Electronic Government (e-Government) has been implemented in Indonesia at both the central and regional levels, where Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is integrated with public services in order to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency. Surakarta has succeeded in creating an application that operates online which can be used to access population administration services, namely Dukcapil application (Dukcapil dalam genggaman in Indonesian term). This application is designed to make it easier for some people of Surakarta who are still experiencing problems if they have to directly access population administration services, whether constrained in terms of time, energy, and cost. As part of population administration services and population information systems, user satisfaction is important for Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman because it is related to the quality of the services provided and the success of implementing the application. User satisfaction can be influenced by several factors. Therefore, this study will examine the factors that influence user satisfaction of Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman. These factors were adapted from a model for measuring the level of user satisfaction with information systems, namely End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS), which measures satisfaction based on content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. This study aims to determine the effect of these factors on user satisfaction of Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman. The questionnaire was distributed to users of Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman and successfully obtained a sample of 107 users. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression. It was found that content, accuracy, ease of use, and timeliness have a significant effect on user satisfaction of Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman. Meanwhile, the format does not have a effect on user satisfaction of Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman. Based on these findings, the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Surakarta is recommended to develop Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman by focusing on the factors that affect user satisfaction of the application.

The multilevel framework proposed in this chapter is particularly useful for research involving complex and multilevel interactions (i.e., interactions involving individuals, groups, organizations and networks at the community, regional or societal levels). The framework is influenced by three theoretical perspectives. The core foundation comes from the structurationist view of technology, a stream of research characterized by the application of structuration theory to information systems (IS) research and notably influenced by researchers like Orlikowski (2000) and Walsham (2002). In order to extend the framework to encompass research at the community/societal levels, concepts from social shaping of technology and from contextualism have been integrated. Beyond sharing a number of ontological and epistemological assumptions, these three streams of thinking have been combined because each of them offers particular concepts that are of great value for the kind of studies the authors wish to put forward: investigating the influence of information and communication technology (ICT) from a structurationist standpoint at levels that go beyond the organizational one.


Tourism, a multi-dimensional and multi-faceted activity with diverse social, cultural, economic and ecological impacts, got evolved as one of the largest and most significant economic sectors in the world. The lure of tourism as an engine of economic growth and diversification has been urging each and every country in the world to develop and promote it in the most possible manner (Dileep, 2018). As per the current projections, tourism is tend to grow further and it will remain as one of the most vibrant, growing and economically useful activities in the world having wide social and cultural ramifications in the years to come as well. Being an amalgam of industries, this sector includes a diverse range of industries like, intermediaries; transportation; accommodation; entertainment and recreation; shopping; hospitality; and infrastructure. Complex linkages and interrelationships exist among the various individual sectors of the tourism industry. The post second world war era has witnessed tremendous growth of tourism and in the same era has recorded the evolution and growth of information and communication technology as well. Information Technology has become one of the most fundamental and vital components of the successful businesses and organizations and is a major facilitator. In the growth of tourism as a major social phenomenon in the 21st century, Information and communication technology (ICT) too had played significant roles. Indeed, the relationship between tourism and ICT was symbiotic as well, since the latter sector got many opportunities for the application of it in the tourism sector, like in the air transportation which was a pioneer in developing transaction systems for handling the cumbersome booking data in the 1950s and 60s. Information systems for the core of ICT applications in businesses and organisations. Tourism Sector too has been using different types of information systems intensively in the international scenario. Kerala, one of the late entrants in the international tourism, has turned to be successful international tourist destinations within a few decades of time. The number of tourism arrivals has been registering consistent growth and the industry got expanded exponentially in Kerala. To compete globally, tourism of anywhere requires a variety of information systems. Kerala tourism industry is also not an exception to this. In this context, a study on the current usage of information systems in the tourism sector in Kerala seems inevitable. The study has to focus upon the types of information systems used by the tourism industry in Kerala, efficiency as well as the impacts of the usage of such information systems by the industry, comparing the scenario with the international standards and also to discuss about the future to suggest suitable solutions to look ahead to have more competence by the Kerala tourism

The health care system in Libya in recent years does not change significantly, less developed and modernized. This problem is further exacerbated by the revolution that occurred in Libya. The revolution that occurred in 2011 has caused the health care system into collapse. In this study conducted a review for the development of health information systems in Libya by using OpenMRS Framework.At the stage of gathering information using questionnaires concluded that the majority of respondents (about 95.35%) wanted the development of a new system that can resolve the main problems that occurred in Libya, the health information system ineffective and inefficient in which this system has led to wastage of time and increased operating costs. Based on analysis of system vulnerabilities using PIECES method could also be concluded that the current system is not used effectively and efficiently. In this study is also presented on how to implement OpenMRS.Based on the results of the discussion it can be concluded that OpenMRS is a solution that can be taken for the development of a health information system that is fast, low cost, and is an open source application that only requires a little setting in the system of patient management and care. OpenMRS can be implemented to support the health services of a small clinic to the health services with enterprise scale. Therefore, OpenMRS could be the answer to the development of health information systems in various countries around the world, including Libya.

The role of information systems and information technology is indispensable in a variety of fields of work and human resources required to have good quality so it could use the technology appropriately. The library is space that contained a lot of catalogs needed for learning and teachingas media seek knowledge and insight for students and lecturer, then the required information system that can hold all the information about then added data quickly and accurately. Therefore, the library shoidbeable to capitaliz on the presence of information technology to improve the quality of its services. It takes a strategic planning of information systems/information technology that isusedas the basis for the construction of an idea information system and in accordance with user needs.Strategic planning of information systems at the Library STMIK Palangka Raya using the methodology Wardand Peppard (Ward, 2002). With the strategic planning of the library can analyze and evaluate theexisting potential of the entire surroundings of the library in order to develop them selves in accordance with the progress of informationand communication technology as well as libraries have a guide in theform of strategies that should be run in the field of informationtechnolog y to improve its performance.It has a good performance of the library will be able to provide acompetitive advantage for the Organization so that it can continue tocompete in today's global era.

Microfinance has been a significant means of reducing poverty since the mid-1970s. With the economic, social, and demographic characteristics, Bangladesh has been one of the countries where microfinance interventions are notable. In Bangladesh, hundreds of microfinance organisations have been implementing microfinance programs covering almost one-third of the rural population of the country. Studies show that the proper use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) may help microfinance intervention in different ways. It may help increase operational performance, organisational upsizing, and poverty outreach, and decrease interest rate with many other organisational and social implications. This chapter looks into the Information Systems (IS) of microfinance of Bangladesh, the extent and intensity of the use of ICT, the factors that hinder the use of ICT in microfinance, the approaches to ICT management, and the emerging mobile technology-based operational model of microfinance and perceived implications of the changing landscape of ICT on this development program.

Mobile GIS combines geographic information systems, mobile positioning technology, embedded systems, wireless communication technology and other technologies. It is the new direction of development of GIS technology. This paper first introduces the composition and features. Then development types, platform and languages are given detailed introduction. Finally the paper analyzes the problems of the development of mobile GIS and the prospect of Mobile GIS is presented.
