Since 2009, the portfolio has been a prerequisite for the evaluation of postgraduate residency programs at BSMMU. This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with the aim of investigating the current status of portfolio-based training and assessment in BSMMU`s postgraduate training program. Total 264 residents and 30 faculty members selected conveniently and completed the Likert scale-based questionnaire. A checklist was used for reviewing portfolios (n=33) those were preserved by residents. Study revealed that most of the respondents were male (68.6% of residents and 93.3% of faculty members). About 60% of residents have given positive views on presence of instruction and purpose about maintaining the portfolio. Several participants expressed concerns because the portfolio content is self-reported; it may include bias or inaccuracy. Regarding opinions of respondents on characteristics of portfolio, both of the respondents perceived high satisfaction on portfolio based learning, reasonable contents, and practicable and feasible use of portfolio (p<0.05) except regular updating (p<0.05) and comprehensiveness of portfolio. In line with ownership and motivation, faculty members (4.03) highly assumed that the portfolio completed by residents as requirement of the university than residents (3.22) and p<0.05). Residents did not agree that they worked on the portfolio during university deadline (2.89) whereas faculty members ((3.73) showed vary positive views in this regard. Concerning commitments to use the portfolio, both respondents have conveyed high expression (mean >3.5) on the relationship between residents and supervisors so the role of an available supervisor in direct observations of the residents and dedicated educational meetings, giving feedback and support, cannot be exaggerated. Relating to assessment of portfolio, overall views of the respondents have expressed poor to moderate views and faculty members (2.37 to 4.23) have less satisfaction than residents (2.88 to 3.73). Though there are so many constraints such as the lack of clear purposes and instructions, poor understanding regarding ownership, assessment issues, and confusion about educational impact in future, but the portfolio as a feasible and acceptable tool to train and assess clinical competence and clinical specialization. Study recommended for generic format of portfolio based training and assessment to be considered in Bangladesh context. All Stakeholders should be well oriented at the beginning for utilizing the portfolio (supervision, monitoring and assessment system). Modern international standards indicate that the basis of criminal law policy to prevent juvenile delinquency should be a child-friendly juvenile justice system. This system focuses on the application of alternative and non-criminal sanctions (warning, reprimand, restitution and compensation). Based on international standards of juvenile justice, we can note their focus on ensuring the best interests of the child, the predominance of sanctions and measures that may have an educational impact, compensation for damages, creating conditions for reconciliation of victims and offenders and eliminating the consequences of crime, ensuring a meaningful life of a teenager in society. Juvenile sentencing is more loyal approach and shown in comparison with adults with regard to property penalties (if the minor has income or property) (parts 1, 3 of Article 99 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), reduced limits of punishment (parts 1, 2 of Article 100, 101, part 1 Article 102 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), restriction of using of imprisonment depending on the gravity of the crime and the characteristics of the juvenile. It is established that in addition to ensuring the best interests of the child and the use of as many non-punitive measures as possible against juvenile, it is also necessary to pay attention to other circumstances of the case. In particular, a balance must be struck between the best interests of the juvenile and a proportionate response to his or her behavior. In particular, it is necessary to take into account the repeated commission of criminal offenses, as well as the one-time application of incentive rules to juvenile. And pay attention to alternatives to imprisonment that may be more effective. In particular, mediation and rehabilitation practices can be more effective.

The article presents an analysis of possible directions of using artificial intelligence in education. It is shown that artificial intelligence in modern distance education contributes to its further development in the direction of modernization and has a significant impact, especially on the modern distance learning system. The requirements for artificial intelligence on the part of education and the negative consequences of the use of artificial intelligence and problems that may affect the quality of education are analyzed. The possible directions of work in terms of the development of artificial intelligence related to the development of knowledge representation models, the creation of knowledge bases forming the core of the expert system are considered. Attention is drawn to the fact that an intelligent learning system should be able to perform various functions of a teacher (to help in the process of solving problems, to determine the cause of students’ mistakes, to choose the optimal educational impact) almost as intelligently as a person does. Attention is also paid to such a direction as the use of intelligent chat-bots or conversational agents and their applications.

The article deals with the problem of using the experience of AS Makarenko in modern educational practice, in particular, the legal education of children and youth. A.S. As a teacher, Makarenko left a lot of evidence of how juvenile delinquents became law-abiding citizens. From these positions, the forms of existence of law, reflected in its theoretical and practical heritage, are of considerable interest for the implementation of effective educational impact on young people. In the context of the children's team, whose members were freed from anarchic, criminal in many ways on the basis of upbringing and education, such forms (levels) of law as legal consciousness (awareness of the need to coexist on legal grounds) can be traced; legal norms - orderly rules that everyone who did not want to be outside the human community was forced to follow; legal relations - a system of relations that, providing the requests of the individual, did not contradict the most universally recognized requests of the whole community. The author concludes that analyzing the experience of A.S. Makarenko and considering the law as an order of social relations, which is manifested in the actions and behavior of people, we observe in the institutions headed by a prominent teacher, the personal progress of students as conscious subjects of legal relations. There is reason to conclude that this process reflects the main goals and means of Makarenko's educational system as such and further study will reveal more generalized, and therefore important for today's conditions, pedagogical principles of legal education of children and youth.

Within the EU CEMEC project framework, a novel approach for using holographic showcases in museums has been conceived and experimented upon in different venues in the context of an itinerant exhibition dealing with Early Medieval European collections. The purpose of this holographic showcase, the so-called “box of stories”, is to improve the link and interaction between real and virtual contents in the museum’s context, making the exhibited object “alive” in the visitors’ perception. An Avar sword and a Byzantine treasure have been used as the main case studies, and they have been experienced in the museums of several European regions by audiences with different cultural backgrounds. This has been a great opportunity to carry out user experience (UX) evaluations in order to collect feedback (from about 600 museum visitors) regarding the attractiveness of such a mixed reality (MR) system, its usability, the comprehension of the contents, the efficacy of the logistics and environmental conditions, as well as the educational impact. The results of such inquiries helped the CNR ISPC team to identify the most meaningful User eXperience Analytics (UXA) able to support the work of UX evaluators and UX designers to assess the efficacy of digital cultural products. Indeed, this manuscript presents UXA and tries to draft a concrete and effective evaluation model for future digital projects for museum contexts.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused major disruptions to U.S. school systems since March 2020. To facilitate our understanding of how school nurses participated in school reopening and what support school nurses needed beginning the 2020–2021 school year during the COVID-19 pandemic, we conducted a national survey in late summer 2020. A sample of 747 school nurses from 43 states responded to an online survey about roles, practices, and concerns. Over one-third (36.9%) reported not being included in school reopening planning. Mitigation practices reported by respondents primarily included measuring temperatures of students before school (21.3%), mask wearing by students (79.9%), and 6 feet social distancing (76.7%). The respondents’ greatest concerns were the educational impact on students with individualized education plans, parents sending children to school with COVID-19 symptoms, and the economic impact on families. Our results point to opportunities for greater school nurse involvement, improvements in practices, and measures to address school nurses’ concerns.
