Introduction: An exceedingly small amount of scientific research concerns the response to patient death among nursing students. There was a need to examine their perspective on patient death with which they experience during their studies. The authors wanted to check the subjective assessment of students' preparation for patient death and their perception of classes conducted in this area. Methods: The research used the diagnostic survey method and was conducted in May 2019 using Google Form on social media. The 467 nursing students answered 14 questions in the original questionnaire about their experience with patient death. The analyzed data were expressed as median, minimum and maximum values, or percentage, as appropriate. Comparison of groups was performed using the Mann–Whitney U-test or the Kruskal–Wallis test. The relationship between variables was analyzed with Spearman correlation coefficient or contingency coefficient (the χ2-test).Results: The authors analyzed 452 responses of nursing students, and 86.3% of them encountered death of a patient in the course of their studies. In the second-year master's studies, this value reached 99.3%. Among the most frequently mentioned accompanying emotions, students mentioned “reflection on the fragility of life” and “compassion.” Students do not feel sufficiently prepared for the death of a patient. Conclusions: Nursing students encounter the death of a patient very often and very early. Although the curriculum includes content related to the care of a dying patient, students believe that there is still too little of it and that it does not prepare it in a satisfactory manner. Students feel different, often negative emotions related to patient death, and also have various methods of dealing with such a situation. They also feel the need to increase education in this area.

Most of the pathological changes in the spine begin with the physiological loss of intervertebral disc function. Discopathy of the lumbar spine leads to a significant deterioration in the quality of life, which is why the therapeutic team strives is to improve patients quality of life through actions aimed at reducing spinal dysfunction to an extent that allows for human functioning. The research aim was to determine the quality of life of patients who had been treated as a result of discopathy of the lumbar spine and to establish the relationship between the experience of negative feelings and a subjective assessment of the quality of life with factors resulting frompatient socio-demographics. The study included 110 patients treated for lumbar discopathy. A diagnostic survey method was employed as a research technique, with the use of a proprietary survey questionnaire. Statistic analysis of the results was performedusing the statistical package PQStat v1.6.6. Subjective evaluation of patients quality of life in 66 persons (60%) was at an average level, only 6 (5.45%) respondents rated the quality of their lives as being higher. Those living in towns of up to 50,000 residents rated their quality of life higher (6.21), with the lowest level being reported by those living in the countryside (4.95). Age did not influence significantly the quality of life, but older people most often experienced pain (p=0.4). Analysis of variance did not show statistically significant differences between marital status and respondent quality of life (p = 0.53) but did show significant differences between education levels and the incidence of negative feelings such as fear, anxiety or depression. Socio-demographic variables: such as gender, age and marital status do not significantly differentiate the quality of life of the respondents. There is a relationship between experiencing negative feelings and educational levels. The lower the education level obtained, the more often negative feelings are experienced. The experiencing of negative feelings and disease duration are variables that reduce the quality of life of respondents.

Sputum examination is an effort to enforce TB diagnose and to determine the potential of this transmission. The aims was conducted to determine the relationship between the respondents’ knowledge andthe sputum examination in the health center Kamoning Sampang. This research used analytic observational study with survey method using cross sectional. The research performed in 60 patients and sampling method used is imple random sampling. The independent variabel consist of education, occupation, income respondents, education and attitude of the respondent in conducting sputum examination. The strength of correlation was measured by Contingency Coefficient and Odd Ratio (OR) were analyzed using chi-square test. Contingency Coefficient of respondents knowledge knowledge suspected pulmonary tuberculosis in sputum examination is 0,253 and OR = 3,600. The conclusion is there was a weak correlation between the respondents knowledge and sputum examination. Symptoms and treatment of pulmonary TB can be identified if the health workers in collaboration with religious leaders and community leaders to provide the Information according to age and education of the respondents. Keywords: knowledge, attitude, TB suspect, sputum examination

The aim of this research is to find the relationship between work motivation and employee performance. This research  used survey method. The total population is 86 employees. Based on Slovin method, samples taken by random sampling are as much as 70 respondents. The analytical tool used is Rank Spearman correlation, by using hypothesis testing of distribution Z. Based on the calculation results obtained that the work motivation has a significant relationship with employee performance. It means that the higher the motivation of work, the higher the performance of employees.

This study used descriptive survey method with 400 respondents by random selected method. The data would be analyzed by using multi-attribute models, while the relationship between factors to the consumption decision of local fruit would use rank Spearman correlation. The results stated that the decision to consume both local and imported fruit was more determined by their own decisions than determined by other people opinions. Consumers in Pontianak prefer to choose imported fruit rather than local fruit. In local fruit marketing, sellers had to consider four factors that correlate with the desire of consumers to buy the local fruits, namely: (a) taste, (b) quality/durability; (c) price and (d) packaging.</em>
