Transitioning from a valve- to pump-controlled system has been observed in working hydraulics to reduce energy consumption and accelerate the response to decarbonization requirements in Non-road Mobile Machinery (NRMM). The utilization of an electric motor as a prime mover significantly enhances the chances of completing this task. While the concept of combining hydraulics with an electric motor is not new, the functionality of electro-hydraulics can be improved due to multidisciplinary domains, the impact of the electric drive and its control is usually underestimated. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the influence of hydraulics on electric drive operational characteristics in pump-controlled actuators. It utilizes an electro-hydraulic model and simulation study under various conditions, a stability analysis, and a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) of the frequency converter (FC) evaluation on a selected variable speed pump-controlled actuator to demonstrate the influence of hydraulics on an electric drive. Experimental validation of the model demonstrated an acceptable accuracy of 5%. Moreover, the stability analysis indicated a rise time of about 0.051 s, an overshoot of 0.53%, a transient process time of 0.13 s, and a steady-state value difference of 0.16%; all of which guarantees stable operation of the electric drive with a hydraulic load. In addition, an optimal PWM of an FC frequency of 5 kHz was selected to guarantee accurate speed control with minimum overshoot.

The paper describes a variable frequency drive which consists of two elements: an electric drive (synchronous or asynchronous electric drives, that is, drives powered by alternating current are used in capacity of it), and a frequency converter able to control the amplitude and frequency of the voltage supplied to the drive. It becomes possible to control the speed of rotation of the electric motor and the torque on its shaft. The most optimal energy efficiency when using compressor units is achieved under the operating mode when its average daily load factor makes at least 85%. Under the mentioned operating mode fluctuations during the compressed air consumption will be minimal, and the most stable operation of the compressor at its rated nominal power is ensured. In practice, no more than 15% of all the industrial compressors are operated in such operating mode. For 85% of the compressor units the question of improving energy efficiency by regulating its capacity remains open. The method of capacity regulation by using a frequency converter is currently the most optimal and perfect, because adjusting the parameters of the electric drive in this way, the most accurate regulation of the compressed air pressure is provided, which allows reducing the energy consumption in the compressed air injection process, as well as extending the service life of the equipment used. There has been considered a device with frequency control of a compressor unit, debugging of which was carried out on the basis of a mathematical model, which allows choosing the most optimal parameters for frequency control of an electric drive of a compressor unit in order to increase energy efficiency. The analysis of all the advantages and disadvantages of frequency regulation is being carried out, as well as a comparative analysis for selecting the optimal frequency converter in terms of the import substitution

The main electromagnetic radiation source and the generating mechanism in low voltage frequency converter were defined and analyzed in this paper according to electromagnetic radiation theory together with the discussion of the impact on radiation from raise time, falling time of pulse width modulation (PWM) signal and carrier frequency, so that the radiation can be understood more exactly in term of numerical value change, which helps specifically reduction of converter radiation during design phase in compliance with related international standards and technical norms regarding industrial converter. Started with the theory of electromagnetic field the zone around converter were differentiated and analyzed based on the radiation characteristics. As main means of radiation suppression in converter shielding and grounding were quantitatively analyzed. A series of tests with different power rating converters verified the calculation and analysis. Consequently the design of converter was guided to meet the requirements of standard.

Abstract. The authors showed the relevance of creating agricultural machines using an electric drive. (Research purpose) The research objective is to develop an experimental prototype vehicle using an electrical schematic diagram of charge and electric drive control. (Materials and methods) The VAZ 111 Oka car was chosen as an experimental vehicle model with an electric drive, since it has a light weight of 645 kilograms, a simple design and a low cost. Mechanical characteristics of the electric motor were calculated and a frequency converter was chosen to control the electric drive.  Laboratory bench tests were conducted. (Results and discussion)The authors   installed storage batteries to power the electric drive, developed an electrical circuit schematics getting charged from a 220 volt alternating voltage network, and received graphs for the discharge of a 40-storage-battery power supply. (Conclusions) An electrical schematic diagram of charge and electric drive control was developed and implemented on an experimental vehicle model. It was determined that at the electric motor continuous operation with the load current of 1 ampere, the batteries get discharged within 104 minutes;  with the current  load of 2 amperes, they get  discharged within 83 minutes; with 3 amperes – within 65 minutes, and with 5 amperes – within 50 minutes, which is enough to drive around the farm. The authors graphically depicted the dependence of the available capacity level on the voltage, as well as the batteries’ discharge on the time at various load currents. The authors carried out two experimental studies on storage batteries’ charging from alternating voltage with the current of 2 and 3 amperes: in the first case, the charging time was 350 minutes, in the second – 310 minutes. It was found out that when using the developed scheme, the batteries are charged evenly.

Abstract. Introduction. The issue of financial risk management of commercial banks is quite relevant today, because the activity of banks is the most risky of all. The presence of risks in banking can lead to unexpected losses, namely the loss of own resources. That’s why for the stable operation of the bank without loss the priority is to assess the financial risks, which is the basis for their further neutralization. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to develop conceptual provisions for assessment financial risks and justifying the need to neutralize them. Results. The article analyzes the impact of risks on the financial stability of a banking institution. The main methods of bank risk assessment are considered. All these include the statistical method, the analytical method, the expert method, the analogue method and the combined method. The necessity of neutralization of financial risks in order to avoid negative consequences is substantiated. Also the methods of bank risks neutralization are considered. It should be noted that these methods of neutralization can not only be used, but also supplement the list with new methods must be done, which in the future will protect the bank from the influence of undesirable factors. A conceptual approach to the assessment and neutralization of financial risks is proposed. This conceptual approach aims to ensure effective assessment of the level of risk with their subsequent neutralization Conclusions. Use of a conceptual approach will allow an effective risk assessment and decision-making to avoid or accept risk. Thanks to using this approach, the banking institution will be able to react swiftly to the presence of financial risks and to prevent the occurrence of negative consequences, which may lead to a violation of the financial stability of the bank.

This work reports the latest observations on the behavior of two Multigap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPC) under wide high-luminosity exposures, which motivate the development and in-beam test of the sealed MRPC prototype assembled with low-resistive glass. The operation currently being monitored, together with previous simulation results, shows the impact of gas pollution caused by avalanches in gas gaps, and the necessity to shrink the gas-streaming volume. With the lateral edge of the detector sealed by a 3D-printed frame, a reduced gas-streaming volume of ~170 mL has been achieved for a direct gas flow to the active area. A high-rate test of the sealed MRPC prototype shows that, ensuring a 97% efficiency and 70 ps time resolution, the sealed design results in a stable operation current behavior at a counting rate of 3–5 kHz/cm2. The sealed MRPC will become a potential solution for future high luminosity applications.
