This objective of the study was to describe The Esteem Need . How does healthy self esteem manifest in Margaret Tate’s life viewed from term the psychology self esteem theory. The data analyzed by using the kind of qualitative research. This study tells about Margaret Tate is the professionally well-respected but personally loathed senior editor at a prestigious New York publishing house. Margaret learns that she is being deported back to Canada on expiration of her work visa. To avoid that deportation she and Andrew are engaged and about to get married. In private with Margaret, Andrew agrees to her proposal on the guarantee that he immediately gets promoted to editor and that his own manuscript. From the result of the research showed that Psychological needs have been part of the human needs for life, especially Self-Esteem Needs. It is a powerful of human need and It is life process; the feeling of being worthy, deserving; Experience that we  are appropriate to life and to the requirements of life. Keywords :psychology, self-esteem, life proccess, awarness

<p>The aim of the research is to find out how motivation is reflected by the main characters in the movie “42”, the effort that Jackie and Rickey make in order to fulfill the needs and to analyze the influence of personality on motivation of the main characters. The writer uses qualitative descriptive research in observing the motivation of the main characters of the Movie “42”. The writer limited the data which are classified them into different level needs based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Need theory. However, the writer sees that the main characters had different level of needs structure as their salient. Such as : As for Jackie, the writer found that from 5 level of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs, there were 2 salient needs; the belongingness and love needs, and the self-esteem need. As for Rickey, there was just 1 need he had to fulfill; the self-actualization need. The writer also noticed the process to fulfill the needs from one level needs to the higher one was not always in a hundred percent to be fulfilled, otherwise the lower need could partly fulfilled so we could go to the higher one as motivation.  <br /> <br />Key words: Motivation, Personality, Racism, Hierarchy of Human Needs</p>

"The Man Who Believes" the book of the novel Najib Kailani. This novel tells about the motives for the conviction of human needs. And about the man who believed in the way of women. The human psychological analysis in literature focuses on the texts of literature in which the image of the hierarchy of human needs, and uses the human psychological theory of Abraham Maslow is the Pyramid of Human Needs. The questions in this research are how the person and personality, and how the pyramid of needs in the main person in the novel "The Man Who Believes" to Najib Kailani. The objectives of research are to know the person and personality and to know the Pyramid of Human Needs in the main person in this novel. This research is qualitative research using the descriptive approach, and the process of analyzing the data is to read this novel and identify the person who relates to this research. The results of the research are led by the person, especially the main person, Erian and the Syams, and the analysis of the pyramid of the five needs. There is the physiological need, the security needs, the needs of love and conviction, the need for self-esteem and the needs of self-realization."

The enduring quality of "The Cask of Amontillado" makes it a timeless classic in which researchers from different generations offer a variety of subjective interpretations. This study aims to look closer to the story of "The Cask of Amontillado" to reveal other underlying themes. The themes were identified using content/textual analysis and a humanistic literary approach in interpreting meanings. The themes discovered involve excessive self-esteem, a penchant for prestige, lusting for another's good fortune (envy), and love deprivation. These themes, in a way, express the psychological needs of humans reflected in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Left unsatisfied, these basic human needs (self-esteem, prestige, and love) led to the characters' downfall because their thoughts and actions were inconsistent with ethical conduct. Findings of the study may add to the existing interpretations of the story, which primarily discuss and look into the various facets of its overarching theme of revenge along with Montressor’s mental condition.

The micro-housing project introduced by Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) has received cynical rumours amongst the B40 income group due to its impracticality, thus suggesting that micro-housing standard is misinterpreted and simplified. As such, this paper intends to investigate the potentiality of ideal micro-housing that is suitable for the Malaysian context, specifically for the B40 community. Based on a bottom-up approach, this research divides into the micro and macro study. In the micro-study, the focus is specifically on the typological design of micro-housing. Hence this leads to a macro context, which developed the typological analysis in regards to the regional cultural influence. In thoroughly, from seven (7) international precedents, micro-housing can be formulated into four main typologies that include Box, Mobile, Machine, and Props type. These typologies incline towards two (2) cultural domains, namely Possession Domesticity, which demonstrates Westerners influence through technological advancement and Transience Domesticity that portrays Orientalist influenced by the mixture of practicality and human psychology. These attributes tested in three (3) local micro-housing projects that consist of two prototypes by local architect and a built micro-housing project by DBKL. The result shows that both prototypes are potentially ideal. However, DBKL’s built project demonstrated a minimal standard of appropriate micro-housing living. It founds that the lack of axiological human needs may lead to a degradation of values and behaviour. Thus, it significantly recommends that the projects reconsider of adapting the psychological needs for the betterment of its user’s living.Keywords: micro-living, adaptable housing typology, regional cultural study, psychological needseISSN: 2398-4287 © 2019. Every human being needs the need to be able to continue living one of the things that is needed is the esteem needs. This study aimed to find the esteem need from Frank William Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can novel by Frank W. Abagnale Jr. which is a real story of the main character, Frank W. Abagnale. This novel was once the best seller in New York published in 1980 which tells the story of a person who is an expert in fake checks, manipulate identities and run away to fulfill life's needs and recognition of the status, achievements and identity of a character. The theory used in this paper is based on Abraham Maslow's theory. Abraham Maslow described the needs of human life in the form of a Pyramid, where the most basic parts are the most important needs in human life. This research that used by researcher is a qualitative research. The process of presenting research results uses informal methods by describing them through words. From the process of data analysis, it can be found that the main character Frank Abagnale in the novel “Catch Me if You Can” continues to struggle to fulfill his life needs as a human. It all started from the needs of Frank who wanted to meet the needs of self-esteem and recognition from people around his environment.

Trên thế giới, nhiều nghiên cứu về tự trọng đã được tiến hành trên nhóm khách thể là trẻ em và trẻ vị thành niên, tuy nhiên nhóm người trưởng thành từ 18 tuổi trở lên lại chưa nhận được sự quan tâm thích đáng. Ở Việt Nam, tình hình cũng tương tự, đặc biệt, các nghiên cứu về sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng (Self- Esteem) tiếp cận dựa trên khung lý thuyết của Abraham Maslow còn rất thiếu vắng. Mục đích của nghiên cứu này nhằm mô tả sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng của 301 người trưởng thành, độ tuổi 18 - 60 (Mean = 34.6, SD = 0.77) tại Việt Nam tiếp cận theo lý thuyết về Tháp nhu cầu của A. Maslow. Thang đo sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tâm lý (Psychological Needs Satisfaction) của David Lester và cộng sự (1990), được sử dụng trong nghiên cứu này. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy: (i) Sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng của người trưởng thành tại Việt Nam có điểm số trung bình cao nhất trong số 5 nhu cầu theo lý thuyết của A.Maslow; (ii) Các nhu cầu trong năm nhu cầu theo khung lý thuyết đều có mối tương quan mạnh với nhau, trong đó tương quan mạnh nhất là sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng với nhu cầu hiện thực hóa bản thân; (iii) Có sự khác biệt về sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng giữa các nhóm tuổi khác nhau và giữa các nhóm trình độ học vấn khác nhau, tuy nhiên chưa đủ bằng chứng để kết luận có sự khác biệt theo tiêu chí giới tính, địa bàn nghiên cứu, kiểu tính cách và mức thu nhập. It is alleged that the agricultural output in poor countries responds very little to movements in prices and costs because of subsistence-oriented produc¬tion and self-produced inputs. The work of Gupta and Majid is concerned with the empirical verification of the responsiveness of farmers to prices and marketing policies in a backward region. The authors' analysis of the respon¬siveness of farmers to economic incentives is based on two sets of data (concern¬ing sugarcane, cash crop, and paddy, subsistence crop) collected from the district of Deoria in Eastern U.P. (Utter Pradesh) a chronically foodgrain deficit region in northern India. In one set, they have aggregate time-series data at district level and, in the other, they have obtained data from a survey of five villages selected from 170 villages around Padrauna town in Deoria.

Abstract Objective Advancing social purpose in organizations is usually studied from the macro perspective, i.e., how it benefits organizational business goals or society more broadly. In this paper, we focus on social purpose from the perspective of the employee and propose that advancing social purpose in an organization allows individuals to fulfil an important human need for the meaning of work (MW). This study’s objective was to assess whether a volunteering Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in a manufacturing company allows employees to fulfil their basic psychological needs for relatedness, competence, and autonomy. The data was collected through in-depth interviews with 15 employees and an analysis of artifacts. Results In the analysis, three main themes describing different aspects of voluntary work at the company were identified. We found that across all groups of interviewed employees the voluntary activities served the needs of (1) relatedness, (2) competence, and (3) autonomy. We conclude that CSR programs have the most positive impact on MW when they allow employees to engage in prosocial actions and satisfy those needs.
