The flipped classroom approach is an emerging instructional approach that integrates digital technology. This approach has been applied in several fields, and it has demonstrated considerably higher learning effectiveness than conventional teaching modes. Common problems in its implementation that directly or indirectly affect learning effectiveness include students’ low intention to preview learning materials and low class participation. To overcome these problems, the present study sought to increase students’ intention to preview learning materials and participate in class through the implementation of educational activities integrated with an incentivisation system using a virtual currency and the provision of handouts. Students in two programming classes in the information management department of the participating university were divided into the experimental and control groups. The intention to preview learning materials, levels of class participation, and learning effectiveness were all significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group.

Rapid development in information and communication technology (ICT) is changing the instructional strategies in Higher Education. This study aimed to identify the level of self-efficacy of B.Ed. (IT) undergraduates of a local University in a flipped classroom. Further it also investigated gender difference among the undergraduates self-efficacy in the classroom. A group of 35 student selected using convenience sampling method. This group divided into Group 1 as control group and Group 2 as intervention. Group one consists of 17 students and two consist of 18 students. Initially the two classes answered pre-survey questionnaire of self-efficacy. Then control group was exposed to conventional teaching whereas intervention group intervened with Padlet. Data were analyzed with SPSS and revealed the intervention group has high Cohen effect (d) = .53, which is considered moderate size compared Cohen effect (d) = .17, considered small. This study clearly exhibits intervention group has better self-efficacy than control group. Further, the effect size of control group revealed decline in self-efficacy. In study exhibits there is no difference by gender in terms of self-efficacy. It is expected further study should be conducted by taking in to account sample size, duration of intervention, and method.

This study aimed at investigating of the effect of using word family game committed by the fifth grade student in SD Negeri 1 Astina in mastering the English vocabulary. This study was True-Experimental with post-test only control group design. The population was 59 students of the fifth grade and the sample was selected by using cluster random sampling. The sample of this research study was 22 students in 5A as an Experimental Group while 22 students in 5B as a Control Group. The experimental group was taught by using Word Family Game and control group was taught without using Word Family Game. The data was analyzed descriptively and inferentially through SPSS 16.0 Program. Descriptively, the students in experimental group were achieved better than the students in control group. It was proven by the result of the mean score of the experimental group was 90.45, while the mean score of control group was 83.18. The result of the t-test also showed that the score of the (tobs) was 3.393 which the score of (tcv) was 1.682 which based on the degree of freedom was 42. It showed that the (tobs) > (tcv), where: 3.393 > 1.682. It could be concluded that the word family game had a significant effect on the students’ vocabulary mastery rather than using conventional teaching.

<pre>One of the factors that may affect the success of the learning process is the use of learning media. Therefore, this research aimed to implement and evaluate the interactive multimedia learning materials using Wondershare Quizcreator program and audio materials in teaching 'English listening skills'. The research problem was whether or not there was a significant difference between the results of teaching listening skills through the interactive multimedia learning materials using Wondershare Quizcreator program and the results of teaching listening skills through audio materials. The earlier process used in the research was to produce new products to be implemented. The product had been validated by the experts and tried out to the college students to get their responses towards the validity and the practicality of the products. Furthermore, the products as new materials were implemented to the experimental group and the conventional materials (audio materials) were implemented to the control group. Pretest and posttest had ben conducted before implementation. The results of statistical analysis (SPSS) showed that there was no significant difference between the results of pretest of the two groups, but there was a significant difference between the results of post of experimental and control groups. It was proved that the t-cal. was greater than the t-table (5.583 &gt; 2.000) at df 70 and p.0.05. So, it was concluded that the interactive multimedia learning materials using Wondershare Quizcreator program were effective in teaching 'English listening skills'.</pre>

Kajian ini dilaksanakan bagi mengkaji keberkesanan kaedah Flipped Classroom dalam meningkatkan kemahiran mengolah isi karangan Bahasa Melayu tahun 6. Kajian kuasi-eksperimen ini adalah berbentuk kuantitatif. Kajian ini dijalankan kepada 31 responden bagi kumpulan eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan kaedah Flipped Classroom dan 28 responden bagi kumpulan kawalan. Instrumen yang digunakan merangkumi ujian pra, ujian pasca, dan senarai semak. Instrumen ujian pra dan pasca dilaksanakan bagi melihat hasil dalam perbezaan prestasi penulisan isi karangan bagi kumpulan eksperimen dan kawalan. Instrumen senarai semak digunakan bagi melihat aspek pengolahan isi karangan murid. Data yang diperoleh telah dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 23.0. Hasil kajian juga dianalisis menggunakan ujian-t. Skor min bagi kumpulan eksperimen ialah 20.64 dengan sisihan piawai 2.244 menunjukkan dapatan yang lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan skor min bagi kumpulan kawalan 14.00 dan sisihan piawai 3.620. Hasil kajian ini boleh digunakan para guru untuk menggunakan kaedah Flipped Classroom dalam topik atau mata muridan lain dengan lebih berkesan dan bersistematik. This study was undertaken to assess the effectiveness of Flipped Classroom in improving writing skills in converting the Malay 6. In this quasi-experimental study was quantitative. This study was conducted on 31 respondents for the experimental group taught using the Flipped Classroom method and 28 respondents for the control group. The instruments used include pre-test, post-test, and checklist. Pre- and post-test instruments were implemented to see the results in the differences in essay writing performance for the experimental and control groups. The checklist instrument is used to look at the processing aspects of student essay content. The data obtained were analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 23.0 software. The results of the study were also analyzed using t-test. The mean score for the experimental group was 20.64 with a standard deviation of 2.244 showing higher findings when compared to the mean score for the control group 14.00 and a standard deviation of 3.620. The results of this study can be used by teachers to use the Flipped Classroom method in other students' topics or points more effectively and systematically.

Revitalization of vocational education must be designed and developed according to the needs of industry through appropriate learning innovations. The selection of the right learning method influences the graduate competencies and learning experiences of students. This study aims to analyze the learning process based on industrial products in mechanical practices. The analysis of the learning process includes giving aperceptions and motivation, mastering learning materials, learning strategies implementation, learning resources or media, involving students, and closing the learning process. The research method used experimental with a static group comparasion design. The design of this study used two groups consist of experimental and control group. Experimental group is respondents who used industrial products-based learning and control group is respondents who used conventional learning (job sheet-based). The sampling used simple random sampling method. Each group consist of 20 respondents. The research respondents were students of the Mechanical Engineering Department Universitas Negeri Semarang who have passed the Mechanical Process I lesson. The study result is there are differences in the mechanical practices process using industrial products-based learning and conventional learning (job sheet-based). Implementation of learning in relation to the gift of apperception and motivation, mastery of learning materials, application of learning strategies, assembling of learning resources or learning media,  participation of students in learning process, and closing the learning process is better to use the industrial products-based learning compare with conventional learning

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of dialogue journal writing (DJW) on learning the vocabulary, organization, and grammar of English. It also explores the impact of DJW on the attitudes of students towards writing in English. Methodology: The sample of the study consists of 50 undergraduate Jordanian students divided equally into an experimental and control group. The control group was given traditional writing instruction while the experimental group was taught using dialogue journal writing. The study used a pre and post-test to investigate the impact of DJW on writing skills, while a questionnaire was used to unveil the attitudes of students to writing. Main Findings: The results of the research revealed that the vocabulary, organization, and grammar learned by the experimental group were significantly improved (p<0.05) compared to the control group. The study also found out that students taught using DJW developed positive attitudes towards writing better than students exposed only to conventional teaching methods of writing. Applications of this study: The present study is beneficial in providing teachers of English as a foreign language with new methods to teach writing skills. Novelty/Originality of this study: The current study is significant since the impact of dialogue journals on writing is under-researched in the Jordanian context.

This study examined the effectiveness of the flipped classroom learning strategy on student’s motivation, discipline and learning results on the classroom action research subject. The research subject consists of 66 students grouped into experimental and control groups which were taught separately by using the flipped classroom learning strategy and a conventional discussion strategy. Flipped classroom learning strategy with technology has a significant positive effect on student’s motivation, discipline and learning results. It can be concluded that the experimental group of students taught by flipped classroom strategy is better than the control group in all three domains.

Abstract Background The transformation of the medical pattern into the biological-sociological and psychological medical model has made the importance of humanities in medical education increasingly prominent. This study analyzes the effectiveness and importance of integrating humanistic qualities into clinical teaching in dermatology. Methods During July 2016 to August 2020, interns training in Departments of Dermatology, Zhujiang Hospital, 200, according to the order of student number of grouping experimental group and control group, four groups of 50, respectively, the control group of interns on conventional teaching in practice stage, while the experimental group of intern trainee phase combination of humanity quality education in teaching, compared two groups of interns teaching and learning effects. Results Medical history collection/interrogation techniques, practical operation and observation of history writing scores of the experimental group of interns were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the experimental group of interns humanistic quality education related indicators were significantly better than the control group (P <0.05). Conclusions The results put forward some countermeasures and suggestions for cultivating and optimizing the humanistic care spirit of medical students.

The study investigated the effectiveness of Co-operative E-learning approach (CELA) on students’ attitude towards Chemistry. The Solomon Four Group, Non-equivalent Control Group Design was employed in the study. The study was carried out in Koibatek sub-county, Kenya where there has been a persistent low achievement in the subject. 489 form three students from twelve county schools, purposively selected from the sub-county were taught the same course content on the mole for a period of five weeks. The experiment groups received their instructions through the use of CELA approach and control groups using the conventional teaching method. The researcher trained the teachers in the experimental groups on the technique of CELA before treatment. Student Attitude Questionnaire (SAQ) was used for data collection. The results of the study indicated that students in experimental groups outperformed those in the control groups. Also, there were no statistically significant differences in the mean score in SAQ between boys and girls exposed to CELA. Girls and boys performed equally well in altitudes towards Chemistry. Chemistry teachers should be encouraged to incorporate CELA method.

The “flipped classroom” is a learning model in which content attainment is shifted forward to outside of class, then followed by instructor-facilitated concept application activities in class. Current studies on the flipped model are limited. Our goal was to provide quantitative and controlled data about the effectiveness of this model. Using a quasi-experimental design, we compared an active nonflipped classroom with an active flipped classroom, both using the 5-E learning cycle, in an effort to vary only the role of the instructor and control for as many of the other potentially influential variables as possible. Results showed that both low-level and deep conceptual learning were equivalent between the conditions. Attitudinal data revealed equal student satisfaction with the course. Interestingly, both treatments ranked their contact time with the instructor as more influential to their learning than what they did at home. We conclude that the flipped classroom does not result in higher learning gains or better attitudes compared with the nonflipped classroom when both utilize an active-learning, constructivist approach and propose that learning gains in either condition are most likely a result of the active-learning style of instruction rather than the order in which the instructor participated in the learning process.
