For designing routes of sink drawing pipes a certain assortment it is necessary to choose correctly the initial sizes of preparation, to calculate admissible deformations on diameter and a wall. Sink drawing to pipes after short-drawing drawing or rolling on cold rolling mills, ie pipes having a certain difference.When designing routes to drawing it is necessary to predict in advance the size and direction of change wall thickness. The analysis of influence and its character for each parameter on change of wall thickness is carried out. Taking into account the analysis and the nature of the identified dependences, tested the construction of multiple linear and nonlinear regression to determine the wall thickness of the workpiece by , , , , .To order to assess the accuracy of the pipes after sink drawing, technological routes of pipes production from carbon steel grades were developed and investigated. According to the developed routes by the production technology, batches of tubes were drawn, samples were taken from each batch and wall thickness measurements were made at equally distant points of pipe cross-section.According to the results of measurements, correlation-regression analysis was performed, factors influencing the variation of difference were determined and regression models were built.With a small diversity of the workpiece (less than 3%) the diversity of the finished pipes increases, with a diversity of the workpiece 3 ... 4% the diversity of the finished pipes changes little and > 4% the diversity of the finished pipes decreases.The intensity of the correction ( <1) depends on the compression ratio in diameter : the larger the value , the more intense the correction of the difference. That is, to correct the difference ( >4%) in the sink drawing, it is necessary to increase the coefficient of extraction.The results of research are introduced into the calculations of routes and technological maps of production in order to predict the diversity of finished pipes during drawing and supplemented the software for determining the size of the workpiece when designing routes for drawing carbon cold-formed pipes by sink drawing.

Abstract The aim of the paper is to verify gender income differences and to reveal factors influencing differences in remuneration. Gender income differences across the EU range from 6% in Romania to 27% in the Czech Republic. Data from 178,878 employees filtered from the EU-SILC database were used for calculations. Stepwise regression analysis was used to identify factors that affect gender income differences. The greatest effect was shown in the “Absolute Income”, then the “Job Change in the Last Year” factor, but the “Education” and “Age” showed a strongly negative tendency. Extraordinary attention is devoted to the effect of the “Job sector” factor, which also significantly contributes to the difference in income. Different representation of gender appears in different industries, which can be caused by preferences and be a consequence of persisting society-wide stereotypes. Social policies are not in line with changes in society and lag behind the development of society.

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between extrinsic and intrinsic reward on retention among Gen Y employees in Malaysian manufacturing companies. The data was collected from 113 respondents worked in manufacturing companies located in Seri Kembangan, Selangor using questionnaires. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to test the hypotheses. The results showed both extrinsic and intrinsic reward are the factors influencing retaining Gen Y in manufacturing companies. The discussion on the analysis, limitation of the study, recommendation for future research and conclusion were discussed at the end of this study. In a nutshell, it was proven extrinsic reward and intrinsic reward has contributed to the retention of Gen Y employees.

<p><em>This research aims to identify the factors influencing the audit quality of auditors at Inspektorat Provinsi Riau. The population in this research were auditor, examiner, assistant examiner, and P2UPD (Pengawas Penyelenggara Urusan Pemerintah di Daerah) in charge at the Inspectorate in Riau Province and all Inspectorates in Districts and Cities in Riau Province. A total of 290 set of questionnaire were sent and a number of 184 of questionnaires were processed. Using regression analysis conducted by SPSS, the hypotheses testing analysis results show that experience, responsiveness, professional care, executive involvement</em><em>t, planning</em><em> and auditability have significant and positive effect on audit quality. These results indicate that the higher the levels of experience, responsiveness, professional care, executive involvement and auditability of Inspectorate officials, the better the quality of audit performed by the Inspectorate Officials of Riau Province.</em></p>

The main goal of our study was to determine how the age of children, puberty and anthropometric parameters affect the formation of body composition and faulty body posture development in children. The secondary goal was to determine in which body segments abnormalities most often occur and how gender differentiates the occurrence of adverse changes in children’s body posture and body composition during puberty. The study group consisted of 464 schoolchildren aged from 6–16. Body posture was assessed with the Zebris system. The composition of the body mass was tested with Tanita MC 780 MA body mass analyzer and the body height was measured using a portable stadiometer PORTSTAND 210. The participants were further divided due to the age of puberty. Tanner division was adopted. The cut-off age for girls is ≥10 years and for boys it is ≥12 years. The analyses applied descriptive statistics, the Pearson correlation, stepwise regression analysis and the t-test. The accepted level of significance was p < 0.05. The pelvic obliquity was lower in older children (beta = −0.15). We also see that age played a significant role in the difference in the height of the right pelvis (beta = −0.28), and the difference in the height of the right shoulder (beta = 0.23). Regression analysis showed that the content of adipose tissue (FAT%) increased with body mass index (BMI) and decreased with increasing weight, age, and height. Moreover, the FAT% was lower in boys than in girls (beta negative equal to −0.39). It turned out that older children (puberty), had greater asymmetry in the right shoulder blade (p < 0.001) and right shoulder (p = 0.003). On the other hand, younger children (who were still before puberty) had greater anomalies in the left trunk inclination (p = 0.048) as well as in the pelvic obliquity (p = 0.008). Girls in puberty were characterized by greater asymmetry on the right side, including the shoulders (p = 0.001), the scapula (p = 0.001) and the pelvis (p < 0.001). In boys, the problem related only to the asymmetry of the shoulder blades (p < 0.001). Girls were characterized by a greater increase in adipose tissue and boys by muscle tissue. Significant differences also appeared in the body posture of the examined children. Greater asymmetry within scapulas and shoulders were seen in children during puberty. Therefore, a growing child should be closely monitored to protect them from the adverse consequences of poor posture or excessive accumulation of adipose tissue in the body.

Electrically melted and over-heated (>1500 °C) grey cast iron at less than 0.04%S, as commonly used, solidifies large amounts of carbides and/or undercooled graphite, especially in thin wall castings; this is necessary to achieve a stronger inoculation. The efficiency of Ce-bearing FeSi alloy is tested for lower ladle addition rates (0.15 and 0.25 wt.%), compared to the base and conventional inoculated iron (Ba,Ca-bearing FeSi alloy). The present work explores chill and associated structures in hypoeutectic grey iron (3.6–3.8%CE, 0.02%S, (%Mn) × (%S) = 0.013–0.016, Alres < 0.002%), in wedge castings W1, W2 and W3 (ASTM A 367, furan resin sand mould), at a lower cooling modulus (1.1–3.5 mm) that is typically used to control the quality of thin wall iron castings. Relatively clear and total chill well correlated with the standard thermal (cooling curve) analysis parameters and structural characteristics in wedge castings, at different wall thickness, displayed as the carbides/graphite ratio and presence of undercooled graphite morphologies. The difference in effects of the two inoculants addition is seen as the ability to decrease the amount of carbides and undercooled graphite, with Ce-bearing FeSi alloy outperforming the conventional inoculant, especially as the wall thickness decreased. It appears that Ce-bearing FeSi alloy could be a solution for low sulphur, electric melt, thin wall iron castings production.

Randomized response (RR) techniques are widely used in research involving sensitive variables, such as drugs, violence or crime, especially when a population mean or prevalence must be estimated. However, they are not generally applied to examine relationships between a sensitive variable and other characteristics. This type of technique was initially applied to qualitative variables, and studies later showed that a logistic regression may be performed with RR data. Since many of the variables considered in this context are quantitative, RR techniques were extended to these cases to estimate the values required. Regression analysis is a valuable statistical tool for exploring relationships among variables and for establishing associations between responses and covariates. In this article, we propose a design-based regression analysis for complex sample designs based on the unified RR approach. We present estimators of the regression coefficients, study their theoretical properties and consider different ways to estimate their variance. The properties of these estimation techniques were simulated using various quantitative randomized models. The method proposed was also used to analyse the findings from a real-world survey.

The secondary traumatic stress (STS) of nurses caring for COVID-19 patients is expected to be high, and it can adversely affect patient care. The purpose of this study was to examine the degree of STS of nurses caring for COVID-19 patients, and we identified various factors that influence STS. This study followed a descriptive design. The data of 136 nurses who had provided direct care to COVID-19 patients from 5 September to 26 September 2020 were collected online. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to identify the factors influencing STS. Participants experienced moderate levels of STS. The regression model of Model 1 was statistically significant (F = 6.21, p < 0.001), and the significant factors influencing STS were the duration of care for patients with COVID-19 for more than 30 days (β = 0.28, p < 0.001) and working in an undesignated COVID-19 hospital (β = 0.21, p = 0.038). In Model 2, the factor influencing STS was the support of a friend in the category of social support (β = −0.21, p = 0.039). The nurses caring for COVID-19 patients are experiencing a persistent and moderate level of STS. This study can be used as basic data to treat and prevent STS.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate outdoor PM2.5 infiltration into multifamily homes according to the building characteristics using regression models. Field test results from 23 multifamily homes were analyzed to investigate the infiltration factor and building characteristics including floor area, volume, outer surface area, building age, and airtightness. Correlation and regression analysis were then conducted to identify the building factor that is most strongly associated with the infiltration of outdoor PM2.5. The field tests revealed that the average PM2.5 infiltration factor was 0.71 (±0.19). The correlation analysis of the building characteristics and PM2.5 infiltration factor revealed that building airtightness metrics (ACH50, ELA/FA, and NL) had a statistically significant (p < 0.05) positive correlation (r = 0.70, 0.69, and 0.68, respectively) with the infiltration factor. Following the correlation analysis, a regression model for predicting PM2.5 infiltration based on the ACH50 airtightness index was proposed. The study confirmed that the outdoor-origin PM2.5 concentration in highly leaky units could be up to 1.59 times higher than that in airtight units.
