Carding is an important step in processing line of jute spinning. A cylinder is the heart of the whole carding machine due to the carding action, which causes from its cylinder speed and other rollers. This action occurs in breaker card and finisher card machine. This study was carried out to find out the effectiveness of various delivery roller speeds of finisher card cylinder on quality of jute-blended yarn 275 tex (8 lbs/spy). An assessment of the quality of 275 tex (8 lbs/spy) yarns spun from the 100% raw jute and jute acrylic blend were made in terms of their physical properties. The results were compared with those of the 100% jute yarns. Raw jute was blended with acrylic and their blended yarns were manufactured mainly to take advantage of value addition and to produce better yarn of jute fibre. For spinning jute acrylic blended yarn, jute fibre was mixed with acrylic in the ratio of 80% jute and 20% acrylic. Medium delivery roller speed (1830 inch/min) of the finisher card cylinder is better than any other speeds for good quality of jute blended yarn. The physical properties of the produced yarns such as load at break, strain percentage, tenacity at break, textile modulus, and quality ratio were tested. Some empirical relations have been developed between the processing parameters of the machine and physical properties of the yarn. The developed equations are valid within the experimental region. Semi-fixed abrasive is a novel abrasive. It has a ‘trap’ effect on the hard large grains that can prevent defect effectively on the surface of the workpiece which is caused by large grains. In this paper, some relevant experiments towards silicon wafers are carried out under the different processing parameters on the semi-fixed abrasive plates, and 180# SiC is used as large grains. The processed workpieces’ surface roughness Rv are measured. The experimental results show that the surface quality of wafer will be worse because of higher load and faster rotating velocity. And it can make a conclusion that the higher proportion of bond of the plate, the weaker of the ‘trap’ effect it has. Furthermore the wet environment is better than dry for the wafer surface in machining. The practice shows that the ‘trap’ effect is failure when the workpiece is machined by abrasive plate which is 4.5wt% proportion of bond in dry lapping.

Functional food is evolving constantly, trying to satisfy everyday needs for macro and micronutrients. Protein-rich food is highly demanded, due to protein’s structural role in tissue formation, cell reparation, and hormone and enzyme production. Extruded products prepared of cornmeal, mechanically deboned poultry meat (MDPM) and brewer’s spent grain (BSG) were evaluated for their nutritional and physical properties. Addition of BSG and increase of MDPM share in the blend, resulted in significantly (p<0.05) better nutritional characteristics of obtained snacks, giving products with 14.4% and 12.0% protein content. BSG had significant (p<0.05) influence on extrudates’ physical properties: lateral expansion has dropped, (89.17% vs. 51.79%), length has increased (12.4 mm vs. 18 mm),while lower values of hardness and firmness of extrudates were registered as well. Also, incorporation of this brewing industry by-product in combination with a higher share of MDPM resulted in significantly (p<0.05) darker products. The results of this study showed that BSG and MDPM are perspective ingredients for nutritionally valuable ready-to-eat extruded products, but additional investigation is needed in order to optimise processing parameters and quality of obtained meat snacks

A study is performed on the properties of jute-pineapple leaf fiber (PALF) blended yarn and 100% jute yarn. The jute-PALF blend ratios of two counts of yarn (5 and 7 lbs/spy) are 70:30 and 80:20 respectively. The physical properties of the blended yarns such as load at break, strain at break, tenacity at break, tensile modulus and quality ratio are tested and measured. It is observed from the test results that the physical properties of the blended yarns are better than those of the 100% jute yarn. The experimental results also show that the physical and structural properties of the blended yarn changes with the increase of PALF in the blend ratio. So the blending of PALF has a positive impact on yarn properties. Another study is done, in which it is found that surface appearance properties like color strength (K/S value) and whiteness, yellowness and brightness indices of the blended yarns are almost the same as those of the jute yarn due to the blending of jute-PALF. Therefore, the blending ratio does not cause any notable changes in the natural color of the jute yarn.

To improve the playout quality of video streaming services, several adaptive media playout (AMP) mechanisms were proposed in literature. However, all performance evaluations and comparisons for AMPs were made in terms of quality of service (QoS) metrics. As one knows, there may exist a trade-off between QoS metrics, such as buffer underflow and overflow performance. Thus, it is not sufficient to only evaluate the performance of AMPs in terms of QoS metrics. In this paper, we will evaluate and compare the performance of several AMPs from the aspect of quality of experience (QoE). Numerical results will show that some existing AMP systems do not perform better than the nonadaptive playout system from the point of view of overall QoE.

The study was aim to determine the suitability of intersecting gilling machine in jute processing system. In this regard the machine was used for processing of jute fibre to yarn [1]. The third drawing sliver passed through the intersecting gilling of GN5 type into 4:1 input –output ratio of slivers. Yarns spun by this slivers through different types of spinning frame. Quality ratio of jute yarns produced from different spinning machines were measured. These were for Hessian Spinning machine is 84.17%, Apron draft spinning frame is 88.59% and Spingard spinning frame 96.34%. However for medium count jute-polypropylene blended yarn, the quality ratios are between 102- 112 and yarns were spun by hessian spinning frame. These results compared with the yarn produced through conventional jute spinning system (except intersecting Gilling machine, table 2). Findings of the study indicate a new era for the jute processing by using intersecting Gilling machine. It is observed that the introduction of Intersecting Gilling machine has a potential prospect in jute processing for making fine jute yarn. In today’s competitive environment, consumers are increasingly aware of alternatives on offer in relation to services and provider organizations and also of rising standards of service. Consequently, expectations rise and consumers become more critical of the quality of service. So companies can never afford to be complacent. In addition, knowledge of the costs and benefits of retaining consumers relative to attracting new ones draws company’s foremost attention to looking after present customers, responding to their needs and problems, and developing long term relationships. In view of this widespread belief, an attempt has been made in the present paper to study service quality in commercial banks with a view to offer suggestions to make overall service quality in banks more effective and efficient. The results of the study lead us to the conclusion that service quality of foreign banks is comparatively much better than Indian banks and suggests heavy investment by Indian banks in tangibility dimension to improve the quality of service to the customers.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a telecommunications technology that is able to pass the communication service in Internet Protocol networks so as to allow communicating between users in an IP network. However VoIP technology still has weakness in the Quality of Service (QoS). VOPI weaknesses is affected by the selection of the physical servers used. In this research, VoIP is configured on Linux operating system with Asterisk as VoIP application server and integrated on a Raspberry Pi by using wired and wireless network as the transmission medium. Because of depletion of IPv4 capacity that can be used on the network, it needs to be applied to VoIP system using the IPv6 network protocol with supports devices. The test results by using a wired transmission medium that has obtained are the average delay is 117.851 ms, jitter is 5.796 ms, packet loss is 0.38%, throughput is 962.861 kbps, 8.33% of CPU usage and 59.33% of memory usage. The analysis shows that the wired transmission media is better than the wireless transmission media and wireless-wired.
