Objective - Determination of the performance factors of the small culinary business sector is an important aim of this research. The research also aims to analyze the interconnectedness between the factors which generate competitive advantage and improve the performance of small and medium-sized enterprise businesses. Methodology/Technique - Questionnaires were distributed to 115 such enterprises in the culinary field located in the city of Pekanbaru with the use of the cluster area a non-random sampling technique. In addition, a Likert scale was used to obtain responses from the participants, and the statistical analysis tool employed was PLS (Partial Least Squares). Findings - The research reveals that business networking and human resource competencies are factors that influence the business performance of small entrepreneurs in the culinary sector. However, competitive advantage does not influence the effect of human resource competence and business networking on business performance. Novelty - The variables studied in this culinary research field have not been comprehensively examined in previous studies. Type of Paper - Empirical. This research was conducted to analyze the effect of innovation orientation and entrepreneurship on the competitive advantage of culinary MSMEs in the Cilandak Barat area, South Jakarta. The population used for this study was 36 actors in the culinary field of SMEC. The sampling technique uses a saturated sampling method. The data analysis tool used is PLS 3.0. The results of this study indicate that the innovation variable has a significant influence on the culinary competitiveness of SMEC. And, entrepreneurial orientation has a significant influence on the culinary competitiveness of SMEC. The researcher suggests SMECs to pay attention to other factors that can influence competitive advantage. Keywords: Innovation, Entrepreneurship Orientation, Competitive Advantage

This study aimed to find out the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, innovation and marketing capabilities on competitive advantage. The research population comprised Fish Processing Business in Semarang City. The sample was selected by means of the purposive sampling technique. The sample was 100 companies. The data were collected by a questionnaire, interviews, and documentation. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique using AMOS 24.0 analysis tool. The test results using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques indicate that the model is in accordance with population data. The results of the study showed that entrepreneurship oriented , innovation and marketing capabilities had a significant positive effect on competitive advantage. Used by analyzer for example validity test, test reliabilitas, and hipotesis test use modelling equation structural (SEM).

Abstract To produce good performance, UMKM entrepreneurs must know how to manage their business finances. UMKM with good performance will have high competitiveness. To realize this, quality human resources are needed. In addition, in order to be able to develop SMEs, they are required to be creative and innovative in developing effective marketing strategies in order to produce good business performance. A UMKM will be difficult to develop if its business actors do not know how to market an effective product. This research aims to explore the effects of financial management, human resource competencies and marketing strategies on UMKM performance. This research uses 99 samples, namely the trade sector UMKMs that are included in the Denpasar Cooperative SMEs. Determination of the sample using the Slovin formula and the sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to the survey method. To answer the research hypothesis using analytical tools, namely multiple linear regression. The results showed that financial management, human resource competencies and marketing strategies had a positive effect on MSME performance. UMKM dengan kinerja yang baik akan memiliki daya saing yang tinggi. Untuk mewujudkan hal itu dibutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Selain itu, agar mampu berkembang pelaku UMKM dituntut untuk kreatif dan inovatif dalam menyusun strategi pemasaran yang efektif agar menghasilkan kinerja usaha yang bagus. Sebuah UMKM akan sulit berkembang jika pelaku usahanya tidak mengetahui bagaimana cara memasarkan suatu produk yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali pengaruh pengelolaan keuangan, kompetensi sumber daya manusia dan strategi pemasaran pada kinerja UMKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan 99 sampel yaitu UMKM sektor perdagangan yang termasuk dalam UMKM binaan Koperasi Kota Denpasar. Penentuan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin dan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner dengan metode survei. Untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian menggunakan alat analisis yaitu regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan keuangan, kompetensi sumber daya manusia dan strategi pemasaran berpengaruh positif pada kinerja UMKM. This study aimed at explaining the influence of disruptive innovation on business performance with competitive advantage as a mediator and networking capability as moderate. The tool of analysis used was Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The sample size of this research was 120 owners and/or managers of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Purwokerto areas. The result showed that disruptive innovation has a positive effect on both business performance and competitive advantage. The study supported the view that competitive advantage has a positive impact on business performance.  Also, competitive advantage act as mediating variable on the relationship between disruptive innovation and business performance. Finally, the last hypothesis stated that networking as moderation variable of disruptive innovation to business performance was supported.

The oil palm business is one of the businesses that can help the country's economy and help improve people's welfare. The effectiveness of SME business performance is influenced by training, organizing, utilization, and development. The target community is SMEs in Lebuh Lurus village, Inuman Kuantan Singingi sub-district. Increased marketing performance and competitive strategies can be applied to oil palm farmers with training and skill mentoring. This activity is carried out by direct counseling/discussion, discussion, and question and answer. The implementation of this activity is divided into several stages, including preparation, counseling and assistance, evaluation, and discussion. Competitive advantage, competitive intelligence, cross-functional working relationships as solutions to improving marketing performance in oil palm plantation SMEs in the province of Riau. The results of this activity teaches and administers to the oil palm smallholders in implementing competitive strategies and marketing palm oil products. Training for human resource oil palm workers and the creation of agricultural counseling programs.

<p>This study is aimed at developing the model of organizational effectiveness in university through social capital and competitive advantage. The populations of this study are the head of study programs and the structural officials in some Universities in Semarang. In this case, We used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in AMOS 21.0 program as the analysis tool. The result of the study and model analysis showed that even though the social capital had significant positive influenced to the competitive advantage in the university, the improvement of social capital and competitive advantage at university could not improve the university organizational effectiveness. Then, between two factors which influenced the competitive advantage (internal social capital and external social capital), it is obtained that external social capital got the dominant influenced factor to competitive advantage. The managerial implication suggested the policies should focus on improving the quality of cooperative relationships with external parties in the university. </p><p>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membangun model efektifitas organisasi pada perguruan tinggi melalui modal sosial dan keunggulan bersaing. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ketua program studi maupun pejabat struktural pada perguruan tinggi di Semarang. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) pada program AMOS 21.0.Hasil pengujian dan analisis model menunjukkan bahwa pada meskipun modal sosial memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keunggulan berasingn pada perguruan tinggi namun peningkatan modal sosial dan keunggulan kompetitif pada perguruan tinggi belum mampu meningkatkan efektifitas organidsasi perguruan tinggi tersebut. Selanjutnya diantara kedua faktor yang mempengaruhi keunggulan bersaing (internal social capitaldan external social capital), didapatkan bahwa external social capital merupakan faktor yang paling dominan pengaruhnya terhadap keunggulan bersaing. Implikasi manajerial yang dapat disarankan oleh penelitian ini adalah kebijakan yang menitikberatkan pada peningkatan kulitas hubungan kerjasama dengan pihak eksternal pada perguruan tinggi.</p><p>JEL Classification: L, L2, L20</p>

The Bank is an institution that has a role as a financial intermediary between parties who need funds and can facilitate the payment flows. Additionally, The Bank has a function as industries that rely on public trust, so the health level of the Bank needs to be maintained. Profitability is essential for a bank because it measures a company's effectiveness in generating profits by maximizing its assets. This research aim is to investigate the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Third Parties Funds (TPF), dan Non-Performing Loan (NPL), on Profitability with LDR as Intervening Variables. This research population is conventional commercial banks in Indonesia between 2012 to 2016. This research type is causality research using quantitative data—the sampling technique using a purposive sampling total of 150 samples. The statistical analysis tool in this research is lane analysis with software versions of AMOS 22 and IBM SPSS. The conclusion from this research results that CAR, TAPI F, and NPL variables affect LDR. The CAR, TPF, and LDR variables have not affected profitability, while the NPL variable affects profitability. Furthermore, CAR, TPF, and NPL cannot mediated by LDR.

This research is focused on Batik businessmen or craftsmen in Banyumas Regency, to examine the improvement of HR competency towards performance and sustainability achievement. This study uses purposive sampling technique and there are 52 samples collected. The data analysis tool used is multiple linear regressions. The results of this study indicate that partially knowledge has a significant effect on Performance and Sustainability, skills does not affect Performance, but affect Sustainability. Ability has a significant effect on Performance and Sustainability. The variables of knowledge, skills, and abilities have 43,4 % effect on performance and have 48,2 % effect on sustainability. The results of the study indicate that batik business and craftsmen have the potential to develop and to manage HR competencies in a more directed and more optimal manner. HR competency has a strategic role in creating performance which will ultimately be a sustainable competitive advantage

This study is aimed to determine the differences in the perception of the accounting student alumnus of STIE Perbanas Surabaya regarding the ethics of business and profession based on gender. The type of data used is primary data using question-naires. The sampling technique is using non-probability samples based on purposive sampling technique. The number of samples processed is 85 respondents from the accounting student alumnus of STIE Perbanas Surabaya. The statistical analysis tool is the Mann Whitney Test using SPSS version 16.0. The first hypothesis of this study can be concluded that there are differences in the perceptions of the account-ing student alumnus regarding the ethics of business and accountant profession based on gender. The second hypothesis indicates that there is no difference in the perception of the accounting student alumnus regarding the ethics of business and accountant profession based on gender, which has a significance level under 0.05 or 5 percent.

The phenomenon that will be analyzed in this research is that the current development raises the urgency that there is a need for more effective and efficient performance that can increase productivity, increase profits and reduce costs. Batik MSMEs in Laweyan, Solo, Central Java, which currently mostly use manual and semi-manual methods, need to develop themselves in order to be able to compete with batik invaders from abroad such as Malaysia, China and Vietnam. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of technology adaptation, market orientation and networking on the competitive advantage and business performance of batik MSMEs in Laweyan, Solo, Central Java. The population chosen in this study were all of the Batik Laweyan UMKM as many as 156 UMKM Batik. The number of respondents used in this study was 156 Laweyan Batik UMKM. The sampling technique in this research is the census method. The data collection method is by using a questionnaire. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling. Based on research, market orientation has a positive effect on competitive advantage, adaptation of modern technology and networking has no effect on competitive advantage. Adaptation of modern technology, market orientation, networking and competitive advantage have a positive effect on business performance. In terms of testing the fit model, it states that the model has a good fit. So from this it can be concluded that the model has a good enough fit to predict business performance.
