Abstract. Healthy Clean-Living Behavior (PHBS) is carried out in order to realize a healthy life so as to prevent disease. The factors that cause the lack of people to behave in a healthy clean lifestyle are caused by their socioeconomic status. The socioeconomic status intended here is the level of education, type of work and income level. The purpose of this study was to determine how the condition of the socioeconomic status of the community and the behavior of healthy clean living in the community and to find out whether there is a relationship between socioeconomic status and healthy cleanliving behavior (PHBS) of the community in Pajukukang village, Maros district. This research is a correlation study. The sample taken was selected by cluster random sampling by taking a sample of 40 respondents per village. So that the overall sample of 120 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential data analysis. The relationship between education level and income level with PHBS was tested using Spearman rank, resulting in Asymp sig value. 0,000. Whereas the relationship of work type with PHBS was tested using contingency coefficients to produce Asymp sig. 0.010. Background: Socioeconomic status (SES) is widely recognized as an area of inequity that affects health outcomes. However, social determinants of health are less frequently measured in longitudinal studies of acute stroke patients. The relationship of SES on disability 3-months post-stroke is unknown. Methods: We analyzed ischemic stroke patients in the AVAIL registry who were enrolled at 98 hospitals participating in Get With The Guidelines-Stroke. Patients who died (n=64) or did not complete a modified Rankin Scale (mRS) at 3-months (n=154) were excluded. Multivariable logistic regression was used to examine the relationship of SES (defined by level of education, work status, and perceived adequacy of household income to meet needs) and disability (mRS scores 3-5). Results: Among the 2092 stroke patients who met eligibility criteria, the mean age was 65.5 ± 13.7, 44.2% were female, and 82.7% were White. Fifty seven percent had a high school or less education, 11.4% were not working post-stroke and were home not by choice, and 25.7% were without an adequate household income. A third of the sample had some level of disability at 3-months (34.6% mRS 3-5). Those with disability were more likely to be older, non-White, female, single, less educated, have inadequate income, and were home not by choice. In the multivariable analysis, lower education, inadequate income, and being home but not by choice (compared with those who returned to work) were independently associated with disability (p<0.01; Table ). Conclusion: In this national cohort of stroke survivors, socioeconomic status as measured by level of education, work status, and income were independently associated with post-stroke disability.

Abstract: Learning is a process that can not be separated from human life. Psychic impulse to learn is the motivation to learn. In the learning process, parents are among the factors that have a role. This study aims to determine the relationship of socio-economic status of parents with students' learning motivation. Data were collected through questionnaires. The results showed there was no correlation between socio-economic status of parents with learning motivation of Medicine Faculty Sam Ratulangi University class of 2013 students p = 0.444 (p > 0.05) and the correlation value is -0.062. It can be concluded that there was no correlation between socioeconomic status of parents with students’ learning motivation.Keywords: socio-economic status, learning motivationAbstrak : Belajar merupakan proses yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan manusia,, Dorongan psikis dalam diri untuk belajar merupakan motivasi belajar. Dalam proses belajar, orangtua merupakan salah satu faktor yang memiliki peran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan status sosial ekonomi orangtua dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Pengambilan data melalui kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara status sosial ekonomi orangtua dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa angkatan 2013 Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sam Ratulangi p=0,444 (p > 0,05) dan nilai korelasi sebesar -0,062. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara status sosial ekonomi orangtua dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa.Kata kunci: Status sosial ekonomi, motivasi belajar

This study examines the relationship between physical activity in sport and feelings of well-being, testing alternative interpretations of the relationship between these two variables. It was expected that there would be positive relationships between physical activity on the one hand and physical fitness, feelings of well-being, social interaction in the sport and exercise environment, and socioeconomic status on the other hand. It was also expected that physical fitness, social interaction, and socioeconomic status would be positively related to psychological well-being. Further, it was expected that any positive zero-order relationship of physical activity and well-being would be at least in part a result of the conjoint effects of the other variables. The analyses were conducted separately for the male and female subsamples of a large survey study of Canadian adults. The results, after controls, show a modest positive relationship of physical activity and well-being for males but no such relationship for females. The predicted independent effects of the control factors obtained for both males and females. Interpretations of the results are discussed.

Socioeconomic status of person has an important role to child development. Social economy can affect physical health, mental wellbeing and cognitive development. One of the growing disorders of attention disorder and hyperactivity disorder was characterized by hyperactive, impulsive and lack of attention. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of socioeconomic status of parents at risk of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to preschoolers in Klaten District. This study uses categorical comparative design with cross sectional approach. Respondents of this study were 84, that divided into two places, there were ABA TK Lor Sabrang Trucuk and TKIT Mutiara Hati so that every kindergarten 42 respondents obtained by purposive sampling. Data was collection by filling the instrument. Bivariate  analysis using test Chi Square. The results showed the average age of respondents were 5.25 years. The sex of the respondents is mostly male as many as 47 children or 56.0%. Test results Chi square show there is a relationship of socio-economic status of parents with ADHD (p = 0.036) and there is a different between low socioeconomic status and high that lower socioeconomic status is a risk of ADHD (25,6%) compared with high socioeconomic status (6,7%). There is a negative relationship between socioeconomic status and the risk of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder in pre-school age children.

Introduction: Serum folate (SF), vitamin B12 (B12), and iron deficiency (def) are common causes of nutritional anemias (NA). These deficiencies are usually multifactorial, with nutritional and non-nutritional causes playing a role. SF, B12, and iron levels are usually ordered in the setting of anemia, and malnutrition with or without neurologic symptoms. Clinical evidence suggests that these def have a strong dietary component and socioeconomic status (SES). The relationship of NA and area-based SES in the US has not been studied. We aimed to determine the relationship of SES with the prevalence of NA. Methods: We performed a cross-sectional analysis of adult patients with SF, B12 and iron levels at Mayo Clinic Arizona and Florida between 2010 and 2018. Race was classified using the NIH criteria. Normal laboratory values were determined according to our lab reference and the US NHANES III. SF levels (mcg/Lt) were defined as deficient &lt;4, normal ≥4.0, and excess ≥20. B12 levels (ng/L) as deficient &lt;150, borderline 150-400, normal &gt;400-900, and excess ≥900. Iron def was determined by ferritin levels (mcg/L) as low &lt;24, normal 24-336, elevated &gt;336 for men, low &lt;11, normal 11-307, elevated &gt;307 for women. Area-Level SES indicators: Median Household income (MHI), unemployment rate (UR), median gross rent month (MGRM), % uninsured, median house value (MHV), % high school; were geocoded by zip code using the 2014 American Community Survey. Demographics and clinical variables were compared between groups by chi-square test for frequency data or Kruskal Wallis rank-sum test for continuous variables. Results: 202,046 samples from 128,084 patients were analyzed. In the sample-level analysis, there were statistically significant associations between SES and SF def; all SES indicators except UR for B12 def; and no differences for iron def, except % uninsured (Table 1). There was no statistically significant interaction between race and SES for SF def and iron def. Race was a statistically significant modifier between B12 def and MHI (p&lt;0.001), % uninsured (p=0.002), and MHV (p=0.007). Asian and Other race had an increase in odds of B12 def with increasing MHI (Asian OR=1.11 , Other OR=1.18); white race had a decrease in odds of B12 def with increasing MHI (OR=0.95 for a $10,000 increase in MHI). Conclusions: We show significant relationships between SES and NA in the US. Differences were observed between SF def and all the SES indicators without race interactions. There were significant interactions between B12 def, race and SES for pts of White, Asian and Other race. There were no differences between SES and race for iron def. These relationships confirm that NA are related to area-level SES and other social determinants of health. Research regarding the causes of these disparities on a population level are needed. This research analyzed the influence of socioeconomic variables in the L2 learning in beginner students of level one in a language center in a public university in Babahoyo. In addition, variables such as parents’ level of education and home environment are analyzed in order to determine the relationship between these variables with L2 learning. Regarding the results, socioeconomic status affects pronunciation of students. Moreover, the influence of the critical period of hypothesis tends to be reduced in L2 learners if the kind of teaching procedure is appropriate to their needs.

The purposes of this article are to determine (a) employer attitudes toward hiring ex-offenders and (b) how these attitudes are affected by the level of training the ex-offender received while incarcerated, government incentives to hire, type of offense committed, and the relationship of the crime to the job to be filled. Eighty-three Houston and Dallas employers were surveyed on their attitudes toward hiring ex-offenders. In general, although the initial willingness to hire ex-offenders was low among employers, other findings indicate that the level of education, government incentives, and the relationship of the crime to the job increase employer willingness to hire an ex-offender. The type of offense, however, when disclosed, appears to have a negative effect on employers' willingness to hire, especially toward those with violent and sexual crimes as well as crimes against children. Limitations and policy applications of the findings are also discussed.

TAT-assessed need strengths of Aggression, Achievement, and Nurturance were compared with self-reported strength of these needs for groups of nonpsychotic Ss differing in the presumed strength of the needs, sex, years of schooling, and socioeconomic status. The following conclusions appear justified: (a) Interjudge reliabilities greater than .90 can be obtained for assessing need strengths from TAT protocols; (b) Projectively assessed and self-reported need strengths were not highly related for any need investigated for any group of Ss; (c) The relationship of projectively assessed to self-reported need strength of any need was not meaningfully differential across groups.
