This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and organizational climate on the performance of lecturers at Batanghari University, Jambi. This study uses a quantitative approach with the form of correlational research which explains the relationship of each independent variable with the dependent variable, either individually or collectively, and makes predictions for the dependent variable on each independent variable. With the regression equation Y = 3,120 + 0.453 X1 + 0.494 X2 + 0.010 X3 From the above equation, it can be seen that if the leadership style can be more effective by one unit, the lecturer performance will increase by 0.453; Likewise with the organizational climate, if the organizational climate is better by one unit, the lecturer's performance will increase by 0.494, something that is not much different from motivation, namely if the motivation is increased by one unit, the performance will increase by 0.010. This means that leadership style, organizational climate and motivation have a positive correlation with lecturer performance. Therefore, it is expected that these three components (X1, X2 and X3) can be optimally improved. The results of simultaneous hypothesis testing show that the value of F count is 33.110 at the level of freedom of 95 and α = 5% greater than F table 2.02439. or sig F 0.000 <0.05, this means that simultaneously or collectively, leadership style, organizational climate and motivation have a significant effect on lecturer performance at the University of Batanghari Jambi.

Locus of control is measured by the ability, interest, effort, fate, and influence of others. Job satisfaction is measured by using 2 factors motivation, the last work discipline includes goals, justice, inherent supervision, sanctions and punishments. Data were analyzed for hypothesis testing using Path Analysis. The results of the analysis reveal that locus of control and job satisfaction have an effect on employee discipline. Another finding is that job satisfaction plays a role in mediating the influence of locus of control on work discipline. Suggestions for further research is to develop this research in a different place and examine the consequences of work discipline.

The present study examines the link between leadership behavior and instructor's job satisfaction in four purposefully selected colleges and schools of Arba Minch University (AMU). The study participants were 167 randomly selected instructors of sampled colleges and schools. Of these, 149 were male instructors and the remaining18 were female ones. The data for the study were gathered via adapted questionnaire. The study employed quantitative correlational research design to examine the relationship between leadership behavior and instructor's job satisfaction. A Pearson's correlation coefficient (r) value was used to determine the correlation between the independent variable (leadership behavior) and the dependent variable (instructor's job satisfaction) and simple linear regression was employed to predict their relationship. The findings revealed that leadership behavior has statistically significant, positive and strong correlation with instructor's job satisfaction (r=.761, p<.049 two-tailed). The study further indicated that the value of R2 (.580) indicates 58 % of the job satisfaction is explained by leadership behavior. From these findings, it was concluded that there is a positive link between leadership behavior and instructor's job satisfaction. Therefore, it was recommended that through both formal and informal trainings, the university leaders should aware how their leadership behavior is correlated with instructor's job satisfaction and then they should adopt and practice different dimensions of leadership behavior to improve instructor's job satisfaction.

Research has been done to find out the relationship of qualitative and quantitative motivation with academic performance, but with contradictory results. Objective: To find the correlation between the strength of motivation and academic performance among dental students of the University College of Medicine and Dentistry (UCMD).Method: A correlational research design was applied. The strength of motivation was calculated using the SMMS-R questionnaire. The questionnaire was sent on WhatsApp to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and final year students. One hundred and forty-four responses were recorded. Out of these, 4 students did not allow to access their results, thus they were excluded from the study. For the rest of the 140 students, their academic scores of Combined Block Assessment 1 (CBA-1) were provided by the administration department. Data analysis was done using the SPSS 25.Results: Strength of motivation and academic performance showed a positive relationship; Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) was 0.6 with a p-value of 0.01. With an increase in strength of motivation, the academic performance also increased. Conclusion: A positive relationship was found between the students’ strength of motivation and their academic performance as calculated by the SMMS-R questionnaire. The purpose of this study was to test the mediating effects of coping on relationships of psychological distress and stress with anxiety, depression, and quality of life. A cross-sectional and correlational research study was used to recruit a sample of 440 patients with advanced cancer in Indonesia. A bootstrap resampling procedure was used to test the significance of the total and specific indirect effects of coping. Data analysis showed that problem-focused coping (PFC) mediated relationships of psychological distress and stress on depression, anxiety and functional well-being. PFC also mediated the relationship between stress and social well-being. Emotional-focused coping (EFC) mediated the relationship of stress with physical and emotional well-being. EFC also mediated the relationships between psychological distress and physical well-being. Thus, proper assessments and interventions should be tailored and implemented for patients in order to facilitate their use of coping strategies when needed in stressful situations.
