There have been many cases of racism in its history that have occurred from ancient times to the present. Many factors cause racial conflicts. Factors that often trigger these actions, among others, are due to injustice, oppression, and racial discrimination by certain groups against other groups. In America itself, the era of slavery was a dark period in American history. This article aims to find out the impact and solutions to the problem of racism in general. How to find out the impact and solution to the problem of racism is to examine some of the cases that have occurred recently. The method used in this research is qualitative-descriptive with a literature review method to analyze data with 20 sources from books, journal articles, theses and websites. The findings of this study reveal that cases of racism still occur today, for example, last year because of the COVID-19 problem that initially occurred in Wuhan, China, Asian people received hatred from citizens and Western media. There are many factors that cause racial conflict, and the triggers vary in each country that experiences it, among others, because of injustice, oppression, and racial discrimination by certain groups against other groups. Through cases of racism that have occurred, one thing that according to the researcher can be concluded is how before the conflict between groups occurred, actually it started from problems that occurred between individuals. Tolerance is the main thing to stem this kind of thing.

This paper analyzes the religiosity of the Sundanese people in a historical approach, to be precise around the 19th century. The method used is the Historical Method which consists of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography stages. The results of the study show that the Sundanese people are known as religious people. Islam as a religion adopted by most of the Sundanese Tatar population has been acculturated with the local culture and with the noble values inherited by the Karuhun. In Sundanese society, Islamic teachings are often expressed with the taste of local traditions. Instead, local traditions are often given the breath of Islam, which further strengthens the religiosity of its adherents. In addition to carrying out the basic religious shari'ah, the religious expression of the Sundanese people is present in the form of religious holidays which are commemorated lively. Likewise, the stages of a person's life, such as birth, childhood, marriage, until death, have religious and cultural instruments attached to them.

Revivalism is used as a tool by modernists to respond to the domination of a group that eliminates the original values of the dominated people, ICMI was born as a new-political power to become the backbone of Muslims in offensive movements to combat the mushrooming boredom. Neo-revivalism was used as an ICMI maneuver during the New Order era, to return Islam to a social order, which was purely in accordance with past texts. ICMI gave birth to Republika Newspaper, a product to support the action; propaganda and columns to accommodate the aspirations of Muslims

This article discusses the Javanese tradition in the form of mitoni, the writing of this article aims to analyze the mitoni tradition carried out by people in Java, starting from the preparation before carrying out the mitoni tradition ceremony to the stage of implementing the mitoni tradition. The method used in writing this article is a literature study which is used as a source of data taken from journals and digital books, besides that the data collection technique also uses interview techniques conducted to actors who have carried out the mitoni tradition. The result of writing an article is in the form of a tradition which means that it is a habit that is carried out from the ancestors and then passed on from generation to generation from one generation to the next. In this article, we discuss the mitoni tradition. Mitoni is a tradition carried out by the Javanese people when a mother is pregnant with her first child at the age of seven months. This mitoni tradition usually includes the preparation of tools and materials before carrying out the mitoni tradition ritual, then doing the mitoni tradition starting from the bathing stage, splitting coconut ivory, changing seven kinds of cloth, selling dawet ice and rujak. Then when bathing, the dipper used is made of coconut shell. Furthermore, this article also discusses the meaning of the mitoni tradition which is also called tingkeban.

Before the existence of industrial technology, people in doing their job using their power. People were able to produce goods and sell services with their power. These activities are ineffective because they are constrained and take a long time, so the discovery of industrial technology is today. This study aims to determine the meaning of the industrial revolution, the history and development of the industrial revolution 1.0 to 4.0, the relationship between the industrial revolution and Indonesian history, and the influence of the industrial revolution in Indonesian manufacturing. Indonesian people do not understand what revolution means and how it relates to Indonesian history, where the current and former situation is very different because of a revolution, especially the industrial revolution. The discovery of industrial technology or industrial revolution makes human development become advanced and rapidly growing. In this study, the author uses a method in the form of a Literature Review (LR) or a literature review and data obtained from several articles that have been published and registered online. Technology is believed by many people to make their work easier and takes a short time. The development of technology became necessary because of the emergence of the industrial revolution 4.0 that changed human life. This article tries to review the understanding of the industrial revolution, its development history, and its influence on Indonesian manufacturing companies. The limitation or weakness of this research lies in the research process, namely the author's weakness in collecting the reference sources used.

K.H. Moenawar Chalil is an important figure who is almost forgotten in Indonesian history. He is one of the Indonesian scholars who existed in his time. He has several famous works that he has written since becoming a member of the Sarekat Islam in 1925 at the age of 17 years. Some of his works have been published in articles, newspapers, and the biggest one is in a book that is until now widely known, The Complete Date of the Prophet Muhammad. It turned out that he not only published books on the history of the Prophet Muhammad, but other books such as religious themes, and also politics. This research aims to reconstruct the political thought of K.H. Meonawar Chalil in Indonesia which is contained in his work, both from articles, newspapers and books. The study used four stages, namely Heuritics, Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography.

The popularity of the qualitative approach has recently increased. Especially in the social sciences (including the humanities), where this approach has its own place, although, the most important substance in science, namely the theory itself, is actually qualitative. This is further strengthened by the essence of a qualitative approach (in the social sciences of the humanities) which emphasizes the investigation of a social phenomenon and human problem. This article describes how a qualitative approach is used (particularly) in the science of history, as well as the various characteristics inherent in qualitative research which is so closely related to the science of history. This article was written using descriptive analytical method supported by literature study as the data mining process. From the results of the description, it is known that history as a family of humanities will inevitably (still) use a qualitative approach in its scientific description. This qualitative approach is in the form of a narrative-descriptive-analytical explanation of history, which makes history, apart from being a science, also a story. The task of history is to tell stories through narrative texts, so that a qualitative approach is embedded in the science of history.Keywords: Approach, Qualitative, Historical Science

Since its first establishment until the productive contemporary period, Muhammadiyah have successfully generated noticeable figures who always oriented towards finding a path to the progress of Muslims. Some of Muhammadiyah progressive figures who are well known such as; M. Syafi'i Maarif and other associates. However, in the journey of contribution from their thoughts, they get criticized and cause controversy. It is believed that their thoughts are considered controversial and contrary to the tradition of thinking of the general public and lead to polemics among Indonesian Muslims. Even, these Muhammdiyah figures and their characters are often labelled as liberal figures who have ever been forbidden by MUI. Concerning this issue, the writers are interested in examining the issue by exploring main purposes: First, an overview progressive Islamic figures of Muhammadiyah. Second, what are the typology of progressive Islamic figures from Muhammadiyah? In this study the writers employed the historical method including heuristics, criticism or analysis, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the research results, the authors determined that the emergence of progressive Islam in contemporary period of Muhammadiyah produced many noticeable figures such as: Ahmad Syafii Maarif, Azyumardi Azra, Bahtiar Effendi, Dawam Raharjo, and Zuly Qadir. Second typology, in this term, progressive Islamic figures from Muhammadiyah are categorized into two typologies namely; Progressive-moderate and progressive-radical.

K.H. A. Muhammad Isa was very instrumental in spreading the teachings of moderate Islam in South Cianjur. Practically, he took moderate steps as the best effort to address the differences in views between the conservative and modernist camps in responding to the changing times. He was very instrumental in translating the syarah texts of Arabic books, making them easy to understand and widespread among the Ulama of Cianjur Regency. He is also a Falak Ulama and a member of the Hisab and Rukyat Agency the Ministry Religion of the Republic Indonesia, thus making him always involved with the Ministry Religion of the Republic Indonesia in determining the new moon and one Shawwal. This paper tries to reveal the progress of K.H. A. Muhammad Isa in the Embodiment of moderate Islam in South Cianjur. To obtain valid data, the method used in this research is a historical research method, which is a systematic procedure or technique with the principles and rules of History. The technique in question includes several steps, including: selection of sources (heuristics), internal and external criticism (verification), data analysis and interpretation (interpretation), and presentation in written form (historiography). With this paper, future generations of Muslims are expected to be able to take role models from the figures discussed and be able to represent the attitude of religious moderation as a pillar of national integration; the creation of a tolerant and harmonious religious life so as not to cause national disintegration.

This study deals with the role of KH. Saifuddin Zuhri as Minister of Religion using biographical approach by describing his passion in improving the quality of Islamic education, particularly the Islamic university. He plays a vital role in the development of Islamic universities, namely the State Islamic Institute (IAIN). IAIN is a center for high-level teaching and education activities for Muslim youth. During a period of leadership of KH Saifuddin Zuhri at the Ministry of Religious affair, he succeeded in inaugurating the IAIN at the provincial level by naming the universities according to figures from the region and 14 IAIN branches at the district level. / city. To support the improvement of the quality of teaching staff and infrastructure for higher education, K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri seeks to make a policy, namely by sending students to study abroad on scholarships, establishing a translation and publishing agency for the Qur'an, managing the distribution of religious books to schools and Islamic boarding schools. In addition, he also made policies to appoint honorary religious teachers and the equivalent of madrasa diplomas. For his efforts, IAIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta gave a sign of honor for a professor in the field of da'wah with the title "professor" to K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri.
