ABSTRACT[Capacity of student critical thinking through learning base on ecosystem study of water river]. South Bengkulu one of regencies in Bengkulu Province, located west in of the Bukit Barisan Mountains range which has a height of 600-1200 meters above sea level. South Bengkulu has a lot natural wealth that can be utilized as a medium of learning. This research aims to measure the ability of critical thinking and process skill student of class VII MTN 2 south Bengkulu by utilizing environment-based teaching materials. This research uses observation data collection techniques and test (pre test and post test ) Assessment of process skill conducted on two learning activities that is indoor and out door learning activities. Performance of process skill from student of class VII MTsN 2 South Bengkulu including into the category excellent and good while student critical thinking skills classically including into the critical categoryKeywords: student critical thinking skills; environment-based teaching materials’ pre test and post test.(Received November 19, 2018; Accepted April 15, 2019; Published June 18, 2019) ABSTRAKBengkulu Selatan adalah salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Bengkulu terletak di sebelah barat pegunungan Bukit Barisan di mana ketinggian pegunungan tersebut rata-rata 600-1200 m diatas permukaan laut (dpl) yang mempunyai banyak kekayaan alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Mengukur kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa dan ketrampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Bengkulu Selatan dengan memanfaatkan bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan tes (pre test dan Post test). Penilaian keterampilan proses ini dilakukan pada dua kegiatan pembelajaran indoor dan kegiatan pembelajaran outdoor. Kemampuan kinerja keterampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 bengkulu Selatan termasuk kedalam kategori sangat baik dan Baik dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara klasikal termasuk kedalam kategori Kritis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan, Pre test dan post test.

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students and learning activities that do not stimulate the emergence of students' skills in mathematics. Researcher found the obstacle learning experienced by students when solving problems in the matriks material. So that researchers create innovations by making matrix teaching materials based on critical thinking skills in anticipation of didactic as well as using CMI models which are packaged into learning activities as pedagogical anticipation The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and practicality of teaching materials. This research belongs to the type of development research. Module was developed using a qualitative approach. The development method carried out is the DDR stage. The data collection technique was by test and non-test. The instruments used are test questions and questionnaires. The subjects in this study were 25 students of class XI MIPA 3 of SMAN 1 Lohbener. The results of the study are: based on cumulative validation calculations, teaching materials obtain a validity percentage of 90.68% with validity interpretations which are very valid. Then based on cumulative practicality calculations, teaching materials get a practical percentage of 73% with practicality interpretations namely practical.ini dilatar belakangi karena rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan aktivitas pembelajaran yang kurang memacu munculnya keterampilan siswa dalam bermatematika. Peneliti menemukan learning obstacle yang dialami siswa saat menyelesaikan permasalahan pada materi matriks. Sehingga peneliti menciptakan inovasi dengan membuat bahan ajar matriks berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis sebagai antisipasi didaktis juga menggunakan model CMI yang dikemas menjadi aktivitas belajar sebagai antisipasi pedagogis Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan dan kepraktisan bahan ajar. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian pengembangan. Desain bahan ajar dikembangkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengembangan yang dilakukan adalah tahapan DDR. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan tes dan non tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adlah soal tes dan angket. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN 1 Lohbener. Hasil penelitian adalah: berdasarkan perhitungan validasi secara kumulatif, bahan ajar memperoleh persentase kevalidan sebesar 90,68% dengan interpretasi kevalidan yaitu sangat valid. Kemudian berdasarkan perhitungan uji praktikalitas secara kumulatif, bahan ajar mendapatkan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 73% dengan interpretasi kepraktisan yaitu praktis.

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to think critically. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the Controversial Issues (CI) learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The study design used Nonequivalent [Pre-Test and Post-Test] Control Groups Design (NCGD). The research samples were fourth grade students of SDN 4 Metro Timur, SDN 5 Metro Timur, SDN 8 Metro Timur, and SDN 10 Metro Timur, 60 students were used as the experimental class and 60 students were used as the control class. Data collection tools in the form of sheets about students' critical thinking skills. Data collection techniques in the form of tests, namely pretest to measure the initial ability of students' critical thinking skills and posttest to see the final ability. Based on the results of the study concluded that the effectiveness of the use of the Controversial Issues learning model affects the critical thinking skills of class IV elementary school students, so that students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class are much better when compared to the control class that has conventional learning. This study aims to describe the TGT model assisted by petting games to improve students' critical thinking skills. This class action research will be carried out in class IV SDN Pati Wetan 03 with research subjects 35 students and teachers planned in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interview, documentation, and test techniques. Analysis of the data used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. Results Increased student learning activities attitudes in the first cycle of 75.5 and increased in the second cycle to 80.5. Whereas the students' learning activities aspects of skills in the first cycle amounted to 70.5 and increased in the second cycle to 79.7. Increased students' critical thinking skills in the first cycle by 70.2 and increased in the second cycle to 81.6. The results of the study can be concluded that the results of the application of the model assisted by plete playing media can improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is motivated by the competence of teachers in preparing poor learning outcomes tests and has not been able to measure high-level thinking skills, especially critical thinking skills. Therefore the researcher seeks to improve teacher competence in compiling tests on student learning outcomes based on critical thinking skills through academic supervision. This study uses a school action research design that has stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted for 2 months starting April 9 to May 17, 2019 for Physics teachers in the 7 target schools. Data is sourced from interviews with teachers and test documents prepared by the teacher. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis through the stages of data collection, data simplification, data presentation, conclusion drawing. Data were analyzed using assessment rubrics adjusted to indicators of critical thinking skills. The results of this study conclude that teacher competence in preparing tests of learning outcomes based on critical thinking skills has increased from the first cycle with a percentage of 61% with sufficient categories to 76% with good categories in cycle II.

In 21st century learning, critical thinking skills are the main choice that must be mastered by students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of local wisdom-based science teaching materials in improving junior high school students’ critical thinking skills. Most science teachers still apply teacher-centered learning, so students tend to be passive. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The subjects of the research were grade VII students. Data collection techniques and instruments in the form of tests that include indicators of critical thinking skills. Data analysis used homogeneity test, Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test, independent sample t-test, and n-gain score. The results of the independent sample t-test are sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000<sig. α = 0.05. Students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental class were higher (N-gain score = 39.09%) than in the control class (N-gain score = 12.03%). Based on the study results, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the application of local wisdom-based teaching materials in improving the critical thinking skills of middle school students in the moderate category.

The goals of this research are : determine learning achievement in students' critical thinking during the learning using the medium of comics Islam. This research is a research experiment using two classes; kontrol one class and one class treatment. In this study using respondents 72 students to test experimental comic learning media Islam. This research aims to improve student achievement in students' critical thinking about the use of pre test, post test and student questionnaire responses. Data from these assessments were analyzed using SPSS. 18.0 with Anacova test. The results showed that: (1) there is a relationship between learning achievement with the critical thinking skills of students because the p value (Sig.) Of <0.05, (2) there is a relationship between the media with critical thinking skills of students because the p value (Sig.) <0:05 and (3) there is influence student achievement and learning media to the critical thinking skills of students because the p value (Sig. Corrected Model) <0.05. Keywords : Islamic comics as learning resources, student testing grades, and critical thought.

Abstract: The science learning process emphasizes providing direct experience to develop competencies in order to be able to explore and understand the nature around scientifically. students can gain direct experience, so they can add strength to accept and apply the concepts they have learned. Integrated science learning deals with the way students think and develop critical thinking skills. These skills include the ability to think critically, think creatively, and problem solving abilities. Modules are printed teaching materials that are designed to be independently studied by students, Module development is done to improve students' critical thinking skills.

The demand of KKNI curriculum in the 21st century is about the equality of learning achievement covering attitudes and values, work ability, scientific mastery, authority and responsibility. For that, PGSD graduates of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University (UST) Yogyakarta are expected to be able to design the learning activities, which is in line with the development of science, and technology, which is on the same time, are able to bring Indonesian cultural value into it. The graduates’ competence are presented in their abilities to develop elementary school learning activities based on the Science Environment Technology and Society (SETS) and integrate local wisdom into it. The purpose of this research is to describe the skills of critical thinking of PGSD students in developing SETS-based learning integrated with local wisdom and also along with the indicators that appear in each skill aspect. This is a type of quantitative descriptive research with non-test data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. While the main instruments are in the form of Student Worksheet (LKM), the observation sheet towards the indicators of critical thinking skills. Data analysis techniques is done by using descriptive statistics interpretation through several answering criteria: very good, good, fair, poor, and very poor which is then the results are presented in the form of tables. The results showed that the average critical thinking ability of PGSD UST students was 69.24% with can be categorized in good criteria. Indicator of every critical thinking skills aspect has appeared, even though some targets of achievements have not been optimally gained yet.
