Several studies have shown that the role of elementary school, kindergarten and PAUD (Early Childhood Education) teachers in early detection of toddler growth and development is very important in efforts to monitor and detect early childhood growth and development. This study aims to analyze the influence of role play learning methods using MCH books to improve the ability of teachers to detect children's growth and development. The design of this study was static group comparison. The study subjects were 100 PAUD Teachers in Poncol District, Magetan Regency, which were divided into treatment and control groups. Data was collected through questionnaires and observations using a checklist. Differences in the ability to detect growth and development of children between the two groups were analyzed using the t test. The results of data analysis show that there was an influence of the use of role play on the ability to detect growth, development and mental emotional problems in children. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode pembelajaran role play penggunaan buku KIA untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru untuk mendeteksi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Desain penelitian ini adalah static group comparison. Subyek penelitian adalah 100 Guru PAUD di Kecamatan Poncol, Kabupaten Magetan, yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner dan observasi menggunakan checklist. Perbedaan kemampuan deteksi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak antara kedua kelompok dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan role play terhadap kemampuan deteksi pertumbuhan, perkembangan dan masalah mental emosional pada anak. The need for stimulation or efforts to stimulate children to introduce new knowledge or skills is very important in improving children's intelligence. Stimulation in children can be started since the baby is a fetus, because the fetus is not a passive creature. In the womb, the fetus is able to breathe, kick, stretch, move, swallow, suck the thumb, and others. While the main stimulation is given specifically for children aged 0-7 years (Siswono, 2004). PAUD teacher's understanding and awareness of the importance and influence of parental education on child development vary. Many do not understand the characteristics of early childhood development, stimulation, and implementation of early detection of early childhood growth and development. Asih Waluyo Jati Clinic is a Pratama clinic that has a program about child development. With community service at the Asih Waluyo Jati Primary Clinic, it is expected that the knowledge and understanding of PAUD teachers on the characteristics of growth and development, simulation, and implementation of early detection of early childhood growth and development can be increased. The activity was carried out at the Pratama Asih Waluyo Jati Clinic on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 09.00 to 15.00 with material about problems of child growth and development in Indonesia, the importance of monitoring children's growth and development, the participation of teachers and parents in child development, how to detect children's growth and how to detect a child's development. The methods used in this activity include lectures, questions and answers, and role-play. Most of the participants understood what early detection and stimulation of children's growth and development were. But about the types and ways of early detection that must be done many do not understand. The participant's lack of understanding about the types and methods of early detection of children when training has not been conducted is likely because since they have never attended training and there has been no socialization from the education office related to monitoring child development. After being given the material, the participants understood that the types of early detection were detection of growth, development, and mental-emotional. Stimulation is very important as a form of intervention so that the child's growth and development can take place optimally.Keywords: early childhood, stimulation, early detection, growth, development

Impaired growth and development of children can be identified by early detection as prevention, prevention, stimulation and development. This study aims to determine the effect of early detection assistance models on the ability of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in implementing early detection of early childhood growth and development. The research method uses pretest and posttest design with control group. Providing training and mentoring for PAUD teachers using the Stimulation of Detection and Early Intervention Growing Swell (SDIDTK)/ Child Development Pre-screening Questionnaire (KPSP) for the intervention group while for the control group for PAUD teachers by being given a KPSP booklet after the posttest. The results of the analysis showed that there were differences in scores of PAUD teachers' knowledge and skills in stimulating early childhood growth and development (p=0.001) between the intervention group and the control group after the mentoring model intervention. The knowledge of PAUD teachers who are given a mentoring model is better than the control group, there are significant differences in improving the ability of PAUD teachers to do early detection in children compared to the control group. PAUD teachers who are given the intervention of the mentoring model.

WESTERN DISCOURSES OF EARLY childhood pedagogy promote a play-based approach to learning, growth and development. However, play is a contested concept. Educators' understandings can vary from allowing freedom for children to play without interference, through to a range of adult engagement levels. The Australian Early Years Learning Framework adopts a play-based approach to children's growth and development, though says little about adult roles or intentionality in play. This paper draws from recent research that explored educators' beliefs and understandings of their roles as intentional teachers within indoor and outdoor learning environments. Findings highlighted differences between role and responsibility perceptions whereby educators shifted roles from teacher to supervisor between contexts. Drawing on Vygotsky's sociocultural approach that regards play as a social event and the leading source of development, promoting cognitive, emotional and social development in young children (Connery, John-Steiner & Marjanovic-Shane, 2010), we believe that a re-examination of the role of the educator in children's play requires specific attention. Finally, based on the research, we contest the notion of ‘free play’. This paper suggests that by acknowledging the role of the educator as an intentional teacher both indoors and outdoors, and emphasising the complexity of the educator role, a more robust definition of play that is reflective of contemporary early childhood contexts and curricula can evolve to strengthen educator understanding and practice.

From an Islamic point of view, children are a mandate given by Allah to their parents, to provide good and healthy education, involving families is a place for children to learn, communicate, communicate, and behave towards the environment associated with it, and a children will always need a lot of attention and affection from both parents. The role of parents in the development of early childhood education from an Islamic point of view must be able to provide an explanation of all the children born in a state of nature, instill monotheism and aqeedah truly to children, teach children to help prayer, teach children to read the Koran, motivate children to always pray, teach children to always be grateful, motivate children to worship at the mosque, teach children to always be naked, teach children to always maintain the cleanliness of the body, and teach children to love each other God's creatures. By involving parents in providing education that contains Islamic religious values, it is expected that these early childhood children can support the process of adaptation to the outside environment, bearing in mind that these early childhood have strong character and faith in the process of development of growth and development for child.

The evolution of such terms as growth, differentiation, development, morphogenesis etc. is discussed. It is proposed that the term (notion) development should be understood to comprise "growth", "differentiation" and even "abscission, abortion and necrosis". The term "development" is already used in such a way by some authors. The relations among the phenomena denoted by the above terms are presented in a graphic form to show that they partly overlap. The concept that growth and development represent quantitative and qualitative aspects (respectively) of plant augmentation is criticized. The newly introduced terms "development hormone" or "development regulator" seem more suitable than "growth hormone" and "growth regulator", however, these later ones are correct and may be used. The traditional term "phytohormone" and the newly introduced one "phytoregulator" seem convenient, but it must be kept in mind that such substances may transmit information both on a chemical basis as well as on a biophysical one. An example here can be auxin; a change in the wavy character of its transport may serve as information. In some cases a complex of two or more substances may play the role of a hormone, for instance ACC and ethylene, of which one is easily transportable but little active and the other is very active but exerts its action rather locally. Other combinations of activities may exist in other such pairs.

Abstract Background Helicobacter pylori infection is known to alter growth-related hormones and affect growth in young children. However, i t is still unknown whether maternal H. pylori infection has an impact on the levels of cord blood growth-related hormones and whether this can predict intrauterine growth restriction and poor physical and neurodevelopmental outcomes in children. This study aimed to examine associations between maternal H. pylori infection and pregnancy-related adverse events, fetal growth and early childhood development. Methods In this prospective cohort study, we recruited singleton pregnant women without major medical illnesses from January 2014 to January 2015. Seropositivity for H. pylori was defined as >12 U/ml of anti- H. pylori IgG in maternal serum. Demographic data and pregnancy-related medical issues of the cohort were documented. Cord blood levels of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3), insulin, and ghrelin were determined using ELISA. The growth of the included neonates was monitored annually for up to 3 years, and cognitive development was assessed using the comprehensive developmental inventory for infants and toddlers (CDIIT) test 3 years after birth. Results Of the 106 enrolled women, 25 (23.6%) were H. pylori -seropositive. Maternal H. pylori seropositivity was correlated with a higher risk of developing gestational hypertension (GH) (12% vs. 1.2%, p =0.04) and lower cord blood levels of IGF-1 (<35 ng/ml, 70.0% vs. 40.7%, p =0.02) and IGFBP-3 (<1120 ng/ml, 100.0% vs. 76.3%, p =0.02) compared with the seronegative women. No significant impacts on birth weight, childhood growth and cognitive development were found to be correlated with maternal H. pylori seropositivity during pregnancy. Conclusions Maternal H. pylori infection during pregnancy was more likely to lead to the development of GH, but was not correlated with fetal and childhood growth and development. In addition to close monitoring of hypertension, H. pylori eradication can be considered for mothers with H. pylori infection .

Stimulation is an activity to stimulate the basic abilities of children aged 0-6 years so that the child grows and develops optimally. Every child needs to receive regular stimulation as early as possible and continuously at every opportunity. This study aims to determine the analysis of the Stimulation Training Program for children through the Detection of Child's growth and development on the ability of school cadres to stimulate early childhood growth and development. This research method is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design. The type of sampling is two-stage random sampling. The sample of this research is school cadres of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) consisting of 16 Schools for Playgroups (KB), 32 Schools of Right-Kindergarten (TK), and 2 Schools of Child Care (TPA) in the Limboto Health Center Work Area. The results showed that there was a significant and significant effect of development detection training on the ability of school cadres to simulate child growth. The ability of school cadres to stimulate children's growth and development has increased knowledge before and after training. There is a significant and significant effect of developmental detection training on the ability of school cadres to stimulate child development. It is necessary to empower cadres evenly and periodically by related parties (the Health Office and Pusekesmas) in order to improve the growth and development screening skills carried out by school cadres. It is also hoped that this will improve the child's health status so that the child can grow and develop properly.
