This study had the purpose of analyzing dominant and non-dominant limb performances (frequency of use and accuracy) during match-play technical actions with ball possession (receiving, passing, and shooting a ball) in professional futsal and also check for the possible influence of playing position and the quality of opponent. We have analyzed data pertaining to eight matches of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012™ in which 76 male professional senior futsal players participated (44 right-footed and 32 left-footed). In total, we coded 5,856 actions (2,550 ball receptions, 3,076 passes, and 230 shoots). Our main findings were that (a) players used the dominant limb more frequently than the non-dominant limb for all actions considered [p < 0.001; effect size (ES) medium-to-large]; (b) accuracy was generally greater when using the dominant limb, regardless of the quality of opponent (p < 0.01; ES large); and (c) in shooting actions, pivots showed similar accuracy between dominant and non-dominant limbs (p = 0.51; ES small). The study suggested that when completing technical actions with the ball in futsal, high-level players depended to a greater extent on the use of their dominant lower limb during official matches. Excepting a similarity detected between limbs on shooting performance of pivots, players from all positional roles generally showed a higher accuracy rate in receiving, passing, and shooting a ball when using their dominant limb as compared to their non-dominant one during match-play and the limb usage and accuracy seemed to be independent of the quality of opponents.

Viewing sports events was always qualitatively different from the viewing experience of other genres. The social experience and emotional investment of sports viewers created unique viewing habits, in which second screens and social media effectively extend the experience of the millions of concurrent sports viewers wishing to share their feelings with each other. The enormous popularity of Whatsapp groups in recent years, and especially sports-focused groups, has made this app an integral element in event viewing, and created a unique viewing dynamic. This study analyzes the discourse in Whatsapp sports groups in Israel as its members view the 2018 World Cup soccer games, in an effort to identify the new role of second screens during sports broadcasts. An analysis of group messages shared by Whatsapp sports groups whose members cover a diverse range of ages and geographic locations basically shows that, in contrast to other media genres in which second screening is not necessarily related to the content broadcast on the primary screen, sports fans demonstrate an absolute commitment to the primary broadcast when second screening. On a deeper level, this study identified four main functions of Whatsapp groups during sports broadcasts: a social agent that supervises and controls the nature and quality of the primary screen broadcast, the generator of discourse that extols viewers’ expertise and effectively challenges traditional sport hierarchies, an active role in game management as fans attempt to influence game outcomes, and a means for extending fans’ celebrations of victory beyond the boundaries of the game.

This article presents a model for assessing the quality of interlingual live subtitling, as carried out by way of respeaking and automatic speech recognition or other means. The first part reviews the requirements and formulas for quality assessment in intralingual live subtitling and presents the NER model, developed by the first author, which serves as a foundation for the new model. Drawing on insights from the literature on both prerecorded interlingual subtitling and simultaneous interpreting, the authors then introduce the NTR model, an NER-based formula for calculating the accuracy rate of (interlingual) live subtitles. The model features a set of categories for scoring the accuracy of content and form as well as a three-level grading scale for translation and recognition errors. The application of the NTR model is exemplified, highlighting the role of the accuracy rate as part of an overall qualitative assessment.

Already in the Middle Ages, in times of the first universities, education was an important source of knowledge and social status. Nowadays, education, together with its quality and level of teaching, is used as a means of pursuing national interests abroad, as well as influencing local elites, and sometimes even a larger population. High level and good quality of education is one of factors contributing to the relationship between states. The role of education as regards international prestige and the position of individual states has risen in recent years chiefly due to major changes in the global economy and a corresponding shift of values, values which have become important for the modernization of societies. Abstract Customer centricity is gaining importance as companies are gaining access to increasing amount and quality of individual-level data on identifiable customers. However, efforts to enhance customer centricity often face challenges as they imply organization-wide effort. This paper explores the role of environment-level factors, organization-level factors (in terms of structure, influence and culture) and department-level factors (in terms of integration, power and capabilities) in driving customer centricity of a firm. Results indicate that, while within-category competition stimulates customer centricity, the cross-category competitive intensity limits it. Moreover, marketing competences exhibit highly significant impact which even diminishes the role of inter-departmental integration. Lastly, results show that firms with high level of marketing capabilities and the right culture (in terms of tolerance for failure and availability of slack resources) are likely to exhibit higher levels of customer centricity.

Telecommunication industries are experiencing substantial problems related to the migration of customers due to a large number of competing companies, dynamic circumstances, as well as the presence of many innovative and attractive offerings. The situation has resulted in a high level of customer migration, affecting a decrement toward the company revenue. Regarding that condition, the customer churn is one well-know approach that can help in increasing the company's revenue and reputation. As to predict the reason behind the migration of customer, this study proposed a data mining classification technique by applying the C4.5 algorithm. Patterns generated by the model were implemented using 10-fold cross-validation, resulting in a model with an accuracy rate of 87%, precision 87.5%, and a recall of 97%. Based on the good performance quality of the model, it can be stated that the C4.5 algorithm succeeded to discover several causes from the migration of telecommunication users, in which price holds the top place as the primary reason

The aim of this job is to know the existing relationship between the task of caring patients with Alzheimer's disease, caregivers' gender and their level of academic studies. Descriptive study, 69 persons diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and their respective familiar caregivers as subjects of the study. Age, gender, academic level, burden, depression, anxiety level, quality of life and social loneliness have been measured in caregivers. Age, gender, dependency level and neuropsychological state have been measured in patients. Data collection was done in 2016. Logistic regression analysis was performed. Caregivers with high levels of academic studies suffer more burden, being women in their majority. They are more likely to present social loneliness and higher levels of anxiety and a worse quality of life than men. The burden may be due to a greater number of responsibilities to respond to, and to the inability to combine it with the role of caregiver. We can conclude that women become victims of caring Alzheimer' patients.

Boosting student satisfaction with courses is undoubtedly a key challenge for higher education institutions. Our research was designed to understand better the role of the physical classroom environment, attitude toward the course, and perception of the quality of the course in forming student satisfaction with the course. Responses to paper-based surveys were collected during classes from students majoring in hospitality and tourism in 5 high-level universities in South Korea. We analyzed 401 responses by using a series of multiple regression analyses based on forward selection. The results showed that air quality, odor, noise, and equipment/amenity are essential physical classroom environment factors in determining attitude, perception of quality, and satisfaction. Attitude toward the course completely mediates the effect of odor on satisfaction, and quality partially mediates the impact of equipment/amenity on satisfaction. Overall, in this study we identified the salient role of certain features of the classroom physical environment in building students’ satisfaction with a course via attitudes toward, and evaluation of the quality of the course.
