Land criticality takes place because of a complex set of technical, biophysical, social, and cultural factors. Socially, participation in rehabilitating degraded land is a measure of the success of a rehabilitation project. Therefore, this study aims to determine the form and extent of the contribution of local wisdom in participatory critical land rehabilitation efforts using agroforestry patterns. An exploratory approach designed in qualitative research was used, and data collection was conducted through brainstorming techniques and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Furthermore, a descriptive qualitative analysis was used, and data acquisition includes reduction, presentation, conclusion, and verification. The results showed that community participation is involved in the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities, all of which can be enhanced by an empowerment approach aimed at rural communities. Meanwhile, sustainable agroforestry participation can be achieved by integrating local huyula wisdom into agroforestry development. The Huyula configuration is practiced in group deliberations during planning activities relating to locations, plant types, planting, maintaining plants, and recommendations. The aim is to achieve environmental improvement and to rehabilitate critical land through agroforestry. Furthermore, agroforestry development should be conducted on a massive scale in the future via the integration of various sectors to optimize the rehabilitation of critical land and create a sustainable environment.

Abstract In our paper we will talk about the whole process of standardization of the Albanian language, where it has gone through a long historical route, for almost a century.When talking about standard Albanian language history and according to Albanian language literature, it is often thought that the Albanian language was standardized in the Albanian Language Orthography Congress, held in Tirana in 1972, or after the publication of the Orthographic Rules (which was a project at that time) of 1967 and the decisions of the Linguistic Conference, a conference of great importance that took place in Pristina, in 1968. All of these have influenced chronologically during a very difficult historical journey, until the standardization of the Albanian language.Considering a slightly wider and more complex view than what is often presented in Albanian language literature, we will try to describe the path (history) of the standard Albanian formation under the influence of many historical, political, social and cultural factors that are known in the history of the Albanian people. These factors have contributed to the formation of a common state, which would have, over time, a common standard language.It is fair to think that "all activity in the development of writing and the Albanian language, in the field of standardization and linguistic planning, should be seen as a single unit of Albanian culture, of course with frequent manifestations of specific polycentric organization, either because of divisions within the cultural body itself, or because of the external imposition"(Rexhep Ismajli," In Language and for Language ", Dukagjini, Peja, 1998, pp. 15-18.)

Background: The problem of low exclusive breast feeding achievement in Indonesia is caused by social cultural factors, i.e. the minimal understanding of expecting mother, family, society, and health servant with the exclusive breast feeding. The husband’s and grandmother’s motivation will influence on successful breast feeding. Objective: This study is aimed to reveal the exclusive breast feeding achievement ang the role of grandmother. Method: This is an observational study. The researcher observes the society phenomena in Bangunjiwo Village, Bantul Regency. The subjects of the study are: 1) grandmothers aging ≥ 55 yeras old, 2) breast feeding mothers, and 3) Posyandu cadres. The data are collected by the focus group discussion, detail interview, and documentation.The instruments of the study are FGD, stationaries, tape recorder, and camera. The data are analyzed from the preparation of transcript, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Results: the success of breast feeding is motivated by grandmother’s role, i.e. 1) suggesting, 2) motivating, 3) caring, 4) reminding when mother goes out, 5) giving the stored mother’s milk for working mother, and midwive’s explanation and training for expecting mother. Conclusion: The role of grandmother in exclusive breast feeding will increase: 1) mother’s understanding of breast feeding advantages, 2) mother’s awareness of exclusive breast feeding, and 3) mother’s attitude of exclusive breast feeding. Therefore, a breast feeding mother will be able to increase in practicing exclusive breast feeding by: 1) overcoming obstacles, 2) consuming balanced nutrition, 3) maintaning health and drinking herb. Previous efforts in end-user development have focused on facilitating the mechanics of learning programming, leaving aside social and cultural factors equally important in getting youth engaged in programming. As part of a 4-month long ethnographic study, we followed two 12-year-old participants as they learned the programming software Scratch and its associated file-sharing site, scratch.mit.edu, in an after-school club and class. In our discussion, we focus on the role that agency, membership, and status played in their joining and participating in local and online communities of programmers.

Low-income countries typically collect taxes of between 10 to 20 percent of GDP while the average for high-income countries is more like 40 percent. In order to understand taxation, economic development, and the relationships between them, we need to think about the forces that drive the development process. Poor countries are poor for certain reasons, and these reasons can also help to explain their weakness in raising tax revenue. We begin by laying out some basic relationships regarding how tax revenue as a share of GDP varies with per capita income and with the breadth of a country's tax base. We sketch a baseline model of what determines a country's tax revenue as a share of GDP. We then turn to our primary focus: why do developing countries tax so little? We begin with factors related to the economic structure of these economies. But we argue that there is also an important role for political factors, such as weak institutions, fragmented polities, and a lack of transparency due to weak news media. Moreover, sociological and cultural factors—such as a weak sense of national identity and a poor norm for compliance—may stifle the collection of tax revenue. In each case, we suggest the need for a dynamic approach that encompasses the two-way interactions between these political, social, and cultural factors and the economy.

Abstract Objective: As Mexico continues to develop, an epidemiological and nutritional transition has led to an increase in infant formula use in its rural and indigenous communities. Our objective was to determine the social and cultural factors that influence the use of formula in such populations in Central Mexico. Design: Qualitative study using a data collection instrument based on the socio-ecological framework. Setting: Two rural and indigenous communities in Central Mexico. Participants: Mothers, fathers, grandparents and healthcare providers. Results: Breast-feeding was favoured in both communities; however, several cultural traditions hindered exclusive breast-feeding. As these communities became more developed, emerging ideas of modernity led to negative connotations about breast-feeding and many mothers began to view formula as a complement for breast-feeding. Formula was seen as a convenient solution for breast pain, insufficient milk and body image. Healthcare providers promoted the use of formula through their own beliefs, information, communication and conflicts of interest with formula industry representatives. The recent social and economic changes in these communities combined with the increased advertising and availability of breast milk substitutes have facilitated the preference for formula. Conclusions: Women in rural, indigenous communities in Central Mexico are increasingly using formula. Efforts at the policy and institutional levels are needed to protect mothers and their children from the detrimental consequences of unregulated formula promotion and the formula culture that it brings with it.

The objective of the article is identify of probability ofexpanding internship program with PNJ by not only KAP but also other type of industries and also to identify the role of KAP in supporting Kampus Merdeka Curriculum. The result show, KAP plays a dominant role in supporting internship program where KAP has already started the supporting many students to learn and experiencing the real world. The curriculum has already support the need of KAP therefore, this link is possible to be expanded. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai media dan sumber sumber resmi dari kementrian pendidikan dan kebudayaan dan diolah dengan menggunakan metode compare, contras dan sintesis. Hasilnya menyimpulkan bahwa kerja sama antara KAP dan PNJ telah mempelopori implementasi kurikulum kampus merdeka dan telah memberi manfaat bagi KAP, mahasiswa dan PNJ.
