Interaction plays a very important role in the classroom between students and teachers. This research was conducted to study the ways teachers initiate the interaction and give feedback to the students’ responses and was also meant to find out the students’ and teachers’ views towards their interaction in the classroom.Case study was conducted in an English institution mediating the teachers and students with different goals in the context of one student and one teacher in a class. This study employed observation to see the ways teachers initiate the interaction and give feedback to the students’ responses. Interview was undertaken to know students’ and teachers’ views towards their interaction in the classroom. There were 5 cases observed. This research was conducted following the series of data collection, data reduction, and data display. Interview was conducted to help gain the views from students and teachers.The result shows that the teachers initiated the interaction and gave feedback by employing all strategies with different frequency. However, student was also found to give initiation which gave much contribution to the continuation of the interaction during the teaching and learning process. It is really recommended for the next researchers to study on the non-linguistic strategies employed by teachers to initiate and give feedback since they were also found during the observation of this study.

This study was conducted as an attempt to investigate in what step of scientific approach theteachers most frequently use translation in English Language Teaching as well as to find out the teachers’reasons toward the use of translation in English Language Teaching based on scientific approach atSMP Negeri 4 Singaraja and SMP Negeri 5 Singaraja. It was conducted in qualitative research design.There were two teachers chosen as the subjects of study. The data were collected through audio recordingthe teaching and learning process and interviewing the subjects of study, while the techniques ofanalyzing data were done descriptively following the four processes according to the theory of Miles &Huberman (1984), namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Theresults of analysis indicated that the teachers most frequently used translation in exploring step of scientificapproach. In addition, there were seven teachers’ reasons found in relation to the use of translationin the classroom, namely to help the students’ difficulty in: (1) understanding the instruction given bythe teacher, (2) understanding the English vocabulary, (3) asking something in English, (4) understandingthe tenses or grammar, (5) understanding the material deeply, (6) doing the task, and (7) presentingtheir work. The related parties interested in the same area of the research should give deeper concern indoing wider range of aspects involved in further study.Keywords : Translation, the Use of L1 in ELT, Scientific Approach

This research was conducted to analyze the differences between certified and non-certified English teachers in the teaching and learning process. The researcher formulated the objective of the research was to find out the differences between certified and non-certified English teachers in the teaching and learning process. Based on the objective of the research above, so the researcher came to analize the differences between certified and non-certified English teachers, they were one of certified English teacher in SMP Neg. 1 Kolaka and one of non-certified English teacher in SMK Negeri 1 Kolaka. The design of the research, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative analysis. In conducting the research, the researcher used two kinds of data collection, they were interview and observation. In analysis of the data, the researcher used techniques of data analysis by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data display and verifying and conclusion. In representing the analysis, the researcher mentioned the findings of certified and non-certified English teachers in the teaching and learning process. Furthermore, through out, the analysis, the researcher explained that certified and non-certified English teachers had some differences in the teaching and learning process. They showed differences in some indicators, they were material mastery, systematic presentation, methods application, using media, performance and motivation. Based on the finding and analysis, the researcher made conclusion that certified English teacher didn’t have all indicators in his teaching and learning process. Conversely, non-certified English teacher had all indicators in his teaching and learning process. In other words, non-certified English teacher had good quality than certified English teacher.

Abstract: The purposes of this study are to find out: (1) the implementation of Radin Inten II’s resistance nationalism values in the learning process; (2) the obstacles experienced by teachers when implementing Radin Inten II’s resistance nationalism values in the learning process; (3) the efforts made by teachers in overcoming obstacles during the implementation of Radin Inten II’s nationalism values in the learning process. This study used qualitative approach with the type of case study conducted at SMAN 1 Kalianda. Data collection techniques consisted of observation, interviews, and documentary studies. Data analysis techniques used the model of Miles & Huberman consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results show: (1) the implementation of Radin Inten II’s nationalism resistance values in the process of learning local history was carried out by compiling a syllabus and implementing learning plan (RPP) by incorporating local history into Indonesian historical material which was consisted of planning, implementation, and evaluation, (2) the obstacles experienced by teachers included: the ability of teachers during learning process, students’ attitudes, and time constraints, (3) the efforts made by the teacher were taking the initiative to instill the values of nationalism in the resistance of Radin Inten II’s, applying various models, strategies, methods and singing a national song before learning. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran, (2) kendala yang dialami oleh guru saat implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran, (3) upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi saat implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus di SMAN 1 Kalianda. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) implementasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme perlawanan Radin Inten II dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah lokal dilakukan dengan menyusun silabus dan rencana pelaksana pembelajaran (RPP) dengan memasukkan sejarah lokal kedalam materi sejarah Indonesia yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, (2) kendala yang dialami oleh guru diantaranya: kemampuan guru dalam proses pembelajaran, sikap siswa, dan adanya keterbatasan waktu, (3) upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru yaitu berinisiatif menanamkan nilai-nilai nasionalisme dalam perlawanan Radin Inten II, menerapkan berbagai model, strategi, metode dan menyanyikan lagu nasional sebelum pembelajaran.

This study aims to reveal and formulate Javanese philosophical values and philosophical foundations in Serat Centhini. It was a qualitative descriptive study. The data source was the Serat Centhini text. The research steps included data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The data were analyzed using the hermeneutic and heuristic techniques. The findings are as follows. First, Javanese philosophical values in Serat Centhini are reflected in Javanese cultural contents and philosophy reflecting the Javanese society when Serat Centhini was written. The Javanese philosophy in Serat Centhiniis reflected by the life perfection value (ngudi kasampurnan) and the philosophy of origin and destination (sangkan paraning dumadi). Second, the philosophy in Serat Centhini is reflected in the ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations.

This study aims to determine the extent to which the application of archive learning based on the Kurikulum 2013 conducted by XII students in Office Administration at the SMK Negeri 1 Tepus. This is a evaluative study in which the methods used are Context, Input, Process and Product (CIPP). Data collection is obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis using interactive analysis by Miles and Huberman consists of data collection, data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (data display) and conclusions (conclusions / verification). The results of the study indicate that the implementation of archive learning is considered, starting with preparing syllabus and lesson plans (RPP) so that they can be implemented in the classroom starting from Opening Activities, Core Activities, and Closing Activities. However, in real practice, these activities are considered to be less in line with the implementation of the Kurikulum 2013 because there have been many obstacles felt by teachers, students, and school infrastructure.

This research was inspired by some of the realities that the author found related to the implementation of character education, especially in several regencies/cities in East Kalimantan. Apart from the author’s concern toward the case of the moral decadence of the nation's children, this should be a demand and obligation for every educator to form the character of his students. Therefore, various models and innovations began to be developed by educational units led by creative teachers starting to package character-based learning designs and innovations. This research focuses on character models developed by the school. This research is a field work research that focuses on multi-site studies. Sources of data in this study include: teachers and students in several schools are the focus of research. The research locus is spread in several regions, namely: Tarakan, Bulungan, East Kutai and Bontang. The data collection techniques that the author uses in this study include: observations, interviews and documentations. Furthermore, the findings of the research data were processed using Milles and Hubberman's interactive analysis using the data reduction flow , data display and data conclusions . Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the character values developed include: religious values, creative, independent and responsible, the spirit of nationality and love for the motherland, tolerance, communication and love the environment.

This study aims to describe the learning medium of economic education at senior High School in Banjarmasin with media based on local wisdom.This research uses qualitative method as developed by Miles & Huberman, starting from data collection, data reduction data display, and then made conclusion. Data were collected in the order of Basic Competence (KD) of Economics lesson, from Class X, XI, and XII. The data are grouped into media that are (a) audio, (b) visual, and (c) audio & visual. Respondents are economic teachers, MGMP Economics, the school, especially the principal in question.From this research, it is known that the use of learning media based on local wisdom in high school in Banjarmasin City has been done mostly using audio, visual or audio & visual media, in every Basic Competence (KD) of economic learning. Already there are inserted with the media based on local wisdom, but has not been explored to the fullest.

Speech acts happen within the communication between teachers and students in online learning interactions. This study aims to describe the forms of illocutionary acts and representations of an Indonesian teacher's power strategies in online learning interactions through WhatsApp and Google Classroom. A descriptive qualitative was used to garner written conversations between the teacher and the students. This study involves an Indonesian language teacher and students, totaling 36 students. The data was gathered from written conversational speeches conveyed by the teacher and students through WhatsApp and Google Classroom during online learning. The data was analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model, including data collection, data reduction (data presentation), drawing temporary conclusion and verification, and conclusion and recommendation. The study reveals several types of illocutionary acts, such as assertive, directive, expressive and commissive – while no types of illocutionary acts are found. The teacher's representation of the power strategy in online learning interactions includes speech control, threatening, and being angry with insinuation.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara sekolah dengan pendidikan inklusif di SDN 12 GEDONG pada masa pandemic COVID – 19 yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi mata kuliah Pendidikan Orientasi Baru dalam Pendidikan Khusus. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan beberapa cara yaitu melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Kegiatan belajar mengajar masih tetap berjalan melalui pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan media daring sesuai dengan ketentuan dan aturan sekolah serta pemerintah . Proses belajar mengajar pada masa Pandemi COVID - 19 di SDN 12 Gedong dilakukan secara Daring untuk mencegah atau meminimalisir kontak fisik antara guru dan murid sehingga dapat memotong dan menghentikan penyebaran virus COVID -19. This research aims to find out how schools with inclusive education at SDN 12 GEDONG during the COVID-19 pandemic are aimed at fulfilling the New Orientation Education course in Special Education. The data collection method was carried out in several ways, namely through observation, interviews, and document study. Teaching and learning activities are still ongoing through distance learning with online media in accordance with the rules and regulations of the school and government. The teaching and learning process during the COVID-19 Pandemic at SDN 12 Gedong was carried out online to prevent or minimize physical contact between teachers and students so as to cut and stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis implementasi grading system remunerasi terhadapkinerja karyawan melalui pemberian insentif karyawan pada BPR Konvensional di Sidoarjo, (2)untuk mengidentifikasi kendala pelaksanaan grading system remunerasi pada BPR Konvensional diSidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian mixed methods (kuantitatif dan kualitatif).Desain penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan program sofwarestatistik SPSS, sedangkan desain penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan forum groupdiscussions (FGD) dan telaah dokumen, keabsahan data menggunakan credibility, confirmability,transferability, dependability. Teknik analisis data menggunakan data collection, data reduction,data display dan conclusion. Responden atau Informan penting dalam penelitian ini adalah Direksi;Direktur Utama dan Kepatuhan, Kepala Operasional, Manajer, Supervisor, Admin, Marketing danPenagihan. Hasil yang diperoleh implementasi grading system remunerasi terhadap kinerjakaryawan melalui pemberian insentif menunjukkan bahwa insentif marketing dan supervisorsebesar 82,70% dari total pemberian insentif keseluruhan, dan insentif collector dan remidialsebesar 17,30% dari total pemberian insentif pada BPR Buduran Delta Purnama. Adapun kendalapelaksanaan grading system remunerasi pada BPR Konvensional di Sidoarjo adalah pemberianinsentif yang diberlakukan BPR adalah sama terhadap semua karyawan tanpa memandang masajabatan tetapi hasil pada bulan operasional, sehingga karyawan dengan tingkat prestasi yang tinggidi BPR dapat diraih semua karyawan meskipun di level yang terendah dan lebih menitikberatkankepentingan untuk memperoleh nasabah dalam jumlah besar sehingga insentif untuk marketing dansupervisor lebih besar jumlahnya sehingga dapat menimbulkan iri hati karyawan bagian lainnyadan berpindah pada perusahaan lain.
