The article shows the importance of the use of didactic principle of visualization in the study of graphic disciplines for more effective organization of educational process, improvement of forms, methods and means of education. The authors analyze different approaches to the classification of means of visualization in modern pedagogy. The proposed classification of clarity with regard to graphic disciplines can be used not so much for their classification, as for the full and effective use of their capabilities in the learning process. The article demonstrates structural links between the stages of clarity, use of funds, ways and rules of their use, leading to successful achievement of the goals for the revitalization of the educational process and enhancing cognitive interest of students. Practical recommendations for the integrated use of means of presentation in the classes on descriptive geometry, engineering graphics and computer graphics are given. Special attention in the learning process is paid to the role of the teacher. In addition to his or her professional knowledge, a teacher should possess oratory skills, to competently combine the rhetoric and psychological techniques to use interactive and effective active forms of training, including workshops, to engage students in the learning process, to monitor feedback from the students’ audience. When conducting different kinds of practice, teachers should know the advantages and disadvantages, strengths and weaknesses, timely application of every means of presentation for greater impact and effect in the educational process. The effectiveness of using the selected visualization tools is largely determined by the methods and techniques of their use in the classroom. It is important to consider the following factors: location, convenient for review, and approach; the accessibility; the expert support of a demonstration by the review; the duration of the demonstration; training students to perceive the means of presentation, and pedagogical skills of the teacher. The article considers theoretical and methodical aspects of the use of the didactic possibilities of visual means of education, which are of great importance in the improvement of teaching graphic disciplines, mastering the methods of their rational use.

In recent years, the role of the leader in the effective operation of the school has been vastly debated in the international educational community. Through a historical study of educational leadership, this research discovered that the position of the leader is constantly being reshaped and adapted to the current social, cultural, and economic circumstances. During the last year, due to the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, the educational leadership has had to be reshaped worldwide. The aim of this study is to investigate the issues that have arisen from the aforementioned situation, as well as to try to figure out how a school’s principal might apply the basic principles of educational leadership, in a period of crisis. This investigation was focused on the use of the qualitative method. The study included 88 teachers and 5 principals from Cyprus, as well as teachers and parents. Based on the findings of the study, we discovered that the challenges faced by school principals and teachers are primarily linked to alienation, marginalization, time management, improving bureaucracy, problems with technical equipment and distance learning programs. Solution to these obstacles seemed to be the: Empathy, teamwork, and decentralization of the educational system, which are all promoted by the principal, who occasionally has additional authority.

The primary task of the 21st century education is not anymore to transfer continuous information, but the skill to acquire independently and learn this knowledge during lifetime. In the future, the development of transversal skills plays an important role in the educational process. Transversal skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving, creativity and innovation, self-guided learning, cooperation, civic participation and digital literacy, are raised in the framework of Education Reform in Latvia (Skola 2030, 2017). The beginning of the learning process during the stage of primary school is an essential step in transversal skills acquisition, particularly emphasizing the impact of the Classes 1-3 stage, on the further learning process. According to the outcomes determined in the standard of primary education to be achieved, it is necessary to develop significantly transversal skills in this stage, as well as observe carefully the changes in children’s age development that affect the possibilities of transversal skills development. The goal of the research:  analyse the development of transversal skills in primary school (Classes 1-3).Research method: content analysis of the education content regulating documents and scientific literature.

Engagement of students and the learning process in the classroom has become one of the significant challenges that higher education (HE) institutions face in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, with classes running in the virtual environment. One of the approaches that can be used to understand student behaviours and their social interactions is the community of practice (CoPs) as a construct that can be strategic to connect classes representatives, college's objectives and the student's behaviour. The class representatives can play a diverse role, from helping the tutors motivate the students on their learning process to acting as a central and essential communication channel between the students and the academic coordinators. Yet, little is known about the role of these students as a strategy to tackle such problems increased with online classes. This study investigates the impact of class representatives on students' behaviour in the sense of their engagement and learning in virtual classes context post the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a conceptual paper to bridge the mentioned theories, link work across disciplines, provide multi-level insights, and broaden the scope of thinking. The theoretical findings show that class representatives can play a relevant role by increasing engagement and facilitating the students' learning. The results can help HE institutions to develop policies and practices to be more competitive and move forward. This study advances the emergent research efforts to respond to the challenges arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
