The study aims to present a Scientometric analysis of scientific output of the Ayurveda research indexed to Scopus Database, In last two decades the ayurvedic studies clearly show the improvement in scientific research and development throughout the world, and the most of the ayurvedic research outputs are written by Indian authors and collaborated widely throughout different countries researchers. It is clearly showing that Ayurvedic research is well developed in India and significantly improved over the last two decades. This study was conducted from the data indexed from 1923 to 2018 in the multidisciplinary SCOPUS database. The analysis included analyzing total publishing patterns in terms of total articles, productive countries, organizations, Journals, productive writers, most cited articles along with citation and h-index effects. During the study period, the SCOPUS database published 2038 papers. Such papers have been further reviewed to explain findings. The main purpose of the study is to explain India’s position in publishing top Ayurvedic research papers.

<p class="0abstractCxSpFirst"><span lang="EN-US">Purpose: The purpose of the paper was to explore the central keyword searched (<em>e.g., mobile healthcare</em>). It also aimed at identifying the valuable contributions made by authors, journals, countries, and institutions and their associations in ‘<em>mobile healthcare</em>’ search around the world. </span></p><p class="0abstractCxSpMiddle"><span lang="EN-US">Methodology: Data was extracted from 2012 to 2020 by using Scopus database and analysed through VOSviewer software and MS Excel. PRISMA guidelines were used to screen the records. </span></p><p class="0abstractCxSpMiddle"><span lang="EN-US">Analysis: Co-authorship, Co-occurrence, Bibliographic Coupling and Co-citation analysis were executed to identify the links and collaborations among the authors, countries, author keywords and documents globally. </span></p><p class="0abstractCxSpMiddle"><span lang="EN-US">Findings: Results showed that <em>Yang X</em>. had the highest association with other authors and <em>Sood, S.K.</em> had published more documents than others. <em>Australia</em> was found to have the highest association with other countries, and <em>India</em> was leading other countries in publications. <em>Computers and Electrical Engineering</em> was found to be the leading journal in publication of documents. </span></p><p class="0abstractCxSpLast"><span lang="EN-US">Originality:<em> </em>This study, to best of our knowledge, was the first of its kind in mapping the ‘<em>mobile healthcare</em>’ search which was designed till 2020. This will aid in shaping and understanding the central theme and set the future research directions for the researchers.</span></p>

Background. The academic scientific research in the field of dentistry has rapidly increased in the last 20 years under the pressure of the multidisciplinary technological advancements and the growing demand for new predictable and cost-effective techniques and materials. The aim of the present investigation was to analyze the academic scientific production conducted by Italian Academies and Dental Schools. Methods. The list of MED/28 academic researchers, associate and full professors, and academic affiliations was collected from the national database of CINECA to evaluate the scientific output of the Italian Universities. The complete list of scientific contributions and the bibliometric parameters were recorded in the Scopus database. Results. The scientific production of 37 Italian Universities, 416 researchers, and 23689 papers was evaluated. The measurement of total academic papers, citations, h-index, and relative citation ratio (RCR) was calculated. The study data showed an increase of the academic scientific production over the last 5 years. Conclusions. The results presented show how scientific research is increasingly pursued by dental clinicians.

This paper describes the scientometric study of faculty member’s research productivity at Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd University (PMU) in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The study aims to evaluate the research performances of the faculty members at Mohammed Bin Fahd University, researchers and graduate students for the last 10 years. PMU was established in 2008 and data is collected for this case study from Scopus database during 2008-2018. This study has analyzed approximately 609 scientific research publications over 10 years. These publications include 434 research papers, 143 conference proceedings, 15 book chapters, 11 reviews, and 2 Erratum. The current study highlights the active researchers of the PMU, their fields, and the journals in which they published their research work. An evaluation of their research productivity in terms of publishing, citations, and H-index is also described. The paper also analyzes the significant differences between the averages of research productivity level for the PMU faculty members due to the variables ranking, and the difficulties for research production from the opinion of the faculty members.

<p>The study presents the scientometric profile of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU), Amravati during 1996-2017. The required research output for the study has been pulled out from SCOPUS database on the basis of affiliation based search. The complete research output is 1130 with 11.67% average citations per paper. The highest H-index (17) was found in the year 2013. 20.08% documents were produced though international collaboration. SGBAU, Amravati has the largest collaboration with Brazil (69) and United States (21). Authorship pattern predicts collaborative trend. Research papers produced with three authors have got the maximum (4444) citations. Journals (839) and Conference papers (174) are the most popular source type preferred by the faculty of SGBAU for research expression. Mahendra Rai (209), S. K. Omnwar (143) and Anand S. Aswar (94) are the most prolific authors. It is noteworthy that Alka P. Yadav has got 3073 citations for her 17 papers. Most of the articles are published in the domain of Physics and Astronomy (356). With regard to institutional collaboration, the faculty members of the SGBAU have confined themselves to the Maharashtra state most of the time. The study is about the Scientometric analysis of published articles under the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune since 2001 to 2019. Total of 6449 documents were studied. Specialisation Index and the Research Priority Index have been used for analysing the subjects and their sub-subjects Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Engineering. The study provides an overview of research conducted by the University and tries to show the weaker and stronger areas in four major subjects. The study measures and illustrates the research efforts taken by the Savitribai Phule Pune University in comparison with research efforts taken by the Nation and the World in the same subjects. The study found ‘Physics’ as a specialised subject in the University which obtained 1.455 SI Index Value. The study also reveals that ‘Medical Chemistry’ with 333.2 PI Value in Chemistry, ‘Polymer Science’ with 757.87 PI Value in Physics, ‘Microbiology’ with 1090.51 PI Value in Biology, and ‘Biotechnology Applied Microbiology’ with 936.9 PI Value in Engineering have received the highest research priority and corresponds to the Nation’s research productivity efforts in the same Sub-subjects. The study provides different ranking such as author’s productivity, most cited authors, author’s impact (h-index, g-index, m-index), most-cited journals and most contributed journals.

Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis is a decision-making technique that is used by practitioners and frequently discussed and applied by researchers. This present study attempts to review the literature of applications of MCDA techniques in the area of sustainability using citation analysis. For the data collection, the Scopus database was used. With the help of related keywords, 701 research papers were identified and found suitable for analysis. These papers were then analyzed based on country, author, citation, year, and other criteria to demonstrate the pattern of research applying MCDA in sustainability. The CiteSpace tool was also used to present the clusters, citation analysis, and keywords as bursts. The findings of the present study will help future researchers better explore the field.

Background:: Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) prevalent in different parts of the world. The present study was designed to evaluate the scientific output and collaboration of researchers worldwide on trichomoniasis. Methods: In the present scientometric research, all papers conducted on Trichomonas vaginalis (T. vaginalis) published in the time period of 1922 to 2018 were extracted from the Scopus database and evaluated according to the aims of the research, using scientometric software. Results: The results of this search strategy were the retrieval of 12,596 scientific papers authored by a total of 28,822 people during 97 years (1922-2018). Research in this field have encountered success and failure over the years. The first article on trichomoniasis at the Scopus database was published by Musgrave W.E. (1922) in the “Journal of the American Medical Association”. Most papers on this subject (352) were published in 2013; and the years 2017 and 2016 are ranked second and third. Researchers from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have the highest number of papers in this field (210). Alderete J.F. with 111 papers is the most active researcher on trichomoniasis in Scopus. Also, researchers from the US ranked the first with 3,236 papers. In Iran, by the end of 2018, 138 papers on trichomoniasis have been registered in Scopus, which accounts for only one percent of the world's science production in this field. Discussion: The results following about one century indicated that number of publications on T. vaginalis is growing and that there is a high level of collaboration among researchers in this field. Moreover, many countries have collaborated internationally on trichomoniasis research with the US as the leading country.

Nobody doubts the importance of the scientific performance’s evaluation. At the same time its way divides the group of experts. The present study mostly deals with the models of citation-analysis based evaluation. The aim of the authors is to present the background of the best known tool – Impact factor – since, according to the authors’ experience, to the many people use without knowing it well. In addition to the „nonofficial impact factor” and Euro-factor, the most promising index-number, h-index is presented. Finally new initiation – Index Copernicus Master List – is delineated, which is suitable to rank journals. Studying different indexes the authors make a proposal and complete the method of long standing for the evaluation of scientific performance.

Objectives: The integrated interventional radiology (IR) residency has only been established relatively recently as compared to other specialties. Although some preliminary information is available based on survey data five, no comprehensive bibliometric analysis documenting the importance of the quantity and quality of research in applying to an integrated-IR program currently exists. As the first bibliometric analysis of matched IR residents, the data obtained from this study fills a gap in the literature. Materials and Methods: A list of matched residents from the 2018 integrated-IR match were identified by contacting program directors. The Scopus database was used to search for resident research information, including total publications, first-author publications, radiology-related publications, and h-indices. Each matriculating program was categorized into one of five tiers based on the average faculty Hirsch index (h-index). Results: Sixty-three programs and 117 matched residents were identified and reviewed on the Scopus database. For the 2018 cycle, 274 total publications were produced by matched applicants, with a mean of 2.34 ± 0.41 publication per matched applicant. The average h-index for matched applicants was 0.96 ± 0.13. On univariate analysis, the number of radiology-related publications, highest journal impact factor, and h-index were all associated with an increased likelihood of matching into a higher tier program (P < 0.05). Other research variables displayed no statistical significance. All applicants with PhDs matched into tier one programs. Conclusions: Research serves as an important element in successfully matching into an integrated-IR residency. h-index, number of radiology-related manuscripts, and highest journal impact factors are all positively associated with matching into a higher tier program.
