitality and tourism researchers and industry professionals. Therefore, this paper aims to describe how a computer-assisted qualitative data analysis (CAQDA) approach can be used in the hospitality and tourism technology literature to uncover the trends and thematic concepts of hospitality and tourism technology research and their dynamics in Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology (JHTT) Design/methodology/approach To achieve the proposed research goals, the current study used CAQDA software, Leximancer, to analyze 218 articles published in JHTT between Volume 1(1) in 2010 and Volume 10(4) in 2019. Based on the rigorous CAQDA processes, the study performed the thematic analysis using all articles and subgroup analyses in the five-year periods. Findings Using CAQDA, the study reveals the critical research trends and insights on hospitality and tourism technology for 10 years in the JHTT. The findings of this study can provide strong evidence of what hospitality and tourism technology research topics have been examined and how these topics were connected and changed over time. More importantly, the current study illustrates how the CAQDA approach can be applied to uncover the hidden trends and thematic concepts from text data in the hospitality and tourism literature. Originality/value This study is the first attempt to apply CAQDA software to identify research trends and thematic concepts and gain insights from past JHTT’s articles. Moreover, this study applies this software to describe how hospitality and tourism researchers can use one of the modern computer-assisted qualitative techniques. Based on the findings of this study, theoretical and methodological implications for hospitality and tourism researchers are provided. More importantly, the current study presents the specific guidelines of how the CAQDA approach can be used for the literature review.

The title of this research is Participation of Chinese Society in the Implementation of Musrenbang at Sukadamai Village. This research  aims to analyze the participation process of the Chinese ethnic community in the Musrenbang in Sukadamai Village, Medan Polonia District and tounderstand the forms of participation Chinese ethnic society in the Musrenbang in Sukadamai Village, Medan Polonia District. Theory in this research used theory of participation. The method used is qualitative data analysis. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews and literature study. The Musrenbang process of Sukadamai Village, Medan Polonia District consists of Pre-preparation, Implementation and Closing and in each of these stages, the Chinese ethnic society is actively involved. Forms of community participation, the Chinese ethnic in the Musrenbang of Sukadamai Village, Medan Polonia District include; thoughts, energy, expertise, goods and money.

The paper deals with justifying the importance of the tourism industry as an effective component of the development of social, cultural, economic, political spheres of a region and a country. The purpose of the paper is to investigate the current state of the tourism sector in Ukraine; identify major problems of the tourism sector; suggest effective ways of its further development. It is proved that the development of tourism services, both domestically and internationally, requires high quality of such services and search for ways of its effective functioning. The paper touches upon the role of tourism in the economy, current state of tourism operations, distinguishes factors influencing the development of this industry. The object of research is the tourism industry in Ukraine. The subject of the study is the current state of the tourism industry in Ukraine: problems of development and ways of improvement. The methodology of the study is based on using such methods as scientific abstraction, analogies and theoretical generalization – to study theories regarding tourism sector in Ukraine, determination of its role in the economy; system analysis – to study current state of domestic tourism sector; graphic method – to represent visually the theoretical and practical results of the research; structural-logical – to construct the study logically; theoretical generalization – tohighlight the specific features of tourism industry improvement process on both regional and state levels. The study covers main indicators of tourist industry development in Ukraine as well as analysis of tourist tax revenue and tax payments to the state budget of Ukraine. The paper also explores the main problems that hinder the effective development of tourism in Ukraine, particularly in environmental, social, economic, political spheres which need to be addressed. The factors that reduce the volume of foreign tourist inflow to Ukraine and negatively affect the active promotion of the tourism product are identified. The paper proposes ways of improving the socio-economic development of both the tourism sector as well as the region and the state as a whole. The article emphasizes the creation of a positive image of Ukraine as a tourist state and this process should be based on the infrastructure modernization of tourism, resort, and recreational spheres. Among the effective ways to improve the tourism business efficiency in Ukraine, the article proposes stimulation of travel companies to promote inbound tourism, which will help to generate high profits and replenish the state budget regularly. Based on the results of the study, the main ways of solving tourism sphere issues in Ukraine and active promotion of tourism services should be: improvement of regulatory-legal framework for development of tourist and recreational services in Ukraine; close cooperation of authorities with scientific organizations; stimulation of domestic tourism development; state support of social tourism through the development and improvement of appropriate national programs which will guarantee e benefits for setting up of tourism businesses; investments in tourism industry development; facilitation of competitive advantages development; improvement of tourism safety; participation in international tourism industry development programs. Furt her research will revitalization of tourism in Ukraine is one of the high priority directions of domestic economy development. Solving problems that currently hinder tourism development will increase economic income to the state budget. Taking into account the fact that Ukraine has a strong tourism and recreation potential, active promotion of the tourism product will increase employment levels and create conditions for rapid economic development. Stimulation of travel entitiesfor inbound tourism development will generate high profits not only for tourism industry but also other sectors of the economy and the country. That is why development of effective strategic plans and improvement of regulatory framework can enhance Ukraine's tourism image, accelerate the tourism industry, and increase budget income.

The main focus of this research is to explain the community response of society in Sambirejo Village in developing tourism in Breksi Cliffs. Responses are assessed from three aspects namely: perception, attitude and participation. Data analysis is done by understanding and compiling data that has been collected systematically. The aim is to find the community’s response to tourism and the level of community participation in tourism management. The result of this study is two types of responses namely positive and negative. Positive response arises from people who want to take advantage of business opportunities, the formation of local institutions, and the change in status experienced by the management members of Breksi Cliffs. While the negative response arises from the group of miners who were directly affected by mine stop regulation. This research is entitled “The Effectiveness of Using Cooperative Script Method to Improve Students’ Reading Comprehension on Recount Text of 8th Grade Students of SMP N Kewapante, Maumere in Academic Year 2017/ 2018”. The objective of this research is to investigate and to find out whether the use of cooperative script method effective to improve students’ reading comprehension on recount text. The method of this research is experimental research especially quasi experimental research. In analyzing the data, the researcher combined both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. In qualitative data analysis, the researcher used interview technique in order to get information about students’ perceptions in reading, while in quantitative data analysis, the researcher used SPSS version 16. The result of the research showed that the implementation of Cooperative Script Method in experimental class was more effective to help the students in reading comprehension on recount text compared to the use of the conventional method in control class of the eighth grade students of SMP N Kewapante, Maumere. It is also found that cooperative script method positively contributed to improve students’ reading comprehension. Therefore ,the researcher  suggests the teachers to use cooperative script method in order to improve students reading comprehension Additionally, cooperative script method can also motivate students to be more active, relax and enthusiastic to comprehend reading texts.
