The paper presents the results of empirical studies of the energy sector in Poland in the period 2005–2020. The main research problem was the impact of gross savings of changes in gross investment levels in this sector. To this end, we used a formula determining the value of private investments from the theory of the economic dynamism of M. Kalecki. First, we checked its adjustment to the economic reality of the energy sector and analysed the impact of individual independent variables on gross investment levels. We calculated linear regression and correlation coefficients in two variants due to delays between investments and investment decisions. The results of the studies justified the hypothesis. According to it, gross investments in the Polish energy sector are determined by the level of gross savings of companies.

This research mainly aims to explore competencies of training graduated which focuses on factors that influence competencies of training graduates, such as the implementation of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 and teaching quality of Widyaiswara. The main research problem addressed in this study is how the implementation of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 and teaching quality of Widyaiswara contribute to competencies of training graduates, both partially and altogether. I conducting this research, explanatory survey method is used with questionairres using likert and interval scales as the data collection techniques, that are distributed to 51 graduates of training at PPPPTK Penjas dan BK. To analyse the data, the study employs PPM (Pearson Product Moment), to investigate the direct and non-direct correlations of dependent and independent variables. Significance tests are administered using F-test and t-test. The results show that (1) the impelementation of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 significantly influences competencies of training graduates; (2) teaching quality of Widyaiswara significantly influences competencies of training graduates; and (3) both the implementation of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 and teaching quality of Widyaiswara significantly influence competencies of training graduates.

Paper is characterized by scientific novelty as it involves a very scarce research problem in Lithuanian‘s energy sector, assessing the impact of renewable energy resources on the energy economy. Renewable energy sources have a multiplier effect in spurring the economy and the development of not only the energy sector but also all the supporting activities related to such industry. The impact of the development of renewable energy is one of the factors that develop the quality of technology innovation development. This study includes the impact of renewable energy on the energy economy, using multiple linear regression models. The results of the study have shown that renewable energy resources: wind, sun, water, geothermal and biomass can not always be used together because they compete with each other and therefore reduce the efficiency of the energy economy. In this context, three combinations of renewable energy resources have been developed, which have been adapted to assess the impact of the energy economy on energy productivity and energy intensity. It has been found that the combination of resources of the second model (M2) RE is significant for the efficiency of the energy economy. Keywords: Renewable energy resources; Energy economy; Impact of efficiency

The article aims to present how the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown affects the functioning and circulation of complementary currencies in entities that have joined the complementary currency system with a special focus on the complementary currency Zielony (PLZ) in Poland. The main research problem of the paper is formulated in the form of a question concerning the impact of the lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic on the use of the Zielony in Poland in commercial transactions by entities belonging to the local currency system. In order to achieve the objective and solve the main problem, the article uses such research methods as: the method of critical analysis of literature, historical method, statistical method, comparative method, observational method, free expert interview, as well as analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction and abstraction. We conducted a critical analysis of the literature and analysis of statistical data of the complementary currency Zielony in Poland in the period from March 2015 to June 2021, and the results of the expert interview showed that this currency is not a tool to support the functioning of local economy entities during non-financial crises, such as COVID-19 pandemic. This is influenced by, among other things, full or partial lockdown and other restrictions on the functioning of commercial entities during a pandemic. The consequences of such solutions include the weakening of economic activity and a decrease in the value of turnover of entities operating in various sectors of the local economy, especially entities of a service nature, which constitute about 80% of the structure of the Zielony complementary currency system in Poland. The main conclusion resulting from the conducted research is as follows: the complementary currency Zielony in Poland can influence the creation of local entrepreneurship and sustainable development and support the activities of the sector of small- and medium-sized enterprises, but these benefits are possible to achieve primarily in conditions of stable and undisturbed functioning of the economy. The realization of the payment function of the complementary currency, the Zielony, and its use in payments of entities belonging to those industries covered by lockdown and other administrative restrictions is impossible (or insignificant) at this time due to the absence (or hindered) of its circulation in the economy. The research results and conclusions presented in the article meet the assumptions of the application objective and can provide the entities of the micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprise sector with knowledge about the dependencies resulting from the use of the complementary currency in the lockdown period by the entities that implement the assumptions of the system of complementary currencies.

PurposeThis paper presents a systematic literature review, including content and bibliometric analyses, of the impact of blockchain technology (BT) in auditing, to identify trends, research areas and construct an agenda for future research.Design/methodology/approachThe authors include studies from 2010 to 2020 in their structured literature review (SLR), using accounting journals on the Scopus database, which yielded 40 articles with blockchain and auditing at its core.FindingsOne of the contributions of the authors’ analyses is to group the prior research, and therefore also the agenda for future research, into three main research areas: (1) Blockchain as a tool for auditing professionals to improve business information systems to save time and prevent fraud; (2) Smart contracts enabling Audit 4.0 efficiency, reporting, disclosure and transparency; (3) Cryptocurrency and initial coin offerings (ICOs) as a springboard for corporate governance and new venture financing. The authors’ findings have several important implications for practice and theory.Practical implicationsThe results of this study emphasise that (1) the disruption of blockchain in auditing is in a nascent phase and there is a need for compelling empirical studies and potential for the involvement of practitioners; (2) there may be a need to reconsider audit procedures especially suited for digitalisation and BT adoption; (3) standards, guidelines and training are required to pivot towards and confront the challenge BT will represent for auditing; and (4) there are two sides to the BT coin for auditing, enthusiasm about the potential and risk upon implementation. These practical implications can also be seen as a template for future research in a quest to align theory and practice.Originality/valueThe authors’ SLR facilitates the identification of research areas and implications, forming a useful baseline for practitioners, professionals and academics, as they draft the state of the art on the disruption of blockchain in auditing, highlighting how BT is changing auditing activities and traditions.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the board diversity and the investments in innovation in a sample of companies listed on the Italian Stock Exchange (named Borsa Italiana) and operating in the consumer goods and in the consumer services industry. This sample covers the period from 2006 to 2010 and contains 345 observations. Drawing on the literature review, we pinpointed six hypotheses related to the impact on the investments in innovation of the following independent variables: 1. presence of outside directors; 2. average number of the other positions held by the members of the board; 3. minority shareholder representatives on the board; 4. presence of women on the board of directors; 5. number of committees; 6. frequency of board meetings. Furthermore, on the basis of the previous empirical studies, to measure the investments in innovation (the dependent variable), we chose these accounting ratios: total intangible assets divided by total assets and total R&D costs divided by total sales. From the methodology standpoint, we used both the bivariate statistic (i.e. Pearson Correlations and Anova one way) and the multivariate one (i.e. OLS regression analysis with robust standard errors calculated by the Newey-West, HAC method). Our findings confirm the previous studies and show that, also for the Italian listed companies operating in the industries mentioned earlier, the outsiders as well as the frequency of meetings held by the Strategy Committee assume a relevant role in supporting the investments in innovation. Conversely, the other independent variables concerning board diversity (i.e. women, minority shareholder representatives etc.) are not statistically significant and, as a result, do not influence the investments in innovation.

Human's relationship with the environment is strong and mutually beneficial, with thedevelopment of this relationship, a person develops and increases his awareness. The urban environment isa natural, physical, social and cultural milieu that a human lives in it, and get from him the life Constituents. As well as it is a product of human interaction with it, so the urban environment represents what has animpact on human behavior. It effects on human physiology and psychology then represented the relationshipconceptually, socially, and physically. the Cultural Constituents of the urban environment plays a criticaland essential role in user behavior, because they are part of the project they must be included in making thedesign decision as well as in treatment of urban spaces. on the other side, the comprehensive behavioralstudies are still few in this field, especially those studies that are based on ecological behavioral trend andthrough observing of behavior in the urban environment .The current study seeks to draw out a theoreticalmodel for developing ecological behavior measures, to evaluate the role of Cultural Constituents indetermining patterns and nature of human behavior through the experimental approach. Through theprevious literature has been identified the main research problem is represented ) There is a lack ofknowledge in the distribution of behavioral patterns in urban environments that have a high aestheticquality, also there are few objective measures that can be used as an indicator to evaluate the aestheticquality of the urban environment before its development and presenting urban designs in urban space andspecial organization (.According to the research problem, the goals and hypothesis of the research weredetermined, and an inductive experimental approach was defined theoretical and practical axes, also theresearch samples were identified (ten urban spaces in University of Babylon) were observing during (2018-2019),furthermore survey questionnaire sent to the experts In architecture, urban design and psychologyfield .Finally, the results were analyzed and the research found that aesthetic quality plays an important andmajor role in determining patterns and nature of behavior.

The aim of the article is to identify and introduce divisions/typologies of contemporary managerial competences. The main research problem is to understand the processes taking place in business universities and their impact on shaping the next generations of managers. The article is based on the results of qualitative research inspired by the ethnography of the organization. 5-year research in the area of managerial education was conducted. The article presents competences important for various groups of the managerial education process. Specific breakdowns of these competences have been proposed. Reflections on the shaping of these competences in future managers as well as methods and ways of education are presented. The basis of empirical inquiry is qualitative material that cannot be generalized to the entire population. It is also inadvisable to draw sharp distinctions between the proposed concepts and typologies, as they are inherently fluid and ambiguous. The research was conducted over a period of 5 years, which is a unique advantage in the era of digitization and the ubiquitous domination of capitalist values. The research group is extremely broad and includes all participants / actors in the management education process.

The present study was conducted to investigate the impact of air pollution in some selected areas of Mymensingh city. The relationship between independent variables (age, educational qualification, family size and communication exposure) with the basic idea and impact of air pollution (dependent variable) was investigated in this study. To conduct the study, two hundred (200) respondents were selected randomly from four study sites under Mymensingh city. Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficients were analyzed to examine the relationship between the concerned variables. The findings revealed that 87.5% people have basic idea and 12.5% people have no idea about air pollution. About half (46%) of the peoples had high impact, 34% had medium and 20% had low impact because of air pollution. Out of four independent variables, three variables such as educational qualification and communication exposure had positive and significant relationship, age had negative but significant relationship and family size had non-significant relationship with their perception and awareness of air pollution. Further assessment on different air pollutants in the study area may explore the original status of air pollution and their impact on environment as well as on livelihood.
