Important hard work characters are taught for the younger generation today so that researchers are interested in describing and explaining the values of character education in hard work in Ulid's novel by Mahfud Ikhwan. This novel tells the story of the struggle of poor families to send their eldest children from kindergarten to high school with various struggles and hard work in his life. The actions that the characters to bring out the character values of hard work that are proven through the attitude and every dialogue of the characters. This study included descriptive qualitative with note-taking techniques and literature studies. The results of data analysis of hard work character values are known to 9 frequencies, including unyielding characters, passionate characters, active working characters, earnest characters, the full character of confidence in acting, the full character of the struggle for life, independent practice character, cooperative character, and characters fight together.

This paper briefly and through theoretical studies will discuss simply the problems formulated, the impact of globalization on Character education in Indonesia, as well as the paradigm of PKN learning and Character education challenges for the younger generation. It is on the ground by the declining awareness and moral values, as well as to increase the values of the characters seen in the young generations. Civic education in Indonesia has been running throughout the history of Indonesian independence, and has gone through various stages and arms, it certainly demands greater hard work of teachers to be able to increase the values of Pancasila and love of the homeland, and practice the character values which is based on the noble values of Indonesian culture into Indonesian youth.

Islamic education and character education within the 2013 Curriculum at Senior High School in Indonesia are included in group A topics which is considered as compulsory.  The central government has formulated purposes, learning outcome competence, core competence as well as basic competence of those two topics. Thus, it requires high-quality management to achieve the standards. However, in reality,  Islamic education and character education teachers, particularly at State Senior High School I Pakem, Yoyakarta, are rarely aware of this scientific content in relation to management activities.    It is admitted there that management activity is, in fact, teacher obligation yet it is often regarded merely as routine. This research, which is aimed at describing curriculum management on Islamic education and character education with integration –interconnection scientific content at Senior High School, is a field study using qualitative approach. The subjects are Islamic education and character education teachers at State Senior High School I Pakem Yogyakarta while the object is the curriculum management of Islamic education and character education of Senior High School class X, XI and XII. Data were gathered using observation, interview and documentation which are then analyzed based on  Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman. Flow model was used as data analysis including three elements namely, data gathering which was done along with data reduction using classification, topic concentration and generalization, abstraction and rough data transformation; data analysis which comprises data display, information arrangement and conclusion or data verification under the topic of curriculum management of Islamic education and character education at Senior High School particularly on planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling phase related to integration-interconnection among bayani, irfani and burhani. The result shows that, at class X, there is core topic under the themes of ”Living virtuous life” and ”Managing wakaf truthfully”, while at class XI, the core topic is ”Hi Moslem warriors, wake up and rise!”, whereas at class XII, the core topic is ”Worshiping spiritfully by believing on the doomsday”.

The purpose of this study, first, is to analyze the echocritical element reflected by the author through the short story Pegasus Jatuh. Second, integrate ecological values in literature teaching. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The approach used is Garrard's eco-criticism. Sources of data obtained from the behavior of characters in the short story. Data analysis begins by marking words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that have a focus on environmental exploitation. The results show in the short story “Pegasus Jatuh”, the author reflects environmental phenomena that include illegal logging, buying and selling protected animals, and exploitation of gold. The analysis applied in literature learning which has an important role in character education. Literature in education has a role to develop the language, cognitive, affective, psychomotoric, personality, and social aspects of students.

Character education is closely related to moral education, which is to shape and train individual abilities continuously for self-improvement towards a better life. Novel is a literary work that can convey the values of character education. The research aims to analyzing the values of character education in the novel 5 cm by Donny dhirgantoro. This research is a qualitative study using a descriptive design method. the data analysis technique by reading the entire data, analyzing the data in more detail and restating the data by described and interpreting the data. The result of this study are the value of character education  contained in the novel “ 5 cm” by Donny Dhirgantoro, namely, religious, hard work, love to read, friendly and communicative, social care,  and love  the homeland.

This study aims to determine the intrinsic elements and the value of character education in the Pawang Ternalem drama script, as well as to determine the benefits of the analysis of drama scripts as teaching materials for Indonesian in Grade VIII. This study uses qualitative methods with data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis. Based on the results of data processing, the research results show that in the Pawang Ternalem drama script there are intrinsic elements including themes, characters and characterizations, plot, setting, language style in dialogue, and mandate. In addition to the intrinsic elements of the drama script, 10 character education values were found, namely the values of religious character education, honesty, tolerance, hard work, creative, independent, respect for achievement, friendly / communicative, social care, and responsibility.

The principal as a manager or leader must have a strategy in developing educational facilities and infrastructure. Educational facilities and infrastructure are one of important resources in supporting the learning process in schools. The purpose of this article is to describe the principal's strategy in improving infrastructure through the development of infrastructure. This article is qualitative field research. The form of the research is descriptive qualitative with the design of data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this article found that the principal's strategy in improving the quality of learning through the development of infrastructure at (Public High School) SMA Negeri 1 Jombang was quite effective and efficient, especially seen from the presence of CCTV facilities that made it easier for the principal to control the teachers, as well as students during the learning process and LCD can understand the material presented by the teachers. The principal strategy in developing infrastructure is through the planning stages of infrastructure, organizing infrastructure, mobilizing infrastructure, and controlling infrastructure. The conclusion from the explanation above is that the principal's strategy in improving the quality of learning through the development of infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Jombang seen from the CCTV and LCD facilities is quite good because after seeing the results achieved, it has fulfilled the objectives to be achieved, namely to improve the quality of learning.

Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok hold a tadarus to read the Koran every Friday. However, the method applied is not appropriate and not right with the interests of students. Even students do not understand the various methods of reading the Koran. This is where researchers apply the intrinsic criticism method with the Al-Muyassar approach to improve the ability to read the Qur’an in this student of Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collected includes primary data. And the study population was all students of the Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok of grade eight . Data analysis in this study was observed by students and students of Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok. And the results of this study will be used as a reference to implement the method of reading Almuyassar's intrinsic criticism in the Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok.

This study aims to interpret the function of verbal and nonverbal rhetorical forms of presenters in Mata Najwa on Trans7 as a rhetorical strategy. The design and type of this research used descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted comprehensively which refers to the analysis of verbal and nonverbal rhetorical forms. Data collection techniques used recording techniques, listening techniques, and note-taking techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis in this study was to classify the data and classify the data. To test the validity of the data, the researchers used several stages, namely credibility testing, transferability testing, depenability testing, and confirmability testing. The results of this study found that the use of verbal (diction and style) and nonverbal (body language) rhetoric from Najwa Shihab's speech contained many persuasive elements. From the persuasive element, it was used as a strategy for the presenter in Mata Najwa on Trans7.Based on the results and discussion of verbal and nonverbal rhetoric in the Mata Najwa program on Trans7, various verb elements were selected which functioned to expedite the process of the presenter's strategy in influencing listeners. Therefore, an art in communicating is absolutely necessary for a presenter in conveying messages through the rhetoric of verbal forms of speech and rhetoric of speech in nonverbal forms.

The field of meaning and components is one of the bases for understanding the meaning of a language. And this theory helps researchers uncover the meaning of the verb 'to purify' in Arabic. The verb 'to purify' was chosen because it has an essential meaning for Muslims. Even the Qur'an uses various lexemes for this verb by looking at its context, subject, and function because different lexemes carry different meanings and legal implications. Therefore, this study aims to describe the meaning field, analyze the meaning component, and explain the verbum component of the verb 'to purify' in Arabic. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected from the Qur'an, with selective reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model by Miles and Huberman, namely by collecting data from sources and sorting it then selecting it to produce findings of four purifying verbs, namely طَهَّرَ، قَدَّسَ، زَكَّى،, and سَبَّحَ. The following components of meaning are determined through the type of subject, object, characteristics of the object, and how it works and concluded that the verb 'to purify' is included in the category of state verb and process verb.
