Internationalization in higher education seems to be an unavoidable process, albeit temporarily limited by the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease of 2019) pandemic. Specifically, internationalization of the curriculum in the context of higher education is a dimension of this internationalization that is less valued in published studies. This paper, through critical reflection, sought to contribute to a deeper understanding of internationalization of the curriculum in higher education. The methodology used consisted of a bibliographic search in international databases, and the selected documents were analyzed using the content analysis technique. This analysis allowed concluding that internationalization of the curriculum in higher education is a complex process and involves several actors, with various challenges to be considered. For this process to be successful, it involves the ability to be attentive to the cultural multiplicity that will be experienced in classes where this internationalization of the curriculum exists.

The technologies themselves cannot be analyzed as instruments per se, nor can they be exhausted in their relation with science. There is a social and even an individual dimension that affects our own way of relating to society. It is in open education that we have been developing our educational practices. This chapter presents a collaborative learning activity, the curricular unit Materiais e Recursos para eLearning, part of an on-line Master in Pedagogy of eLearning, Universidade Aberta, Portugal. In the present work, the authors dedicate their attention to co-learning and co-research, as processes that help to exemplify some situations, the a-REAeduca. The data collection was supported essentially by the content analysis technique.

The research discusses media utilization and contents for supporting the internationalization, the consistency of internationalization policies at the macro-level (Ministry), mezzo-level (Directorate General), and micro-level (Sebelas Maret University or known as UNS), and the stakeholders' insights of the internationalization of Higher Education. The data were obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation, and a descriptive-qualitative analysis technique was used. The results showed that UNS utilized various media to support internationalization, namely visual media, auditory media, audiovisual media, and other new media. Media contents include academic information, international research collaboration, and intercultural activities. Policy consistency from macro to micro levels took place only at the activity level, whereas there is no consistency in the mission, strategies, policies, and programs. The stakeholders' insights varied from understanding internationalization entirely as a goal, strategies, activities, media, and intra-cultural dimension standardized at the world level until the internationalization dimension. The implication of this research is the need to harmonize policies at all levels of the organization. Besides, the content of the media should be adjusted to the indicators of internationalization.

The aim of this study is to reveal how university students conceptualize their perceptions of social justice. 393 university students were included as the sample of the research. An interview form was sent to the students online. The content analysis technique was used in the analysis of the data. As results, it was stated that every student is equal, opportunities are provided equally, there is no discrimination, social activities are equally benefited, every student is given the same rights, interests and needs are cared for, and every student is treated fairly. They expressed as the most unjust incidents are "necessity of distance education due to the Covid-19 pandemic," "getting unworthy points," "discrimination," "lack of justice in scoring," "unfair scholarship distribution" and "no course exemption." In addition, since it is not in the literature, a scale can be developed regarding the social justice perception levels of students studying in higher education.

Abstract Since 2010, Quality Assurance (QA) has been officially adopted and has become a priority of the Higher Education (HE) system in Algeria. This study is part of this framework and aims to explore the role of leadership in the QA process as perceived by Quality Management Managers (QMRs). It is based on a qualitative approach through interviews with 27 QMRs from different institutions. Content analysis technique was used to analyse data. The results show that QMRs consider the lack of commitment and involvement of institutions’ higher management as a major constraint to the success of quality processes. The study reveals that the main barrier to QA is related to the limitations of institutions’ governance, which do not promote autonomy and effectiveness. The study suggests that two elements seem to be crucial: autonomy and training/awareness of institutions’ higher managers. Those elements are closely linked and could be at the origin of the success or failure of quality mechanisms.

An Analysis of  in the Perspective of Al-Mawardi’s Thought. The critical of moral problem is the main concern that boost the importance of the implementation and actualization of the value of ethic education. This paper is an attempt to response to the demand of conceptual agenda of moral education  through a critical reassessement of the treasures of classic Islamic thought in al-Mâwardî’s book <em>Âdâb al-Dunyâ wa al-Dîn</em>.  Data is collected through document which is then analyzed by content analysis technique. The author finds that al-Mâwardî wrote this book as critical reflection of social instability on moral society of his time. According to him, moral education can be applied by two layers of steps, education that taught by adults ( parents, teacher, etc) to children since early childhood and education that taught to each individual to themselves when adult, through a process of habituation and awareness which is more practical though it is dogmatic.</p><p><br />Kata Kunci: Al-Mâwardî , pendidikan akhlak, karakter, sejarah Islam klasik</p>

How do we understand the evolution of internationalization as a concept? Is a more diverse and inclusive internationalization replacing the western paradigm? Is there a shift in paradigm from cooperation to competition? Do we see an ongoing dominance of the internationalization abroad component at the cost of internationalization at home, or a more comprehensive and inclusive approach to internationalization? And is internationalization a key change agent towards innovation and global social responsibility of higher education? This contribution provides a critical reflection on internationalization in higher education, particularly in the current nationalist, populist and anti-global political climate! The challenges that institutions encounter are divers. There is pressure of revenue generation, competition for talents, and branding and reputation (rankings). There is pressure to focus on international research and publication, on recruitment of international students and scholars, and on the use of English as language of research and instruction. These challenges and pressures conflict with a more inclusive and less elitist approach to internationalization. In other words, there are tensions between a short term neoliberal approach to internationalization, focusing primarily on mobility and research, and a long term comprehensive quality approach, global learning for all.

My aim in this this study was to investigate graduate students’ perceptions about the concepts of standard and accreditation and their views on the problems of accreditation in Turkey. I conducted research on 26 graduate students in Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Turkey. I administered an open - ended questionnaire consisting of four questions to collect the data. To analyze the data I used content analysis technique. The internal consistency of the study was found 0.81. My initial findings showed that the participants associated the concept of quality especially with reliability, first - class, and expensive which are commonly used; associated the concept of standard with criteria, similarity, and necessity which are confused much with; finally associated the concept of accreditation with quality assurance, auditing, and approval which are the among of its meaning. The results also manifested that the accreditation cycle of higher education in Turkey had crucial barriers as improper standards lack of accreditation board, and institutional issues. I hope that my findings will enlighten researchers about the main issues associated with accreditation in Turkey, and encourage stakeholders to refocus on the inactive accreditation system.
