The aim of this was is to identify the educational competences and training of third-year students taking the degree in Primary Education at the University of Cordoba, in relation to the protection and conservation of community museums and from an eco-didactic and historical point of view. In this study, the collection of information was validated by means of a Likert-type questionnaire (1–5) with which we collected data from five academic years by handing it out to a sample (n = 332). Among the results obtained, we can emphasize both the degree of involvement and the opinions of the students with respect to valuing the cultural and natural heritage of their environment, as well as the didactic use of the ecomuseum in the area where it is placed. Finally, the conclusions highlight the perceptions of university students regarding the educational impact of ecomuseums as cultural and sustainability elements, in addition to their being an eco-didactic resource for teaching and implementing projects about historical heritage.

Abstract. The initial training of Physical Education teachers has "undergone" deep changes along with educational reforms. What should remain equally relevant is that students, as future specialist teachers in this area, should be the ones who value the quality of their education. In this research, we use the tool validated by Moreno and Conte (2001), the Assessment and Training on Teaching in Physical Education (V.A.C.D.E.F.), which we applied to 39 Primary Education degree students who attend the program in Physical Education at a Center of the University of Cádiz. Among the most important findings, we emphasize that the majority of students feel well trained for carrying out the future teaching work. They agree with the contents that are imparted in their program, they are interested in the technical elements of sports and the specialty itself, as well as they strive for more practical classes within their training.

The topicality of the article is substantiated by the significant demographic problems, which are the consequence of the transformation in traditional stereotypes of women’s reproductive behavior, the change in models of family relations, and the decline of the maternity value in the society. This determines the problem of forming readiness for motherhood in young women. The author points out that the problem of forming readiness for motherhood is not sufficiently developed from the pedagogical point of view, which contradicts to the historically established national traditions of educative teaching of motherhood in the family and in the education system. Special emphasis is placed on the reduction of readiness to become a mother among women who receive professional education and realize themselves in the profession. The potential of the educational process of the university in solving the problem of forming the readiness of female students for motherhood is indicated. The author’s understanding of the essence and structure of readiness for motherhood as a complex psychological and pedagogical phenomenon is proposed. A set of criteria and indicators of female students’ readiness for motherhood has been developed, taking into account its formation in the conditions of the university educational process. The selection of diagnostic methods is made, which allow identifying the formation of all aspects of the readiness of university students for motherhood. The studied phenomenon is characterized by the author at the high, sufficient, medium and low levels of its formation. The developed criteria and diagnostic base can be considered as the foundation for conducting the ascertaining stage of the pedagogical experiment, analysis of the reasons that negatively affect the unfinished level of formation of readiness for motherhood in female students, and determining the pedagogical conditions for the effective formation of the studied phenomenon in the educational process of the university. Keywords: motherhood, readiness for motherhood, educational training, educational process of the university, criteria and diagnostic basis for the study of the university students’ readiness for motherhood

This study aimed at exploring and theorizing the role of Jordanian Universities in supporting innovation among university students within the context of education for sustainable development from the point of view of Jordanian University students. For that, the researcher adopted the grounded theory methodology by Strauss and Corbin. The study was conducted at two Jordanian Universities: the University of Jordan and Philadelphia University in the academic year (2019-2020), and the study population consisted of students from the two universities. The researcher chose (300) students from both genders from different faculties and academic years. By applying the grounded theory, the study concluded that the key category that emerged after analyzing the student’s responses describing the impact of the Jordanian Universities’ role in supporting innovation among university students for educational sustainable development is the emphasis on the need for developing proper University innovation ecosystems in their educational systems. Also, the respondents- through online interviews - have emphasized this concept of proper University innovation ecosystems. The key category of this study found that positive and negative impacts could result from applying or neglecting to apply this concept, which generated behaviors toward the concept, which could be considered as the phenomena in the current research.

This paper presents a test aimed at assessing university students’ reading competence –The Reading Competence Test for University Students (in Spanish, Test de Competencia Lectora para Universitarios, Test CLUni)– and the results obtained in the test by prospective Early Years and Primary Education teachers. The theoretical framework underlying the test is followed by description of the pilot stage and the validation process; this included content and expert validity. Next, the test is characterised. It consists of six authentic texts (four continuous and two non-continuous texts) that were selected according to the proposed text types in PISA-2012. Finally, the results obtained in the test by a sample of 288 students in the Bachelor Degree of Early Years (n=148, 51.4%) and Primary Education (n=140, 48,6%) at the University of Málaga in the academic year 2013/4 are presented. Results pertaining the students’ perceptions on the difficulty of the test are also included.

In the field of entrepreneurship and especially during start up, much emphasis is placed on the business plan with regard to entrepreneurship education and training, funding from external investors, business plan competitions and government development agencies in the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) sector. In many earlier studies of well-known entrepreneurship educators, the formulation of a business plan was identified as being the most important feature of any entrepreneurship programme or course. However, the relevance of a business plan has been a topic of intense and unresolved debates in more recent literature. This paper contributes to the literature with regard to the value a business plan adds to potential entrepreneurs.  Furthermore it increases the understanding of how a detailed business plan (such as the approved business plan template of the University of Pretoria approved business plan) can enable a potential entrepreneur to assess opportunities. The paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of business plans and the methods of assessing opportunities, in order to reveal similarities between the business plan and opportunity assessment. Based on descriptive statistics and inferential statistics such as ANOVA, and Kruskal-Wallis tests, the findings support the hypotheses that potential entrepreneurs distinguish between ideas and opportunities and develop opportunities through the formulation of a detailed business plan. The pertinent academic and practical significance of this paper is that it highlights statistically significant differences proving that a detailed business plan is a tool that enables potential entrepreneurs to assess opportunities. From a practical point of view, this should help potential entrepreneurs to establish more viable business ventures; however, this would have to be statistically tested in further research. Finally, the study re-establishes the importance and purpose of a business plan in the field of entrepreneurship.
