Upon the development of a linear economy, global enterprises are facing resource depletion, ecological collapse, and unsustainable economic growth, and the living environment is facing ordeals as well. Taiwan’s resources are extremely dependent on imports; hence the need for change in the thinking of economic development is arising. The purpose of this study is, based on the concept of circular economy, to discuss the business model and anticipated benefits of Chyhjiun Jewelry Co. Ltd., by using the method of expert interview, participant observation, and method of secondary data collection with the ReSOLVE framework. The results of the study found the developable ReSOLVE business model of the target company Chyhjiun Jewelry in our case study; the ReSOLVE business model includes the use of renewable energy, maintenance and repair services, modular product design, a recovery mechanism, a virtual online shopping platform, and 3D printing technologies. The model established enterprise recycling model as well as the benefits of green management, of which the research results could reduce costs, help the company in exercising its corporate social responsibility, add value to the brand, and generate anticipated benefits arising from other enterprises’ follow-up actions.

The objective of the study was to enhance our knowledge on institutional bottlenecks for financial development, financial inclusion, and microfinance, using Mauritania as a case study. We used a mixed-methods’ methodology that combines analysis of secondary data and an expert interview. First, a logit model with dummy independent variables was used to investigate the factors that impact the households’ access to credit, the main advantage of this model being to avoid confounding effects by analyzing the association of all variables together. Our study found that access to financial services is equal in Mauritania between men and women, but that access to credit is higher for public sector employees, educated people, and households with smaller families. Second, using principal components’ analysis, we found that the different regions of Mauritania can be divided based on unemployment, income, literacy, financial inclusion, and population density into two main dimensions, yielding four quadrants: Attractive, industrious, moderate, and resource cursed. We expected that sparsely populated countries would have less access to credit. Counterintuitively, we found that within a low-density country, people in the lowest-density regions have higher odds of getting credit. Third, based on an interview with an expert, we noted the key challenges that microfinance is facing in Mauritania and provided recommendations to overcome these. As in most case studies, external validity was limited.

Koperasi Produksi Susu (KPS) hadir untuk memfasilitasi parapeternak sapi perah. KPS tidak dapat menjalankan seluruh kegiatannya sendiri maka KPS menjalinkerja sama dalam memenuhi sarana produksi, distribusi, kualitas, dan kontinuitas. Tujuan penelitianini adalah untuk mengetahui pola dan keragaan kemitraan yang terjadi pada KPS Bogor. Penelitiandilakukan di KPS Bogor di Jln. Baru Kedung Badak, Kelurahan Kedung Badak, Kecamatan TanahSareal, Kota Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif dan teknikpenelitian studi kasus. Responden dan informan ditentukan dengan sengaja. Data yang digunakanadalah data primer dan sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KPS Bogor memiliki enamperusahaan mitra yaitu PT. AMS, CV. MAJU, Cimory, Indolakto, Nutrifood, dan Unican. Hanya satudari enam perusahaan ini yang memiliki perjanjian tertulis yaitu PT. AMS dalam bentuk Kerja SamaOperasi (KSO). Perjanjian tidak tertulis dengan Indolakto, Cimory, Nutrifood, dan Unican dalambentuk kemitraan subkontrak, dan CV. MAJU dalam bentuk vertical forward linkage. Dalampelaksanaan kerjasama antara KPS dan mitra, banyak proses yang dilakukan secara spontan.Kata kunci: susu, keragaan, kemitraan, kerja sama bisnis, spontanABSTRACTMilk production in Indonesia is still insufficient to fulfil increasing milk consumption in Indonesia.West Java is one of the largest milk production centre in Indonesia and also place where there aremany milk production cooperatives (MPC). MPC presents to facilitates the dairy farmers. MPC wasnot able to run the entire business itself, then it cooperates with various partners in term ofproduction facilities, distribution, quality control, and continuity. The purpose of this study is todetermine the pattern and the performance of partnerships at the MPC in Bogor. The study wasconducted at the MPC in Bogor located at Jln. Baru Kedung Badak, Kedung Badak Village, TanahSareal District, City of Bogor, West Java. Descriptive design and a qualitative case study researchtechnique were used in this study. Primary data were collected by using participant observation andinterviews. Both primary and secondary data were used in this study. Important results suggest thatMPC in Bogor has six partner companies, namely PT. AMS, CV. MAJU, Indolakto, Cimory,Nutrifood, and Unican. Only one (PT. AMS) of these six companies has written agreement and inform of Joint Operation. The unwritten agreements with Indolakto, Cimory, Nutrifood, and Unicanare in subcontract partnerships form, and CV. MAJU is in vertical forward linkage form. Abstract In the article, the authors describe, using the example of a selected class of technical means, their concept of replacing the “classical” linear management (exploitation) model with a circular economy (CE) model. An example of an object for which the authors plan to test the feasibility of the concept presented above is a household washing machine driven by a DC motor. The description of this object included in the article considers its complexity and multiplicity of assemblies, sub-assemblies, and elements. The DC electric motor driving the washing machine was considered the most important from the point of view of the created model, especially in terms of the possibility of maintenance and repair. For such an engine, the article presents the maintenance and disposal model as elements of the concept of building a ‘circular’ business model. The authors assumed that the formal basis for such a model would be the so-called circular model. The methodology and plan of the research carried out at Super Asia washing machine company in Pakistan were introduced, and the research results were shown. With the use of these results, an attempt was made to assess the requirements that the application of the CE business model places on manufacturers of a selected class of devices, both in their manufacture, repair, sharing and dematerialization. The concept of further research is described at the end of the article.

This study is aimed to find out accountability within Trustful metaphor concept and know the process also type of accountability in islamic business organization case study at Pamella Supermarket.The methods of this study is qualitative approach using research study. The analyze technique is domain and taxonomy. Data is collected by interview, passive participant observation, and secondary data. The informants of this research are an assistant manager, a marketing officer, an employee and costumers of the Pamella Swalayan in Yogyakarta.The results obtained, that the implementation of accountability with trustful metaphor concept in Pamella Supermarket based on pamella owner’s concept on accountability that the purpose of life is rahmatan lil alamin that is each muslim can give a benefit to of the muslims. The realization of that concept is there will be a separation of responsibility : business fund from social fund which is managed by Pamella. From the supermarket sight, the business fund is under the responsibility of the owner and to Allah SWT. While the social fund is under the responsibility of the society by holding some social humanity program, which are reported to the society as well as to the existing interrelated departments in Yogyakarta.

Abstract This article is a case study from the APA São Francisco Xavier, located in the municipality of São José dos Campos-SP, and aims to evaluate the effectiveness of this UC category as an instrument of territorial planning to fulfill its role of reconciling conservation and socio-economic development, based on the sustainable use of natural resources. This study applied multi-methods - both qualitative and quantitative approaches - using fieldwork, participant observation, questionnaires, and geoprocessing to collect and analyze both primary and secondary data. The results demonstrate that APA promotes conservation, but is not free from threats and does not have effective and permanent means to guarantee the promotion of socio-economic development based on the sustainable use of its natural resources. The study suggests that territorial planning should be articulated between the levels of government, its different agencies, and the local community.

Purpose This paper aims to describe how the technology forecast process occurs at a technology-based company named Daiken, a Brazilian electronics industry, located in the state of Parana. The study helps to clarify the context that tech-companies in Brazil face when trying to forecast new technologies. Design/methodology/approach The paper opted for a case study, in a qualitative and descriptive approach. Primary data were collected through a semi-structured interview and non-participant observation. Secondary data were generated through documentary research. Findings Outcomes indicate that, for the studied case, technology forecast practices are adopted in an informal and unsystematic way, best aligned to the nature of competitive intelligence. Research limitations/implications Because of the chosen research approach, the results may lack generalizability. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to test the propositions further. Practical implications The paper includes implications for the adjustment of technology forecast tools to the reality seen in emergent nations like Brazil. Originality/value This paper fulfills an identified need to study how to conduct the technology forecast processes in small and mid-tech-companies in Brazil.

Purpose – This paper aims to extend the topics from a 2007 paper to stimulate debate on strategic issues vital for the long-term success of supply chains (SCs). The authors upgraded from SC process modelling towards SC business model management; from information to knowledge transfer and from the maturity of SC to dynamic capabilities. The paper attempts to identify and connect the elements of SC business model and the key issues for development of dynamic capabilities to enable future redesign of business models. Design/methodology/approach – The paper develops two frameworks showing the elements of an SC business model and the interconnection of those elements and dynamic capabilities. The use of these frameworks is demonstrated in a case study of Post of Slovenia. The case uses both primary and secondary data gathered from interviews, publicly accessible articles and internal reports. Findings – An SC should develop the elements of its business model in such a way that it will be able to continually change its existing or add a new business model from the AS-IS state to a currently unpredictable “TO-BE” state as a response to currently unknown changes in its business model. Research limitations/implications – The selection of the elements in the frameworks is partly arbitrary. A single case study was conducted. Practical implications – SCs should not simply focus on improving the maturity/efficiency of current processes but can use the findings to carefully design their current business model and develop dynamic capabilities for future changes. Originality/value – This paper summarises and extends the recent literature through the dynamic capabilities approach and business model management and proposes two frameworks and identifies topics relevant for future development of the SCM field.

ABSTRACT- This study aims to examine the external environment of slondok companies related to bargaining power used by slondok entrepreneurs with 2 Porter powers, namely bargaining power of buyers and suppliers as well as alternative strategies used by slondok entrepreneurs in increasing bargaining power of slondok. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The research method used is case study. The data used are primary and secondary data. Methods of data collection by interview. Participant selection technique with purposive sampling. Validity test and reliability test using source triangulation. The main goal of this research was to determine the complementarity of the business models of the investigated enterprises and the factors determining it in the Klaipeda city (Lithuania) incoming tourism. Research was based on the methodological approach of the qualitative research (the phenomenological case study). Data of the research were obtained by using the instrument of partially structured expert interview. As the results of the research, the concept of business model complementarity and the factors that determine it in the tourism business was theoretically analysed; the conceptual model of business model complementarity and the factors that determine it in the incoming tourism was identified, analysed in practice and presented as well. The research results can be used in several practical fields of activities: the obtained results allow to strengthen managerial impact to the creation and development of the potential partnerships; the research methodology is easily adaptable for the determination of business model complementarity of companies that operate in other business systems and prepared research instrument can be considered as a diagnostic tool for inter-organisational relations, it can be used to determine and evaluate the complementarity of company business models in various business systems.
