The city of Jakarta is famous because the traffic jams, so the transportation sector needs special attention. Based on data from the Jakarta Transportation Management Agency, of the 47.5 million trips in Jakarta City, only 24% used public transportation. The Jakarta City Government has provided public transportation modes, namely the MRT. This mode of transportation offers a basic concept of TOD, area around the 400 meter buffer from the station can be accessed by walking. This concept has been developed in various cities on the Continent of Europe and America. The space conditions in a TOD based area can be assessed using the TOD Index measurement. Each TOD Index criterion has its own indicators. This study uses 8 criteria and 18 indicators that can measure the value of the TOD Index at each MRT station. Processing data is using spatial processing so that each indicator can be analyzed holistically from a spatial perspective. The TOD area of Bendungan Hilir Station is a station with the highest TOD value, amounting to 0.71. TOD Station in Lebak Bulus Station takes the lowest TOD Index value of 0.31. The TOD Index’s value at each station can be influenced by the weight of each indicator and criteria. Through this research, it is hoped that each policyholder can pay attention to every indicator on the station that is deemed necessary to be improved if needed for a TOD-based area that is in accordance with the concept of a smart city.

Keywords: TOD, space, TOD Index, smart city, 6Ds

Public transport in Warsaw is currently showing a dynamic development. The capital of Poland, as the largest city in the country, is constantly increasing spending on transport and implementing large investment projects, such as the expansion of the subway, which gives residents more opportunities for efficient movement within the agglomeration. Despite the implementation of these investments, there are still some sensitive places in Warsaw where access to public transport may be difficult. Given these conditions, a study of public transportation accessibility is warranted and socially needed. This article presents the results of a questionnaire survey conducted among Warsaw residents. The study included a group of 986 respondents, most people between the ages of 18 and 44. The analysis conducted looked at perceived accessibility of public transportation and satisfaction with public transportation services. As a result of the study, we could identify the main factors that influence passenger satisfaction, as well as examine transport accessibility in the social city of Warsaw. Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, which has its own problems in building transportation facilities, especially on land routes. For private vehicle users, congestion is a common thing, given the very dense number of people living in Jakarta, both natives and migrants from outside the region. And for users of public transportation services such as city transportation (angkot) and transjakarta, convenience is the main obstacle. And even though it is a public vehicle, it cannot avoid congestion because it is in one lane with private vehicles except for the transjakarta bus which has its own lane. Meanwhile, for train-based public transportation such as MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), LRT (Light rail Transit), and electric railroad (KRL), the problem is the lack of integration, namely that many stations are not yet integrated with other transportation. Various policies have been implemented to overcome these problems. This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness and efficiency of public transportation in DKI Jakarta today. The method used in this research is qualitative-descriptive through a literature review on 16 journal articles and 4 websites. The results of this study indicate that congestion is a major problem in the means of transportation in Jakarta. This is due to the increase in population due to urbanization which is also accompanied by an increase in the number of private vehicles. Therefore, to overcome this, the Jakarta Provincial Government has made improvements, reforms, and developments in public transportation. And it is hoped that people who originally used private vehicles will switch to using public transportation. But in reality, various problems in public transportation in Jakarta have not been resolved properly. Especially why traffic jams still occur?, and what are the solutions to overcome them?. It is hoped that the results of the findings of this study can be used as a reference in making or designing policies and can contribute to overcoming problems in the transportation sector, especially in the DKI Jakarta area. The limit of this research is that it only focuses on land transportation facilities in Jakarta.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is one of public vehicle systems in modern cities to provide transportation services fast, confortable, and cost saving. However, effectiveness of one BRT route depends on the locations of its stops. This study focuses on determining optimal locations to build the stops of a BRT route. Firstly, criteria having influences on effective operation of a BRT stop are explorered, consisting of i) traveling demands, e.g. buildings, offices, industrial parks, hopitals, etc; ii) public transportations, e.g. metro stations, bus stops, etc; and iii) roads, e.g. crossroads, parking lots, etc. Secondly, each criterion is assigned a weighted factor representative for its influence, determined by the AHP method. Finally, the progress of data processing in GIS environment is established to create a weighted overlay map from all criteria. Subsequently, locations having high values are reasonable to build BRT stops. This progress has been applied to locate BRT stops of the Vo Van Kiet – Mai Chi Tho route in Ho Chi Minh City. The result indicates 40 BRT stops along this route, and it is considered as a scientific reference to help the city government in decision making.
