Background: Due to factors such as silk sequence, purification, degradation, morphology and functionalization, each silk variant should be individually tested for potential toxicity. Aim: In vivo toxicological evaluation of the previously characterized bioengineered H2.1MS1 spider silk particles that can deliver chemotherapeutics to human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive breast cancer. Materials & methods: Silk nanoparticles (H2.1MS1 and control MS1) were administered intravenously to mice, and then the organismal response was assessed. Several parameters of acute and subchronic toxicity were analyzed, including animal mortality and behavior, nanosphere biodistribution, and histopathological analysis of internal organs. Also, the complete blood count, as well as the concentration of biochemical parameters and cytokines in the serum, were examined. Results & conclusion: No toxicity of the systemically administrated silk nanosphere was observed, indicating their potential application in biomedicine.

There were infected neonatal piglets in the first days of their lives PED virus suspension derived from pigs previously PED patients. Diagnosis for PED in piglets donor virus PED was inserted complex method for clinical and epizootic performance and confirmed the identification PEDV by PCR-RT using the test system «EZ-RED/TGE/PDCoV MPX 1.0 Real time RT-PCR» company Tetracore (USA) Thermocyclers CFX 96 Real-Time System company BIO RAD (USA). Homogenate small intestine of pigs PEDV donor, prepared in a blender for PCR in a thick band of 18 animal carcasses, frozen at -18 °C without cryopreservation and kept 359 days. Before infecting pigs and strip defrost by RT-PCR identified the concentration of the virus genome equivalents (GE) without establishing viable virions quantitative pathogen. For Sample 20 selected analog neonatal piglets, divided them into 3 experimental groups (group 1 – 5 piglets, group 2 – 5 piglets and group 3 – 7 piglets) and one control (3 piglets). Research pigs infected per os virus-containing suspension with a concentration PEDV 1.03×106 GE/cm3. The dose for infection first group was 6 cm3 (6.18×106 GE/cm3), for the second – 5 cm3 (5,15 × 106 GE/cm3), for the third – 4 cm3 (4.12 GE×106/cm3) homogenate. The fourth group – control (not infected). All the pigs were in identical conditions that fully meet the physiological needs of the body. Of the 17 infected pigs only 2 was infected PEDV. PED was confirmed by laboratory methods. In bacteriological examination of internal organs of pigs that came out of a research experiment and control group were diagnosed colibacteriosis. In the control group was isolated from heart and intestinal non-pathogenic for white mice E. coli. From pigs 1 and 2 research groups has been allocated to white mice nonpathogenic E. coli, is set colibacteriosis; 2 experimental group found in one pig hemolytic E. coli; 3 experimental group from the internal organs of pigs in conjunction with non-pathogenic for mice intestinal former cane isolated Klesiella spp., is diagnosed with mixed infection (E. coli, Klesiella spp.). From the intestine of experimental and control pigs do not identified beneficial microflora – aerococcus, lactobacteria, bifidobacteria and cultured putrefactive anaerobic spore facultative and non spore microflora.

Purpose: to determine the role of nuclear medicine methods in the diagnosis and quality control of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with complications after coronavirus diseasr (COVID-19) The article provides a brief analysis of the incidence of COVID-19 and highlights the role of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from the consequences of coronavirus diseasr after the end of the pandemic. The most common clinical manifestation of coronavirus diseasr is bilateral interstitial pneumonia, one of the complications of which is the development of acute respiratory distress syndrome, its pathogenesis is highlighted. It is also noted that the leading link in the development of the disease is a systemic lesion of the endothelial vascular wall, which is the cause of thrombosis and its complications, primarily pulmonary embolism, ischemic brain infarctions and cardiovascular catastrophes. Specific methods of radionuclide diagnostics are described for individual organs and systems: respiratory, cardiovascular, brain, and others. The need to diagnose and control the quality of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with post-inflammatory changes in the parenchyma of internal organs and a decrease in their functional ability due to sclerotic changes, patients with changes in the state due to the transition of inflammation to the chronic stage, as well as with an overactive immune response to inflammatory changes. Conclusion: at the stage of diagnosis and treatment of the consequences of a previous coronavirus diseasr and subsequent rehabilitation, molecular imaging methods are essential in a complex of studies.

The article deals with the influence of Farmazin® and Tilocyclinvet® on the microbiological, chemical and microscopic characteristics of slaughtering products of broiler chickens. We have been studied the histological changes in the internal organs of broiler chickens under the influence of antibacterial drugs usage. Use of Farmazin and Tilocyclinvet as the antibacterial drugs for broiler chickens did not affect the microflora in the studied samples of poultry meat. We also investigated the microbiological parameters such as mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms, Escherichia coli bacteria, Proteus, Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and proved that Farmazin is mostly accumulated in «white» muscle, while Tilocyclinvet – in “red” ones. Results of the chemical analysis shown that the pH of meat in the bird groups that were fed on Farmazin (experimental I), Tilocyclinvet (experimental II) and control groups ranged from 5.64 ± 0.04 to 6.30 ± 0.03. We performed some tests concerning fresh meat and copper sulfate, peroxidase, ammonia and ammonium salts and suggested that meat of broiler chickens from the experimental and control groups con be preserved when refrigerated for three days and it is considered to be fresh. However, on the day 4 of storage pH value of chicken meat in the experimental group increases in the alkaline side; the results of reaction with copper sulfate, ammonium salts, ammonia, and ammonium salts testified the questionable freshness of meat from the experimental group at the end of the withdrawal period. We founded that pH value of broiler chicken meat from experimental group after withdrawal period shifts into the alkaline side comparing to the beginning of withdrawal period. We also registered that pH value of broiler chicken meat from experimental groups shifts into the alkaline side compared to control. Based on histological studies we can say that pathological changes registered in the internal organs of broiler chickens when using Farmazin and Tilocyclinvet were similar to each other and indicated some specific processes. We founded granular and fatty degeneration of hepatocytes, interstitial lymphocytic hepatitis, and fibrosis in the liver of broiler chickens; granular dystrophy of epithelial tubules, diffuse interstitial lymphocytic nephritis, and fibrosis – in kidneys; we also discovered swelling of intramuscular connective tissue and myocardial sclerosis in myocardium. The most obvious pathological changes were observed in broiler chickens, who were fed with Farmazin, somewhat less – in chickens who had got Tilocyclinvet at the beginning of the withdrawal period.

Introduction. During treatment of intussusception, the greatest difficulties occur when the disease is combined with other disorders and malformations.Materials and methods. Clinical observation on treatment in a child with bowel intussusception and malformation is presented. The course of the disease was rather difficult for exact diagnosis. Control of conservative disinvagination was inconclusive. During a surgery, a malrotation was detected. This affected the diagnostic and therapeutic tactics. The second component of obstruction represented by the abdominal adhesive process was also found and removed.Results. The conducted surgery allowed to confirm the effectiveness of the given conservative treatment, detect the concurrent pathology and remove the mechanical obstruction.Conclusion. The presented observation clearly demonstrates difficulties in exact diagnosis and control of conservative disinvaginaton when intestinal invagination is combined with congenital malrotation. As a result, the outcome of conservative disinvaginaton could be significantly controlled, commissure or the second component of invagination was removed and an exact diagnosis was made.

Summary. Precision agriculture is the term given to crop management methods which recognise and manage within-paddock spatial and temporal variations in the soil–plant–atmosphere system. This paper reviews the principles, practice and perceived benefits of precision agriculture. The objective of precision agriculture is to improve the control of input variables such as fertiliser, seed, chemicals or water with respect to the desired outcomes of increased profitability, reduced environmental risk or better product quality. The practice can be viewed as comprising 4 stages: information acquisition; interpretation; evaluation; and control. Much of the technology to acquire information and control machinery is available or at a late stage of development. However, methods of interpretation are less well developed.

Heterotaxy is a complicated symptom complex in which the location of the main internal organs differs from their normal and complete mirror reflection. Ivemark syndrome - a combination of spleen agenesis with congenital heart disease and abnormalities in the location of the abdominal organs. The exact reason is unknown. Mostly sporadic cases. Genetic and infectious-toxic factors that damage the differentiation of embryonic tissues between the 31st and 36th days of embryogenesis are discussed. The article presents a clinical observation of a patient with Ivemark syndrome, illustrating the difficulties of diagnosing congenital malformations. The peculiarity of this clinical case was determined by the combination of the syndrome with primary immunodeficiency and vascular malformation. Ivemark syndrome is a rare disease, therefore, the awareness of primary care physicians in relation to this pathology is low. Early diagnosis of primary immunodeficiency before a child is at risk of infection is extremely important. There is demonstrated an example of pharmacological correction, which allows prolonging the patient's life.

Total hip arthroplasty is the most effective way of treating coxarthrosis at a late stage. Total hip arthroplasty is especial effective in case of expressed dysplasia of hip. More than 27% of the patients operated on total hip arthroplasty were diagnosed by dysplasia of the hip, characterized by double-sided pathological process [1]. In most cases, dysplastic coxarthrosis leads to a significant deformation of the hip violating the professional adaptation of the patients. The main aspects of radical treatment of the dysplastic coxarthrosis, special operation techniques, and types of the implants are considered in this article. The effectiveness of the single-stage bilateral total hip arthroplasty with double-side pathological process was proven practically, with further observation of the treatment results.

Lethal bronzing (LB) is a phytoplasma disease of palms in Florida, U.S.A. Historically, the use of the antibiotic oxytetracycline-hydrochloride (OTC-HCl) was optimized to treat for LY, and currently label rates for OTC-HCl developed for LY are being used to treat palms preventatively against LB. Because of the economic impact of LB, assessing OTC-HCl against LB is essential for developing and optimizing management options for this disease. In this study, Sabal palmetto palms declining from LB were injected with OTC-HCl to assess efficacy on LB. Four groups of palms were selected that represented healthy palms, early symptomatic palms, palms with moderate symptoms, and palms with late-stage symptoms. Within each group, treatment palms injected with OTC-HCl and a control group with no antibiotics were tested weekly by quantitative PCR for 1 year. For asymptomatic palms, treated palms never developed symptoms or tested positive, whereas one of the control palms did. The early symptomatic palms that were treated had similar levels of phytoplasma to the control group but had much slower symptom development. Palms with moderate symptoms had no difference in titer between the treatment and the control group, but treated palms had much slower symptom development. Palms with late-stage symptoms showed no difference in phytoplasma titer or symptom progression between treated and control palms. These results suggest that label rates of OTC-HCl appear useful as a preventative against LB, but once symptoms develop, label rates cannot cure palms. In the meantime, removal of symptomatic palms is recommended.

It is grounded theoretical and methodological means of use of natural and programmable visual aids when studying the anatomy of domestic animals, in particular the organization of individual work of students in modern conditions and its place in the educational system of modern higher educational institution. The question concerning the methodological ensuring of the individual preparation of students was elucidated in conditions of credit system education and ways to solve it on an example of one of the normative discipline of curriculum of preparation the Master of veterinary medicine – anatomy of domestic animals. It is presented the educational and methodical developments on the organization of independent preparation of students on anatomy of domestic animals, including the use of colored programmable tables painted and electrified natural bone drugs of domestic animals: skulls, stands-training equipment of limbs bones, including scapula, shoulder, hip and other bones. By the originality of electrified colored preparation of the sagittal sawing of cow skeleton is that it is possible to study the structure of the various parts of the skull, spine, extremities at the same time features in the structure of the bones of these departments. In order to study the sections “osteology” and “syndesmology” and control interrogation of students at the department, are widely used also programmable stands – simulator of bones and joints of thoracic and pelvic limbs. The value of these stands – simulators is because it's natural anatomical preparations. These simulators are especially useful for students, to give them the opportunity to study and define all the details of the structure of bones and joints of the extremities of 4 species in no time. Next to osteological preparations were produced and implemented in the educational process the programmable training of the limb muscles, dry painted programmable preparations of the internal organs. These preparations make it possible to students to see life-size and topography of the internal organs, different colors and aggravate students' attention to certain parts of bodies. Attached to these drugs booklets with the label to them in Latin and Ukrainian languages enable students to learn the material on their own and to conduct self-control. So at the Department of Anatomy are widely used the programmable and electrified preparations of bone joints, muscles, natural dry painted preparations of internal organs for learning, self-training and knowledge control of students.
