Recreational use of forest resources is the most important for urban green forests. Every year the problem of satisfying the population growing needs for recreation in the forest, while ensuring its preservation, acquires special relevance. The main function of Somovskoe Forestry (Voronezh region) is environmental protection, which includes the implementation of protective, water conservation, and recreational functions. Grass pine forests are the most comfortable for vacationers in Somovskoe forestry. In the study, the recreational potential of the Somovskoe Forestry (Voronezh region) has been estimated based on the methods of various authors, types of landscapes, types and forms of recreation, stages of digression, planning and aesthetic value. It has been revealed that most of the plantations are occupied with a closed type of l of horizontal closeness. The predominant class of aesthetic evaluation of the examined stands is II. The largest area is occupied by the strata with III and IV stage of digression. The main types of recreation in the stands of Somovskoe forestry are everyday and camping ones. The main forms are off-road and road ones. The predominant class of aesthetic assessment is II (65% ± 3.2). It is a plantation with reduced visibility and patency. The recreational potential of the studied artificial pine plantations is not higher than class II. Recommendations on regulating the movement of vacationers with the goal of hindering the "development" of the entire forest area, the development of measures to improve the culture and discipline of recreants, to increase the sustainability and productivity of plantations have been given on the basis of research results.

The article contains the results of processing the taxation description of the Shartashsky forest park and the results of pre-design landscape analysis. The development of pre-design analysis is necessary with the correct and effective distribution of functional zoning of the forest park, the allocation of areas prohibited for visiting in order to preserve disturbed biocenosis, and the identifi cation of the most attractive areas for targeted recreational activities. During the studies, the area was divided according to the estimated classes of indicators and the ratios between the classes to the quarterly area and the total area of the forest park were calculated. When developing pre-design landscape analysis, the characteristics of plantations were taken into account: age, height and diameters, bonitet class, types of landscapes, recreational assessment and stages of recreational digression. The analysis of taxation indicators in the forest park revealed the predominance of weighted-age pine plantations forming a closed type of landscape with the predominance of the average recreational assessment and the 1st stage of recreational digression. According to the results of the study, the predominance of low classes of taxi description indicators was noted on the territory of the Shartash Forest Park. Given the intensive visit to the forest park, low classes of taxi description indicators indicate insignifi cant changes in the forest environment of the territory under consideration. Nevertheless, the presence of allotments with overestimated indicators in the territory refl ects the need for measures to control the recreational use of the forest park. The results of the study are applicable in the development of projects for the improvement of the Shartashsky forest park, the analysis of taxation indicators over a certain time period, the identifi cation and determination of the dynamics of changes in indicators in the natural forest environment.

The land function alteration happens massively at Kecamatan Cimenyan, an area in North Bandung Region or known as Kawasan Bandung Utara (KBU). KBU areas are important because it is located traverse 4 different regions, such as Bandung, Kabupaten Bandung, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, and Cimahi. The main function KBU areas to the cities and districts are very important, especially for water infiltration. It means that these areas are become the main water conservation land and also a flooding prevention area, not only for Bandung Raya region, but also for West Java Region. Land function alteration that happen in Kecamatan Cimenyan are encompass forest, plantation, dry land agricultural plant or known as TPLK conversion and water conservation land alteration into housing development, hotel chain business, and even change into mining area. That leads to environmental changes, such as soil erosion and sedimentation, overflowing river that leads to floods. It’s all because the water conservation areas are getting smaller and smaller each day. Thus, this research aimed to analyse the policy implementation factors that affect the region management effectiveness, hindrance factor, and also the administration efforts at Kecamatan Cimenyan Kabupaten Bandung. An explanative method was used to analyse this research, and used cluster sampling to select the sample from 9 village and kelurahan in KBU region, Kecamatan Cimenyan Kabupaten Bandung in particular. And on every stage sampling are taken by simple random sampling method. The data of this research are examine using structure equation modelling (SEM), a procedure based on methods of successive interval. This research disclosed that the policy implementation that based on communication dimension, resources, disposition/support attitude and bureaucratic structure have a significant impact on the region management effectiveness. And the most significant dimension to determine the effectiveness of the region management was support/disposition dimension then followed by others dimension.

Local residents of West Borneo have expertise in producing variety of traditional crafts, one of which is woven fabrics, which is no less competitive with other regions. But there are several problems regarding the lack of facilities and infrastructure, such as less productive weaving processes, exhibitions that are held irregularly, difficulty of marketing products and no place for discussion. Therefore, the need of a place to product, exhibit, and market the products of West Borneo woven fabrics called "Center of West Borneo Weaving Craft Gallery in Pontianak" is essential. The design process starts from the analysis of functions which are divided into 3 groups, such as the main function group is commercial function, the extension function group is to produce recreation, education and performance function, while the other support function group is to produce management and service functions. The design applies theme of contemporary architecture as an approach that will support the creation of spaces that have harmonization, interactive, innovative and iconic concepts. The appeal of the idea design building shape is the philosophy of the analogy from winding’s tool which is divided into three parts and produces the main building, workshop building and multipurpose building. The number of floors for each building is almost the same which is two floors, except for the multipurpose building, which is one floor. The line movement from height of the building mass illustrates the existence of sustainability by creating an environment that represents aesthetic value and the harmonization of local culture to modernization.

Abstract The aim of the research is to identify the recreational potential of green plantings in the vicinity of the village of Kradikhino, Kichmengsko-Gorodetsky district of the Vologda Region. The research has been carried out according to the methods of a comprehensive assessment of the recreational potential of S.L. Rysin. The research results indicate that the most recreationally valuable plantings are concentrated in commercial forests. Recreational value plantings of Class III predominate in protective forests (60%), and of Class II – in commercial ones (54%). The expediency of recreational use of these plantings by the local population has been noted. The negative impact on the recreation of clear cuttings in commercial forests has been revealed. Some measures have been recommended to optimize the multifunctional use of the forests. Taking into account the high recreational value of commercial forests, it is advisable to create a landscape reserve in the 1st and 11th compartments of the Karyugsky forestry, where scientific work should also be organized to study the effect of recreation on the forest environment.

Abstract The paper studies the semantics of four Russian key terms of aesthetic evaluation: krasivyj ‘beautiful’, prekrasnyj ‘beautiful/fine’, nekrasivyj ’ugly/plain’ and bezobraznyj ‘ugly/frightful’. It demonstrates different patterns of polysemy of the words and the nuances of meaning. Following the framework of folk aesthetics and cultural semantics, the meanings of the terms in question are represented using the Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) and are shown to relate to Russian cultural themes. The analysis demonstrates cultural significance of aesthetic value in Russian and its intrinsic link with ethics, morality and politeness.

The public opinion in philosophy is guided by a multitude of factors and sometimes an idea gets general recognition but is systematically studied only after a few decades have passed. There aren?t many papers in contemporary aesthetics that can match the originality and influence of Kendall Walton?s ?Categories of Art?. It is unsurprising, then, that contemporary aestheticians often expand upon its main theses. Nevertheless, even after almost half a century from its first publication, an exhaustive and comprehensive interpretation of Walton?s paper is still lacking. Moreover, even Walton himself doesn?t provide a detailed elucidation of his ideas, many of which are merely outlined in his seminal paper. Furthermore, he doesn?t apply his view to evaluative aesthetic judgments, even though such an attempt could today, when the debate about aesthetic canons is on the wane, might help us understand the nature of aesthetic evaluation. The goal of this paper is to once again shed some light on the significance of Walton?s approach and on its reception in contemporary aesthetics.

Abstract In recent years, the construction of urban forest parks has run into the fast lane in China. As an indispensable natural landscape resource for urban forest parks, forest landscape has been paid increasing attentions by the public, in contrast, less effort has been made in the field of aesthetic evaluation of forest landscape. Based on the theories of landscape esthetics and psychology, this paper aims to present methods for the aesthetic evaluation, and understand citizen’s aesthetic perceptions of forest landscape using Semantic Differential (SD) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) methods. Moreover, further suggestions will be put forward for a better development of the forest landscape, thereby giving full play to their landscape and recreation functions. As per the findings of this paper, the vegetation element diversity (PC 1 ), the magnificent feel (PC 2 ), the nature-pastoral feel (PC 3 ) and the sense of space (PC 4 ) present the critical comprehensive indexes affecting the aesthetic values of the forest landscape. The relationship between the comprehensive indexes and the landscape aesthetic value is revealed by multiple regression analyses. PC 3 and PC 4 are found to be less influencing on aesthetic values than PC 1 and PC 2 . At last, three suggestions for the construction and protection of forest landscape are put forward. The results of this study will contribute to the preservation of the forest landscape aesthetic, and the integration of these conclusions into the sustainable development strategies of urban forest parks.
